Land of Mists

Soryu lowered his head and narrowed his icy eyes to slits. They immediately went to the collar around his neck that beeped with a red light. It began to chew his legs, and he raised his head. "Nothings wrong with him, but that thing around his head drove him crazy with that," he pinned his ears to his head as the ringing continued in his ears. "Incessant pinging." He said with an irritated growl. He glanced at Ross, then at the white wolf. "Let's take care of this before continued your little melee." He muttered in a exasperated tone. His tired eyes went to the insane wolf again, trying to access the situation.

Scar's eyes returned to normal as the tracker turned off. "W- Who are y-you?" he asked in a shakey voice. His gruff accent seemed barley audible. He walked towards Soryu then looked at Fang. "Hmm." he whimpered.

Fang looked from wolf to wolf trying to make sense of the situation, his gaze turned to the collar. "What is that thing? Some sort of Human trinket?"

Fang was taken aback by the strange wolf's behavior, "What do you two think? Put him out of his misery or no?" He asked the others.

OOC: Anyone up for a human plot? XD

The black wolf stepped forward and stared at the pleading eyes that seemed to have cracked. "...Misery? It's those humans trying to study us." He muttered under his breath, not to anyone in particular. His ears were still lowered slightly from the pinging sound that came from the heavyset collar around the wolf's neck. 'I've seen one of these before, but the female that had it on ran off in a flurry before I could get a good look at it.' He thought with an irritated snort. Stepping forward, but not very close, the brute sniffed at the pale ring. The red light was synchronized with the sound that had already echoed in his mind without stop. Grunting, Soryu jumped back again. "Any ideas on how to get it off?"

"Yeah, rip his throat and see if that works." Fang grunted.

OOC: I'm up for it.

Scar looked from Soryu to Fang. His eyes became normal. If we're talking of this tracker, and the chain... I don't really know. Scar thought. "C- c'mon scar, just stay focused for at least ten minutes." he muttered. "Please, help me anyway you can." he pleaded. Scar nodded. I'm not that lost. He thought.

OOC: Ok then

Soryu blinked at the wolf, barely hiding his surprise. 'So he's still holding on to that small part of him that still sane.' His ears pricked as the beeping stopped, but the red light continued to blink on and off on the collar. "Well see what we can do, Scar." The black wolf had caught the mutters from under his breath, but only snatches. However, Scar seemed fitting of the half-insane wolf.

Akira glanced around in the misty forest. 'Send the rookie into the places no one else wants to go...' He thought with an inward groan. He hefted his small backpack and continued to trek through the mist. Frowning as the vapor made his hair stick up. "Thank you humidity, I always wanted to be the Lion King." He muttered with obvious sarcasm. The small joke brought back a smile on his face.
The brown haired college graduate carried a long metal rod with protruding branches in one hand, and a remote connected to it in another. Beeping sounds that contained static echoed from it. 'Almost there Akira. Then you can go home and eat something.' Stalking forward as quietly as possible, his gray eyes spotted four pelts. He almost walked backwards from the surprise, but he held his ground with creased eyebrows. 'Four wolves? Ah, I should've made one of them come with me. 6743 needs to be captured. That collar has years of data on it!' Despite his own inward urgings, the man stayed stock still.

Akira was panicking inside, but his jumbled thoughts kept him from working normally. 6743 had already scented him and was looking for him in the brush. 'Aw, crap. Why did god give animals the superior senses?!' He thought backing up a step. A twig gave way with a crack, and the brown haired boy froze again.

Soryu lifted his head and pricked his ears. Scar's attention was diverted away from them, and the sudden snap of a stick. The scent was blowing in favor of them, and the black wolf identified it as a male human. Younger than the others he had met, but still human. He stifled a wary growl and stepped towards the human.

Ross leapt out of the tree and sat. She looked at the wolves and her muscles tensed.

Fang sat back and watched, hmm He thought to himself, "This should be interesting."

Soryu swished his long black tail as Scar discovered the human. He raised an eyebrow at the less than sane words being spouted from the wolf's mouth. He stared at the collar in exasperation. 'This is such a pain in the rump.' He gritted his teeth together, trying to access the situation once again. 'Ok, now I see why I had a feeling I would regret meeting that stupid white wolf with a fighting fetish.' He thought with a frustrated snort.

The brown haired man pulled back from the jaws that snapped at him, and instead of sinking into his arms, they snapped the bar used to locate other wolves. 'Hey! That was expensive!' The danger snapped his thoughts into focus. Putting his hand behind his back and pulling out his dart rifle, he aimed it at the collared wolf. Adrenaline made his hands shaky, so he shot the wolf in the forehead instead of the aimed shoulder.

OOC: Note, usually darts do not draw blood. They are like a tiny pick when you poke yourself with a small pin. :D

The human was practically shaking, but he quickly dispatched the collared wolf with another of one of those loud-sticks. The black wolf reacted quickly and tactfully, the sight of the dangerous contraption made him leapt, but he didn't realized it was just a dart gun. Not that wolves knew anything about it. He barreled into the young man, and quickly rolled to his paws. Without a growl, he gripped hold of the weapon and tried to tear it away from the human's iron grip. His cyan eyes remained quiet and calm, and no sounds emanated from his throat as he struggled for a hold on the slippery metal casing.

Akira stared at the drop of blood forming on the thin fur of the wolf's forehead. It growled lowly, but it collapsed before it could do anything else. His head had frozen in place, and in a whirl he was on the ground wrestling with the black wolf. He held the gun parallel to his body to protect himself.

OOC: oopsy

Scar shook his head warily to clear his thoughts. He moaned as he hauled himself off the ground. Scar then saw that the man was on the ground. He smirked and leaped forward jumping onto him. He placed a paw on his weapon. "Mine." he growled, grabbing the gun firmly in his jaws. He pulled at the gun and shook furiously. His eyes looked straight into the man's. Thank you for giving me steroids. He thought, while ripping the gun out from the man's grip.

Fang watched from a short distance. "I could kill them" He thought, "With the both of them distracted by that pesky human i could kill them with ease."

Ross slowly swished her tail, the brush shaking as her tail touched it. "Seems interesting." She thought.

OOC: Not steroids, dart gun. Makes things faint and go unconscious. Doing the dramatic fall with their hand on their forehead, and all. XD

Akira narrowed his eyes and shifted his brain back in gear. Pulling hard on one side, he bucked it back onto the black wolf' muzzle. He crawled to his feet, but the collared wolf tackled him to the ground again, but released his grip after a few seconds. 'What the...?' He rolled to the side and jumped to his feet again. He held the wolves within gun point, and placed his finger on the trigger.

Soryu felt his head reel as he fell onto his side. The breath had been knocked out of him, and it took a few seconds for him to recover. He tried to gulp in air to uncooperative lungs, and he finally sat up coughing. He turned to stare at the human who had pointed the gun at him again. He flattened his ears to his head, but stayed silent.
