Jay finds himself at the Lunar Plain

Amber watched with Jay as the butterfly fluttered up above their crowns higher and she yipped to the thing, shifting on her pads with soft whimpers before she leapt up to try and touch it but just missing it as she came back to the terra with a thud of her paw pads. Flicking an audit as it starting to come back down she looked to Jay and saw him basically wiggling his rump and in made her laugh, she thought it was cute. Looking back up to the blue butterfly she trotted along beside Jay, tassel whipping their hinds happily as the followed the pretty insect before suddenly Jay tripped over her and she yelped as he also tripped her in the process. Tumbling down onto the terra with him she shook out her crown of some grass, giving her nose a soft lick afterwards. She had landed slightly ontop of the brute, her fore half draped across his back and ribs. Realizing she had lost the butterfly her auds perked and she looked about, finding it up high and flying away. A whimper escaped the fae before she suddenly got distracted by the brutes aud, playful growls escaping her as she latched onto his audit to chew on it playfully.

Jay lets out a playful yelp as she takes his ear in her maw to shake it out, he had forgotten she had been following the thing with him but now was more then willing to take her on in a friendly rough house. He does this half hop off the ground to flop his body on top of hers knowing her out weighed her and that it was an easy way to pin her down. He also knew that like that pups at home, she would probably let go of his ear to complain about him getting off and how fat he was which would give him his opportunity to run for a good game of chase which he particularly enjoyed.

Willow sits on her branch for a little bit before thinking she should tell someone. Jay would probably understand, she usually confided in him when something was on her mind. But she snickered, watching the wolves play. Sitting up, she jumps down and stretches, it actually felt good, knowing her spine wouldn't pop out and all. She felt the fur on her spine rise and she started to walk around the small forest of trees. Her mind was racing with her dreams. She found it quite odd how they were in chronological order like that. Pain, happiness, fear and then back to pain, "Strange." she told herself, "I would have thought that dung was behind me now." but her back was aching and she layed down. Thinking about the puma attack, "How hungry must it be to try eating wolves?" she asked herself, "Why was it attacking us?" her ears began to twitch and flick again. She growled and placed her paws over them. She knew they only continued doing this when she was nervous or scared. But she was neither of those things. Shrugging, she layed her head down and swirled into sleep.

Amber yelped softly as the brute flopped ontop of her and she dropped his aud like he thought she would but instead of complaining about his weight she wrapped her fores around his neck tightly and opened her maw with cute, playful growls and trying to wrap her jaws around his nose and face. She nipped happily at his auds while her tassel whipped her hinds and she squirmed hyperly beneath his frame that had her pinned down slightly to the terra.

Jay was not used to that reaction, he felt weird when she squirmed under him and he tried to pull away when she took hold of his face. He tries pulling himself free wanting to get away, why he couldn't understand because all of a sudden he felt shy, embarrassed and nervous all at the same time. It was making his stomach do these strange flips that wouldn't stop so he struggled to get free from her, he knew that if he squirmed enough she would have to reconsider her hold on him since it would be waning hoping she would unlatch to readjust her position.

Suddenly their play to Amber didn't feel like he wanted to play anymore and that she was doing something wrong. Laying her auds to she side she looked at him and slowly took her fores away from around his nape. Her playful mood had vanished now as she looked up and whimpered to the brute, tucking her tassel gently between her hinds as its swaying had stopped completely. Her amber orbs looked up at him, asking what she had done as she laid there still and pulled her fores tight into her chest.

Willow snickers watching them and sits down, "Ready to move on?" she asks before her ears start twitching again. Thinking about this, she feels her tail twitch. Anxious was the first thing to go through her head. But why? She shrugs and walks around back to her tree, "Get me when you two are ready, love birds." she smiles with her fangs out, her tail had stopped twitching and one of her ears had stopped flicking. If only she could get the other to stop. But maybe it would with time.

Jay looks at the little fae with eyes that just showed his nervousness, he couldn't really explain what was wrong for there really wasn't anything wrong wrong...he just felt weird was all. When he heard Willow he nodded and looked over towards her as he moved off the yearling. " Where are we going?" he asks then snorts to what Willow said, " Love birds?" he raises a brow, " I think you took a hit to the head." he sits and smacks her head, " Yup. Hit to the head." he laughs with a series of yips at her but took a peek back at Amber wondering what Willow had seen to make her think such a thing.

