Rue

Rue had set down Coal a while earlier. They had caught a plump rabbit earlier. They had been fed,but they always asked when they'd get there. They're paws ached,and so did her's,but she carried her pups when their whining came loudest. She finally collapsed underneath a green tree. She sighed as the cool shade relaxed her. She felt the aches relax,but they still stung quite a bit she glanced around with one eye open,and the other closed. She sighed and spoke to her pups when she closed her eyes. "Let's rest for a bit,dears." She was a bit surprised at herself from saying that word,but she just rolled onto her side. Smiling at the breeze that combed through her silver fur.

Coal

Coal whimpered now and then for their mother to carry them. He was usually in high spirits,but even that trip sucked out of your energy. He sighed and leaned intones mother's belly when they aid they could rest. He took a deep breath and sighed. He smiled at his siblings. "Come on guys!" He settled down and yawned.

Start trudged along, she tried not to complain to much but at time her paws ached to much to stay quiet, she had flopped over beside coal with a sigh of relief and closed her eyes.

Kilo leaned on a nearby tree as his eyelids droops, he fought to keep them open but soon passed out against the tree, snoring softly.

Rue

Rue took a deep breath and lulled herself to sleep once her pup's breathing evened out. Kilo even had such rough breathing,he started to snore. She chuckled quietly to herself and yawned. She thought of Kupa,oddly enough. I'm scared of him right now. Me having his pups and all. She sighed inwardly and retreated to sleep. Though it was a bit rough.and she twitched a little sometimes.

Coal

Coal yawned and peered at his siblings,before his lips slid down. Without another word,his breathing became a loud snore. His dreams were full os rock monsters,and him taking them down. He smiled unconscientiously as it gave him joy to dream.

Star fell asleep to the sound of her brothers snores.

Kilo twitched a paw in his dream, running from some kind of dark monster he did not know of.

Kupa's paws were silent on the ground, he sniffed silently then sat by a lake and took a drink before turning and slowly creeping away in search of food.

Rue twitched and yawned. She cracked her neck and licked her muzzle. She blinked her silver tinged violet eyes. She gently moved the pups off of her,so she could strech out. She arched her back and rolled her shoulders. She took a deep breath and sighed. It was getting dark,and she needed to get food for the pups. She frowned and started off,not too far from everyone else.

Kupa sniffed the air, soon sitting back on his paws silently and letting his eyes scan his surrounding area before he felt the wind ruffle his fur and seem to howl in his ears, with a soft smile, Kupa lifted his muzzle and vocalized, a deep howl coming from his throat and ridding the wind to deliver his sad yet calm howl.

Rue

Rue's ears perked up at as the wind picked up. The whistle in her ear made her twitch in every direction in search for food. Then a loud howl pierced the night. Of course it didn't sound familiar. She hadn't seen Kupa for months,yet his presence still lingered in her mind. She muttered a curse for remembering a thought of him.
Her flash back didn't last long though. Her urge to howl back over came her own control. She sat down and lifted her muzzle to the sky. She took a deep breath of the cool evening air,and howled a sweet tune in the air.

Kupa flicked his ears as the responding howl, he tilted his head on confusion, he had not been expecting a reply, so he lifted his head again and howled telling the other wolf where he was at, near a lake around east of where the other wolf was at.

Rue took a deep breath and sighed. She cleared her throat and cursed herself for replying. He called back and told her where he was. I'm not stepping into another male's trap. She crouched down and started stalking around. She caught the scent of an older deer. It's footsteps were a bit quaky. She sped up and stopped when she spotted it by the lake. Another wolf was there,but he was concealed by darkness,so she didn't spot him. Rue narrowed her silver tinged violet eyes and shot forward. The elk turned,but it wasn't fast enough. It flowed and she landed on its back. It bucked weakly,and she wrapped her arms around its neck and she bit into its neck.[/center]

Kupa turned quickly as an elk that had been close by was pounced on by another wolf, he stared silently then bunched his mussels, with a snarl he bolted forward, sinking his teeth deep into the elks back leg and tugged violently.

