New Beginnings

Tsuji, the snow-white wolf, was walking through the once familiar territory of the Dense Woods, which, a long time ago, had been his home. And yet, even now as he walks about the territory, he remembers very little.

Not intentionally, he had ended up staying in the Dense Woods because of some friends he tried not to make, but made anyway. Then he made the mistake of going his separate way, which only led to him losing the only friends he knew, and also losing himself. Now, although he doesn't know why, he has come back to the Dense Woods. Maybe companionship. Maybe an ending. Maybe a final resolution.

Jasmine was grooming herself until she heard something coming. She sniffed the air. In curiosity, she trotted over to where the scent was coming from. It was the scent of a male wolf. She found the other wolf. She hated being rude to strangers so she smiled and walked over to him. "Hello." The other wolf was white. Unlike herself, who was black.

Tsuji heard a noise off to his right. "Hello" a mysterious voice said. He turned around, and encountered a wolf who appeared to be black as night, except for her paws, which looked like small white socks, and blue eyes. Immediately, he became the ferocious, defensive wolf he was, but he couldn't help thinking that the wolf ahead of him was not a threat.

"What do you want?" He said. "And who are you?"

He crouched down, prepared for any conflict, but tried not be look very threatening. The last thing he need was a fight, especially since he had hurt his paw earlier in the day.

"What do you want?" "And who are you?" The wolf had asked Jasmine. She noticed he crouched a little. "He thinks i'm going to attack." She thought. Jasmine noticed a wound on the wolf's paw. "I'm Jasmine." "I am just exploring the forest." Jasmine said. She smiled and laughed. "And i'm not going to attack." She giggled. "So whats your name?" Jasmine asked.

Tsuji relaxed a little bit. He knew he was acting irrationally. "I'm sorry. It's just been awhile since I've seen another wolf." He sat down, but didn't take his eyes off of Jasmine - not because of fear, but because he found he couldn't look away. "I'm Tsuji." The wolf answered.

"I"m sorry. It's just been awhile since I've seen another wolf." He said. The wolf sat down. He stared at me. "I'm Tsuji." He said. "Nice to meet you, Tsuji. What are you doing here? Your territory?" I said. I sat down, waiting for a responce. I smiled bigger until my fangs showed.

"Unfortunately, no. First of all, I'm just a lone wolf, and I have no influence over this entire territory." As he said that, he remembered the wolves that changed him when he was a lot crueler than now, and the sadness was evident on his face. "I honestly don't know why I came here. Probably the faith that I could start over, and do something with my life." As he responded to her question, he found he could finally look away, no longer allured by the charm of the black wolf in front of him. "A better question to ask, though, is what are you doing here? You said you're exploring the forest, but why? Don't you have a family, or a pack?" for once, he looked concerned for the wolf in front of him, but the concern only lasted a second.

"Unfortunately, no. First of all, I'm just a lone wolf, and I have no influence ove this entire territory." Tsuji said. Jasmine saw his expression change. "I honestly don't know why I came here. Probably the faith that I could start over, and do something with my life." Tsuji said. Jasmine nodded. "A better question to ask, though, is what are you doing here? You said you're exploring the forest, but why? Don't you have a family, or a pack?" Tsuji asked. Jasmine froze. "No. I have no family. No pack. I'm a loner out here." Jasmine said, turning her head away. "My family-" She paused. "Nevermind." Jasmine said.

Tsuji was going to encourage her to go on, but he decided against it. First of all, he hardly knew this wolf. And second of all, he was more concerned with himself than he could be concerned with any other wolf.

Tsuji looked back at Jasmine, then got up and turned away. "Well, Jasmine. It's been a pleasure meeting you." Tsuji said and started off.

"Well, Jasmine. It's been a pleasure meeting you." Tsuji said to Jasmine. "Bye." Jasmine said, sadly. Jasmine was lonely. She really wanted Tsuji as a friend. But she just watched him leave. She dropped her head and ears. "Maybe....I could follow him." Jasmine thought with curiosity. She smiled. Jasmine climbed up a tree. She jumped to a branch of another tree. But her tiny legs made it hard for her to jump far. So she jumped from tree to tree following Tsuji.

Tsuji began walking through the forest, and for the first time in a long time, he was feeling doubtful.