Willow looks at Jay and jumps on him, "I think you just got tackled by a rabid wolf." she snickers and gets up, shaking away the place where he hit her. Her fangs were sticking out in an attempt to hold in another laugh, "Oh come on, she likes you." she nudges him gently with her paw, "And I think you like her back." a glimmer of tease lit up Willow's clear blue eyes, her ear had stopped flicking and she wagged her tail, letting it stir up the grit around her. She looks back at him, her eyes kinda serious, "Just keep moving. I really don't know where we can go. I actually like it here, the nights are pretty and the days are just beautiful. You really wanna keep moving on, cause I think if we do, we may run into more trouble." then her eyes went back to her sparking tease, "Oh, and I want to tell you what's been bothering me for this time." her ears were flicking again. It really felt weird but she didn't care.

Amber scanned his nervous orbs as she still laid there under him, partially on her back. Willow said something then and he seemed all to quick in removing himself from her. Watching him move away for a moment the fae sighed as she rolled onto her belly then pulled herself up onto her paw pads, gently shaking out her recently groomed derma just to get some grass and leaves off of her pelt. The femmes auds where still low as she didn't understand what she did to make his mood change so suddenly toward her yet. Padding on toward the two she didn't bring her orbs up for awhile, her crown low also as she had no idea Jay had been looking back at her. When the amber stones did shift back up they met his accidently, auds twisting just slightly to pull back shyly before she corrected them by perking them towards him without lifting her crown. Then without warning Willow tackled him and she blinked, audits falling as her tread forward stopped, not wanting to bother the two and she slinked off slowly to sit near a tree and lick at the gashes along her chest, far enough away she wasn't in hearing distance.

Jay screams as he was tackled and his rump wags a bit before he pries himself from under her, his eyes instantly darting back to Amber only to find her missing and he looked around. Ears perked on his head while he searched for her and when he found her near the tree he wondered why she hadn't joined them in playing. He had been about to join her when Willow confessed she wanted to tell him something so he planted his butt on the terrain and takes in a breath. " Alright. Shoot."

Willow snickers at Jay's response to her slight attack. Then swivles her ears around to where Amber was sitting, "Ever since we first saw her after the other wolf, my dreams have become nightmares. It's the way her fur and eyes look, they remind me of the pack that killed my family. And in my dreams, she's there killing my parents. What should I do?" her voice rose to a howl in that last question and lays down, her paws over her ears in an attempt to get whatever she just said out of her ears.

Amber continued to clean out her wounds tenderly for awhile and when she was finished she moved slightly to groom down the baby soft fur that clung to her chest. She had always taken good care of herself and her pelt, or rather she learned to as even in her old pack she was never given any affection like the other pups or told anything that was going on within it, they had even taught the other pups not to tell her. She had been exiled long before she had left that place and never once did she have another wolf groom her. It didn't make her sad or angry at them for some reason though.. yeah she had never really known her parents but it if happened it was meant to right? Or atleast that was her thinking as she wandered around through her head while busying herself with her black and white speckled ribs and orangeish white belly and sides.

Jays butt stopped moving as he listened to Willows concerns, peeking a glance at Amber when she explained that the fae reminded her of the pack that had destroyed her family. " Maybe she was part of that pack...but they abandoned her and if her pack did attack yours she would've been a pup then and..." he pauses to look back at Willow, " Even if all that were true. I know what you're after...revenge and even if she knew where that other pack was you couldn't possibly take them on alone and even if you could find them again there's no saying they'd tell you what happened to your sister if that's what you were thinking either..." he sighs, " What's done is done and it's in the past, either you let the past run your life for you or you change it to make it great but only you control the out come of your own destiny. I've let my past haunt me for too long Willow...don't let it ruin your life like it did mine." he says before rising to his feet. " Anything else you want to talk about?" he asks raising a brow in question towards her. He hoped the wisdom he had gained in such matters could help her but he wasn't sure it would, not even his own dreams had ceased about his old pack and at times the urge to find them came back. However he had followed that path and found himself missing a tail and with a crippled leg, he knew all to well the sacrifices one had to make if they ran blindly into the path of danger to find the ones one has lost and he hoped he could stop Willow from making the same mistake.

Willow lays there and shakes her head, "Thanks Jay, for listening to me rambling on about this dung." She sits up, her ears still flicking and nods, "Nothing else to talk about." She smiles slightly and walks off back toward the forest and climbs a tree. Laying on the highest branch, she flicks a paw, did she really want revenge? If so, why didn't she get it in that battle. And she knew that all of her pack was dead, except for her and maybe a few of the pups Rushing River had hidden. She shrugs off the matter and wraps her tail around her hind legs and lays there, absobed in her own thoughts.

