A Journey Home

"Good. Follow me then." he says moving to cross over to the river, his legs picking up speed as they padded against the hard ground. Almost to a gallop when he reaches the edge he leaps off, his legs peddling in the air ready for the strong current of the river as he plopped in dunking down beneath the water. It takes him a few minutes to resurface, but as soon as his head had broken the crest of the water he took in a deep breath and his head pushes forward through the cold water. It was colder then he had remembered and it dawned on him that after the next few weeks of winter it wouldn't be wise to do such a thing anymore as he could catch his death.

Goldey padded in the water following Kihyah she resurfaced and smiles wondering where they willl go next

The silver gray brute continued forward heading across a small field that was already starting to hold the snow on the ground. Kihyah lifts his paw pads looking almost like he was marching in time as the snow started to chill him from having to walk across it, Ugh winter...he thought to himself, he hated the cold he had been hoping that they had escaped it him and his mate with how far south they had traveled but it seemed not. Soon they reached the base of the large hill where he started up, staring at the out cropping of rocks that held their cache of meat he noticed a coyote digging out some and he charged forward snarling at the beast that looked to be a smaller version of himself. Foxes he put up with because they kept pests away from his pups, coyotes though were a bad sign they would actually try to go after the brood of pups if he didn't stand his ground now. Plus they would quickly destroy their reserves of meat, the wild dog turns and snarls at Kihyah who stops dead in his tracks having thought he would scare the thing off. He slowly starts to circle the creature as it mimics the motion he snorts shaking his head disapprovingly at the thing.

Goldey follows the brute the snow crumbles under her paws as she steps seeing kihyah in liite fight with a coyote she backs up little not getting into the fight at all when Kihyah needs help she will help him