There was no mistaking it: he liked Jasmine a lot. Not only did he think she was pretty, but she was the first wolf who hadn't shown any hostility towards him. And then he was leaving her, before he even got to know her.

"Tsuji! Why are you doing this? You're getting nowhere running away from everything!" He said aloud to himself. Somewhere above, a tree branch crackled, but Tsuji didn't notice. "You need to go back! And besides, your vulnerable out here, with a hurt paw and an empty stomach." But no matter how much he tried to talk himself into turning back, he couldn't bring himself to do it. Even if he felt extremely bad for Jasmine, he still couldn't muster up the will to turn around and talk to her.

Then, ahead, a bush suddenly split apart. Tsuji barked in surprise as a black figure, many times taller and larger than Tsuji, rose out of the forest on hind legs, and reached towards the sky, making it appear far more ferocious and dangerous than when Tsuji first laid eyes on it: Tsuji was looking at a grizzly bear. And, worse than that, the grizzly bear was staring back at Tsuji.

With a ferocious roar, he swung his huge paw at Tsuji's side, knocking him slightly off the ground and landing a few feet away. Tsuji got up, more fazed than actually harmed, but the bear still continued towards Tsuji.

While Jasmine was jumping through the trees she heard Tsuji say something. "Tsuji! Why are you doing this? You're getting nowhere running away from everything!" Tsuji said. Jasmine giggled softly because of the fact that Tsuji was talking to himself. "You need to go back! And besides, your vunerable out here, with a hurt paw and an empty stomach." Tsuji continued. "Wow. He really cares. About me." Jasmine thought. Jasmine heard a rustle. She noticed that Tsuji was looking there, too. A black grizzly bear! The bear swiped at Tsuji. Without warning, Jasmine jumped on the grizzly's shoulders and attacked.

The bear was abut to side-swipe Tsuji again when he saw a black streak hit the bear between both shoulders. At first, he didn't notice what it was that hit the bear until the behemoth monster fell to the ground from the impact. Jasmine!

"Jasmine!" He yelped! Eager to help, he too jumped on the bear and bit into it's flank. Even though he thought he bit hard, he didn't break the skin, and the bear reared up, sending Tsuji flying off. Then Tsuji saw why the bear was attacking them: three small grizzly cubs were cowering in the bush the bear came out of.

"Jasmine! The bear is only protecting it's cubs! Lets get out of here!" Tsuji yelled, but what he said was drowned out but the grizzly's scream. He tried to throws Jasmine off, and Tsuji could see blood begin to stain the ground. But the blood wasn't the bears - it was his own. Tsuji began to feel faint.

"Jasmine!" Tsuji said, suprized. Tsuji bit the bear. Still holding on, the bear reared and Tsuji flew off. "Jasmine! The bear is-" Tsuji said but some of his words were faint. The bear ran around, trying to buck Jasmine off. Eventually, she flew off, too. Jasmine collapsed on the ground next to Tsuji. She saw blood on the ground. It was Tsuji's. Tsuji looked like he was going to faint. Before she could do anything, the bear clawed the back of her head. She looked at Tsuji. "What did you say?" Jasmine asked Tsuji, trying to get up.

"In the... bush. Bear cubs..." Tsuji was feeling very dizzy now. He looked about, but things were tilting at odd angles. The bear, now heading towards both Tsuji and Jasmine, seemed to be parallel with where the ground should be, and the ground was at a 45 degree angles with where the trees should be. However, as he looked around, he caught site of both the cubs and Jasmine, and his senses cleared up a little. "Run!" Was all he could manage before he turned and bolted yet again into the forest.

As he ran, his blood dropped on the ground, but his heart was circulating blood faster, and the wound was healing fairly quickly. After about five minutes of running, he stopped, unable to go on, and lay down. He ran fast enough to be out of immediate danger of the bear, but not far enough to be completely safe. As he went to rest, he found he was very tired. Without even thinking about it, he closed his eyes and began to sleep.

"Tsuji" A voice called. Tsuji, who was now dreaming, turned around to see another blinding-white wolf directly in front of him. "Tsuji - you must protect the wolf you travel with." Then the wolf started off, and Tsuji woke up again. His wound had opened, and he was bleeding, but not a lot of blood came out.