Jay nods, " Glad I could help." he says before she headed off for the tree, he hops forward towards the ravine they left the dead puma at. Hoping that there was possibly a stream there he could get a drink from to rid himself of the parched feeling in his maw, he licks his chops trying to wet his pallet as he made his way there. Once at the edge he looks down and ponders for a few minutes how he was going to manage getting down it, there were outcroppings of dirt and rocks here and there so he figured if he made his way from one to the next he should be able to get down. So he slowly let his front paw slide down the dirt embankment, however from there things didn't go according to plan. His weight slide him down without much control at all and before he could try pulling himself up to try again he was going down, he slid on his rump as he tried to steer himself to a clump of dirt which worked...but he hadn't planned on the thing just crumbling underneath his weight. It had slowed his slid but had caught him so that he was now beginning to slid sideways, his head was swiveling around as he tried to think of something to do anything but it was too late his leg caught and he started rolling down the ravine instead of sliding down it. Hitting the ground in intervals now he let out barks and yips as he came down only to let out a solid Ooof as he hit something solid and it stopped him. His eyes were darting from left to right and his vision still spun, shaking his head out he turns around to be face to face with a nasty set of fangs covered in dried blood and he screams backing up quickly only to then get a better view and realize it was just the dead puma that had stopped his fall. Sticking his tongue out at the dead puma he climbs to his feet and starts to dust himself off of the debris he had collected on the way down when the carcass began to move. He slowly raised his head and turned to see it wiggling, he screams and darts away before he could see a rabbit moving and thumping angrily as apparently the pumas body was laying somewhat over its dens entrance. " HELP HELP!!" Jay screams as he ran.

Willow's ears perk and she jumps from her tree, "Jay?" she races toward his voice. Oh Lupus. He was at the ravine, this was going to be fun. Her ears stopped twitching and she saw the puma's carcass. Only, it wasn't alive, it was a rabbit. She snickers and jumps down to Jay's side, "Jay, it was just a hare. It's okay." she says soothingly. And slowing her pace to take a look back. Her ears had stopped twitching and she found herself walking, feeling like she was floating. She sits down and stares back up toward the sky, squinting at the sun's glare, "And if you want to get rid of the feeling of running, we better get back up there." she points with her muzzle toward the top of the ravine.

It wasn't long before Amber was finished grooming her entire derma, the fae shaking out her crown softly. Letting her fores slide forward slowly along the terra until her chest gently touched the soft grasses and she laid down. A heavy yawn escaped the fae, her torso twisting to get her hinds out from under her and let them lay to one side while she set her crown atop her fores. She could hear Jay's voice in the distance but couldn't really make out any words as she was just slightly to far away. Looking over at the two she sighed, wanting to go over but not wanting to intrude on their conversation, Jay had stood up. Figuring she just wait she rolled completely to her side, pulling her fores right to her chest and closing her soft amber orbs. Suddenly she was being woken up with a jolt and the little fae flung up her crown as she looked around, Jay wus screaming. Jumping up onto her paw pads her audits perked and she quickly bounded into a light run towards the ravine. Coming to the edge she skidded suddenly to a stop as she peered over and saw him down there. With the adrenaline pumping through her veins now it didn't take long before she was bounding down the ravine quickly, at one point landing wrong and pain shot through her ankle before she got to the bottom and trotted quickly up to Jay with a light limp. "What, what? What happened?" She yipped to him, giving his shoulder a soft lick as she held up her right fore paw gently.

Jay starts to slow as he heard the two of them trying to tell him something, hearing Amber first he starts to explain since he was farther away from where Willow was and having not seen her yet. " The Puma it's alive!" he says looking over her shoulder to see Willow standing next to it. " WILLOW RUN ITS STILL ALIVE!!" he yells at her but then hears her yell back that it was just a hare and he feels stupid. " Oh...well it moved...and I thought..." he says, but then noticed Amber was holding her paw up and he whines softly before touching a nose to the ankle that was beginning to swell. " What happened?" he whines softly, giving it a few gentle licks his ear twitching as Willow said something else about getting back up the ravine but his attention was more on the little fae's injury feeling really bad now that he had freaked out if it had been his fault for her getting hurt he would never forgive himself.

