Wandering Arrival

Blair hesitantly padded over to Sebastian once again. When she reached him, she sat in front of him, her light blue gaze locked on his eyes. Her eyes were innocent and slightly playful as she looked at the brute in front of her. Many would have called her beautiful at that moment, one of the few moments she'd ever looked innocent.

Sebastian twitched an ear once more before he flattened them, not breaking away from the gaze between he and Blair. Giving a slight tilt of his head, he observed her for a momet, grey eyes narrowed.

Blair's held tilted in confusion as Sebastian observed her. Why was he staring at her? Was there something wrong? Or was he just looking her over, analyzing? But analyzing for what?

She shook her neck and head to snap herself out of asking so many questions. It was getting annoying, even to herself.

Sebastian quickly looked away after a moment, his eyes narrowed. With a light huffing noise, he straightened up, seeming rather unsure of himself. Flicking his tail slightly, he debated on whether to simply walk off, finding the tension in the air awkward enough.

Blair looked down. "You can go if you really want. It's your choice, your life." she told him, even though she didn't want him to leave. But she would understand and be strong if he did.

"I'm not going anywhere." A flicker of annoyance momentarily flashed in the brute's gaze; just slightly, followed by a faint flicker of uncertainty, surprisingly. He shifted positions a bit, flattening his ears.

Blair nodded. "Your choice," she stated again. Then, he turned around and trotted back to her rock. When she reached it, she climbed to the top quickly and looked back at Sebastian. She motioned for him to come over if he wanted to.

Sebastian scowled lightly, then gave the slightest shrug. He silently shuffled over, or rather, slunk over, although he allowed his fur to lie flat. He padded quietly around the rock, giving the air a few cautious sniffs, before crouching, then leaping up beside Blair. It was odd to be this close to another wolf for Sebastian, especially when they weren't at eachothers throats in an all-out fight. Sebastian, ears flattened, slightly glanced absentmindedly aside.

Blair watched as Sebastian circled the rock, giving a few sniffs as if she hadn't done that already. She rolled her eyes, though she knew that if she were in his position, she would've done the same thing. As he hopped onto the rock, a weird feeling came over her. Her heart skipped a beat in happiness, but her hackles rose the slightest bit. It was like her caution and nerves came back to hit her full force. Her mind screamed at her about why she let her guard down in the first place and let emotions take her over. Her lips twitched, wanting to pull back and show her teeth, but Blair fought against the animalistic instinct and laid quietly. She couldn't flatten her fur quite yet though.

For a split second, the thought of simply attacking Blair and taking off crossing Sebastian's mind. Yet, for some reason, the brute managed to ignore that urge, that instinct to kill. It was rare when Sebastian's guard was lowered, when he exposed himself in the oddest ways possible to any wolf, telling his real name, for once sitting...almost c[i]almly[i], next to another wolf. Naturally, Sebastian couldn't help but feel even the slightest bit uncomfortable; but he definetly wasn't nervous. No, he was far from it; Sebastian was quite ready to tear out Blair's throat if he needed to, or simply get up and leave. Ears flattened, Sebastian kept his gaze away, not seeming to want any contact.

Blair stood up, not glancing at Sebastian as she kept her gaze locked on the large expanse of land in front of her. "I'm going to go hunt. You can follow, stay here, or you can leave. Your choice," she said with no emotion in her voice. She slowly walked down the steep rock, her loin flexing to keep her steady. One back paw slipped, but she quickly regained her footing and hopped off onto the dry grass. She did not even glance back at the brute as she walked away, a slight swing to her hips. She raised her nose into the air, sniffing for any nearby scents. There was one a little while away, but not too far.
To be honest with herself, she was hunting s a distraction. This mysterious Sebastian had become her new addiction, and she needed some rehab in order to stay independent. She didn't want to find herself leaning on another wolf when she could easily handle herself.