"Jasmine" he tried to yell, but found he was too weak to yell, and just rested on the cold, hard ground.

"In the bush. Bear cubs." Tsuji answered. Jasmine looked around until she finally found them. "Oh." Jasmine said. Tsuji looked around dizzily. "Tsuji, are you ok?" Jasmine asked him. "Run!" Tsuji yelled. Tsuji ran before Jasmine could say anything else. Jasmine ran around, looking for Tsuji and trying to lose the bear. After a while, the bear was no where to be found. Jasmine sniffed the air. Jasmine could barely smell anything, since the bear swiped her. She could hear a faint, "Jasmine" in the distance. "Tsuji!" Jasmine called. Running, Jasmine tried her best to find Tsuji. She had to help him.

Wandering through the lands she had last seen her friends,back when she was younger.The place where she had found her mate,called this her home,and made her packs land.Birthed her pups and become heart broken.Long forgotten tales were entwined in these forests.Moons and moons ago,some longer than she could possibly count.Aleu paced on,she wanted to leave her pack.Become a loner once again,in secrecy she had ran away from it all,her pack mates,her pups,her mate,her homelands where the pack resided.In a peaceful valley nestled away.She was in a depression,denile.
What is wrong with you Aleu...She thought to herself.But she heard a faint whisperish call."Jasmine.."It echoed throgh the trees.Until she heard a call back."Tsuji."She stopped,a long time friend that had left the lands and what she called her packlands.Someone she ran into when she was just a young she-wolf befriended,help save her and help a lost pup.Aleu's first friends in the wild.She ran towards the calls,before finding the white wolf,Tsuji laying bloody on the ground and a lone she wolf black and blue eyed with white paws.Raising her tail she growled."Did you do this."She asked showing some ferocity.But noticed there were bear claws in graved in her own pelt as well.Must have been a bear..She thought going to the nearest tree and scraped bark off of it and got some of her sap from some leaves and trees.She nudged it forward to the she-wolf and Tsuji.

Jasmine was somewhat suprized she saw a wolf jus barge in and take tree sap and put on our wounds. "Thanks." Jasmine said to the wolfess. She nudged Tsuji. "Are you ok?" She asked. "Who are you?" Jasmine asked the wolfess. Jasmine waited for a responce as she protected her traveling partner.

Electra was walking through the forest when she heard a commotion. Heading towards the noise, she could hear wolves battling something. She sniffed the air. The realization of what it was hit her like a stone. Bear! Electra was running now, her paws barely touching the ground. She came through the bushes, the scent of blood strong in her nostrils. She saw Jasmine and two other wolves she did not know. She took one look at the bloodied form of the white furred brute, whose wounds the other fae putting tree sap on. What happened here? Electra asked Jasmine. Before Jasmine could answer, Electra turned to the stranger wolf saying, Who are you, and why are you on my territory?

Noticing the young she-wolf,pausing Aleu sat down."My name is Aleu.No need to get fussy.I am an ally."She said.

Jasmine was talking to the other wolfess until Electra came. "Electra!" Jasmine yelled. "What happened here?" Electra asked. Jasmine opened her mouth to speak but Electra cut her off. "Who are you, and what are you doing on my territory?" Electra asked the wolfess. "My name is Aleu. No need to get fussy. I am an ally." She said. Jasmine was trying to speak but the two, Aleu and Electra, were talking. I turned my attention to Tsuji. "Tsuji get up." Jasmine said.

The female Electra was adressing sat down, replying, "My name is Aleu. No need to get fussy. I am an ally.
"I'm Electra. Pleased to meet you." Electra said, nodding curtly. Electra heard Jasmine say "Tsuji get up."
Electra turned to where Jasmine was standing. She was hunched over the brute that was on the ground. "What happened to him? Did the bear get him?" she asked Jasmine again with a gentle tone, looking at the brute sympatheticly.

"What happened to him? Did the bear get him?" Electra asked Jasmine. Jasmine turned around. "Yes. Actually, the bear attacked because it was protecting bear cubs." Jasmine answered.

Aleu paused for a minute.She watched as the wolf Jasmine and Electra looked at Tsuji."How did it happen?"

"How did it happen?" Aleu asked. "A grizzly got me and Tsuji. It attacked because it was protecting bear cubs." Jasmine repeated.
