Storm approaching

She smelt the air, eyes closed as she inhaled. It was fresh, fragrant. Home. Or as near as she could ever get. It reminded her of the den from her youth and she felt a puppyish thrill take over her as she clambered over the rocks, exploring the territory. She could smell other wolves had been here. How recent, she couldn't tell, the scents were too intermixed. She decided to risk it. She had been travelling a long time and needed a rest. She went to the water, drank deeply and then lay down in the grass, eyes closed.

kabo was wandering around sniffing the ground. it had been a few days since he had eaten last and he was hunting for a rabbit, or if he got lucky, a deer. he could smell all the wolves that had been here for the last week, but no prey yet.

his head snaped up, as he smelled another wolf, the scent, quite fresh. courious he crept over to the wolf, trying to be quiet. but then he saw a rabbit and forgot the wolf. pouncing he caught, and quickly ate it. looking around, he relized he had put himself in full view of the wolf, and also left himself vunerable.

dang he was stupid.

well time for more stupidity. "hello!" he called. if she hadent noticed him yet she had now "i'm kabo!" he hoped she didnt attack.

Storm was startled by the sudden arrival of another wolf and she retreated from him as he introduced himself. He seemed friendly but she'd been fooled before.
"I'm Storm" she pawed the ground nervously

kabo saw how nervous she was of him. kabo wanted to try to fix that. he was kinda confused how though. then his slow mind got an idea. "i wont attack, if you dont." he said smiling at her. -not that she would stand a chance- he added to himself. he was stronger than most wolves.

he lay down and watched her, totaly relaxed, now that he had eaten.

[btw i always color code my wolves so i can keep them straight. if it is hard to read tell me and i will use another color]

(it's fine) She eyed him warily, then took a few steps forward, stopping a few paces from him.

"me too" he said wagging his tail. "i cant stay in one place for long."

She whines and nudges him lightly "Everyone needs a home"

"yes but i can't seem to settle down. i am to restless" he said to her

"My pack was killed and i haven't found anywhere to live yet"

his sharp ears picked up what he thought was a deer. he raced off and took it down easily. he dragged it back to her. "hungry?" he asked.

"Starving. you sure you don't mind sharing?" she licked her lips.

Storm immediately began to dig in, tearing into the flesh of the deer.

kabob finished his share and lay at the base of a tree.

Storm yawned, licked her lips and lay beside him

Storm found herself relaxed by the presence of another wolf. she'd been alone far too long.

Storm nuzzled him softly and closed her eyes.

Storm lay sleeping peacefully for a few hours.

kabob woke up, lazily rolling over on his back, stretching.
