Arvalia;
Arvalia was exploring the new territory. Cautiously she made her way through the thick forest foliage, stepping lightly and silently. Her piercing blue eyes were set forward, her audits swiveling outward. She paused, her tail curling slightly. She heard the sound of water cascading down into a pool, dripping elegantly down onto rocks. The dark made it harder to see, so she squinted and looked around. Nothing but crickets. She lifted her snout to the sky and breathed in, catching old scents of hare. She wrinkled her nose. Nothing good. Choosing to follow the sound of the water, she trotted on. As she grew closer to the sound, her shoulders began feeling heavy. Wait. In the distance, she could hear a howl. The timid female didn't yet realize just how close she was now to the canine who had created such a powerful howl. She paused then as a scent ambushed her nose and the wolf came into view. Her neck-fur bristled and she opened her muzzle, her claws sinking into the grass below her. Would this wolf use force to drive her away, or would they be kind? She couldn't take the chance, but she couldn't run. Her ears flattened back to her skull as she froze in place. It had been a long time since she last encountered another canine, and she didn't know what to do.