Rue heard the elk bellow loudly. She growled and bit down harder. She tasted the meatalic blood that flooded her mouth. She heard a crunch,and she released her grip. She leapt off and skidded down as a dull thud sounded in front of her. Rue took a dee breath and licked her maw. She spotted eyes in the darkness. She narrowed her eyes and slunk around behind him. She barred her teeth and snarled. Then pounces to try and pin down the stranger

Kupa watched the other wolf, his hazel eyes watching her, the flecks of sky blue standing out in the darkness around him, he rolls quickly, using her own momentum to pin her and curl his lips with a snarl, but his snarl cut off as he felt her knew her, she was some how familiar, the dark making it harder to recognize her.

Rue gasped when she found she was on the ground instead. Rue stared up at the blue flecked eyes. Her own silver tinged violet eyes narrowed. "Who?" The male's warm breath blew past her fur. She growled again. "Who are you...?" Her back was still on the pebbles. The dark sky made it hard to see his face. The moon glinted off the water,and he caught a glimpse of white fur.

Kupas black fur ruffled in the wind as he stared at the other wolf a glimpse of white fur had him cock his head at the wolf "My name is Kupa, who are you" he narrowed his eyes and waited silently.

Rue glared at the wolf,but when he mentioned his name she stared at his with wide violet eyes. "K-K-Kupa...?" She then gritted her teeth and growled. "What are you doing here?!" She pushed onto Kupa for him to get off of her. She rolled over and stared at the wolf. Barring her white teeth. The clouds moved away from the moon,and her silver fur was exposed to the silvery light. "It's me,Rue." She composed herself and snorted at him.

Kupa perked his ears when she had pushed him off as if she new him, his eyes went wide when she mentioned her name, immediately his eyes grew soft and sad, almost like he wanted to go to her, he sat down and hung his head sadly "I am sorry Rue, For what ever reason i have made you to hate me so much" his tail curled around his paws.

Rue sat down and stared at her paws at his response. His sad tone made her stomach twist into a knot. "Stop making me feel guilty..." She wasn't the bad guy. Was she? She had his pups and now...Those three pups were all she had left. She stayed silent. Her tears threatening to fall.

Kupa lifted his head and sniffed the air, soon returning his sad gaze onto the fai again, he stepped on his own paws, fighting the urge to move to her side, knowing she would not take him back even if he crawled to the ground and cried. His ears went flat as he gazed steadily at her "Rue, if I may ask....Why do you hate me?" his tail drooped between his legs as he waited, unsure if he wanted the answer after all.

Rue flattened her ears to her head. "I..." She sighed and stood up. "It'd be easier to show you." She took care not to look at Kupa,and headed to the elk. She started dragging it back to the pups.

Rue quickly brought the old elk back. The pups were under a tree surrounded by brambles,mostly so no predators could come by. She dropped the prey and took a deep breath and sighed. She gingerly pushed away a part of the brush. Showing Kupa the still sleeping pups.

Kupa paused when he saw the pups, his eyes going wide as he looked to Rue then the pups "are they....yours?" he was hesitant, the idea of them being his pups put pride to his heart, but his head argued saying he had not mated with her, how could three healthy pups such as them, belong to him?

Rue sat down and sighed. She stared at her paws,still not looking Kupa in the face. Her tongue felt too big in her mouth,and the words just stuck in her throat. She swallowed hard,but all she could manage was a simple and curt nod. ...What'll happen now...? Thought and ideas of the future tumbled through her mind. She squeezed her eyes shut.

Lifting his head, Kupa took a deep breath as he searched for a male wolf that could be the father, but there were no other scents, only his and Rue's, so he sat down and faced her with his tail curled over his paws "who is their father" his eyes took on a cold distant look, shutting out all emotions from his eyes.

Rue blinked and then cleared her throat. She cursed in her head and tried to speak without a quaky voice. "Their...yours." Rue was impressed at herself for not stammering,but more was still ahead. More questions and more answers. She sighed inwardly.