Amber's audits folded back slightly as Jay yelled over her shoulder towards Willow and it hurt her sensitive auds with him that close to her and the only reason she didn't flip out about what he had said was because she had finished the cat off herself. Looking back at Willow as she yelled back to Jay about it just being a hare her auds slowly came up and she flicked one softly. Feeling something touchingly her ankle and it hurt she whimpered, her crown coming back around to look down at Jay who asked her what had happened and she breathed back to him while he licked the swollen ankle. "While I was coming down the ravine to find you something messed up my footing and I landed wrong.." The fae breathed to him, she had probably gotten hurt more today than she had in the year she had been alive already with the gashes in her chest, her cheeks, and now her ankle that was starting to swell more.

Jay instead of blaming himself more went about helping her. He hopped over and got under her to carry her, situating her on his back and then lifting his hinds so she no longer touched the ground. " It's okay...I'm just going to help you..." he explains before walking very carefully and slowly to the small creek that was running along the ravine. Fear instantly rose in his chest when he saw the water, but he continued towards it only to set her down gently when they reached it. " Okay now dip that ankle in and keep it there. It'll help with the swelling and help quicken the healing...I hope you didn't break it...it's all my fault. I'm so sorry Amber." he whimpers and hangs his head, " Maybe...maybe I should just stay a loner everyone gets hurt when they're around me...I mean look at me I'm a clumsy mess." he says with a sigh and flops onto the cricks bank to lap up a bit of water into his mouth and drink. " Willow got attacked by a Puma, which we all know was probably really after me anyways...easy flippin' prey and all...maybe my pack was right in leaving me..." he whimpers and lays a fore over his face just wanting to disappear at that moment.

Amber couldn't stop her heart from racing when Jay slid under her and his spine ran along her belly as her audits pulled back shyly. He picked her up then and the little fae yipped as she left the terra and squirmed uncomfortably as he carried her and she tried to interupt the brute. "Jay you don't need to carry me I'm-" but then he spoke and she let him do what he wanted even though she didn't think her ankle was bad at all. While he carried her though she couldn't help but lay her face into his nape and close her orbs, taking in a deep breath of his scent and hoping he wouldnt notice. Flicking an aud her orbs opened again just before he set her down and she did as he said, dipping her ankle into the cold water and it did feel good. When the brute blamed himself though Amber looked to him, a whine passing throughout her throat. It wasn't his fault. She watched him and listened as he laid down beside her and lapped up some water, disagreeing in everything he was saying as her auds dropped and she whimpered while he put his fore over his face. "Jay I'm fine.. if anything I probably just sprained my ankle and it'll be good as new tomorrow.." she fae paused, trying to decide whether she should say or do what she was about to. "..and if it matters what I think I don't think you're a clumsy mess.. and.. don't blame yourself because I want you around.." the femme breathed to him, her auds still held back shyly as she moved to run her pink ribbon ever so gently and slowly across his muzzle in a tender kiss.

Jay listened to her and at first he just thought she was just trying to make him feel better but towards the end he was starting to side with that she did mean what she was saying. When she kissed him though his ears pulled back shyly and he kept doing this half peek at her then don't look at her thing. " You really still want me around? ...I'm telling you look at my butt and leg...then what happened today...are you sure you want to be near me. Trouble seems to follow me." he says starting to come out of his little barrier by laying his paw down slowly so that he could be seen again.

Amber smiled at the brute as he pulled the paw off his face, laying her crown down near his and breathing affectionately to him as she looked at him. "If I didn't want to be around you Jay why would I still be here? " The little fae asked him, squirming softly beside him only to lay closer to him and run her tongue lightly over his cheek while her tassel slowly began to wag and she almost made sure he would be able to feel it against his hinds. It dawned on her then that he may not like that she was giving him kisses judging on the fact that he hadn't really looked at her much when she had done it the first time so her tassel slowed and she let her auds drop just softly. " I'm sorry..if you don't want me to I just.." she trailed off, looking down at her shy expression in the waters reflection.

Jay gets bold for once around a girl, " NO...I mean...please don't stop..." he whispers the last part shyly, he had enjoyed the licks to his fur as it had been calming and relaxing something he hadn't even felt with his family. He licks her nose playfully and grins, " Probably should join Willow before she starts getting worried." he says not really wanting to leave the little fae's side but knowing that they should probably get back to Willow seeing as they did just have a puma attack and he wasn't sure what else the day might have in store for the three of them.
