Midnight laughed as well. The barn owl turned to face Jasmine. It hooted. Midnight looked at the owl. It's big amber eyes stared back at him. "I guess so." he said, walking forward.

" Onward and upward my friend!" Jasmine said happily as they took off.

Midnight followed her. The owl hovered over his head. He stopped and saw a wall of slowly gliding lunar moths. The owl came to rest on Midnight's shoulder once again. Midnight smiled and walked into the cloud of moths. The owl caught snatches of a few and swallowed them.

Jasmine started to look in the rooms they hadn't explored yet. "I think I'm getting jealous of the owl, he gets to sit on your shoulder." she said laughing. The owl turned and looked at her.

"Don't be. I wouldn't be able to carry you on my shoulder." he said laughing. The owl looked at him, then back at Jasmine. It hooted and glided over to rest on Jasmine's shoulder. "Well, he likes you too." Midnight said laughing. "Must be enchanted by your ravishing eyes." he said. He smiled. The owl hooted and came to rest on Midnight shoulder.

Jasmine laughed. " Apparently not as attracted to me as he is attracted to you!" Jasmine said laughing. "He can look into our soul and expose your secrets!" Jasmine said in a Dracula voice.

Midnight laughed. The owl seemed to join in and chuffed. "Too bad he can't just talk to us and understand our language." Midnight said. The owl puffed up it's feathers. "Never mind." he laughed. The owl chuffed. It hovered above the two, leading them to a secret hall. Statues of Fenrir stood, in a growling position. All of his statues were tied by chains and the chains were attached to a big wheel in the center. The owl alighted on the head of one of the statues. "Whoa." was all Midnight could say.

Jasmine stood there with her mouth open. "I have no words." Was all she could get out of her mouth. WOWWEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! Jasmine thought because she couldn't get the words out of her mouth.

Midnight nodded. He walked around and examined the statues. He had gotten over the awe and was now able to speak. "Those vikings put a lot of detail in the work." he said. The owl nodded. "Oh yes, they do." he said, quite unexpectantly. Midnight looked at the owl.

"Did you just talk?" Jasmine asked the owl.

The owl nodded and came down hovering above the floor. "Oh, yes every animal talks. My name is Carson." he said. He looked at Midnight. "I wanted to welcome you to the temple. I've been so lonely." he said. Midnight nodded. "Midnight's my name." He said. Carson nodded. "Ya'll two are very lucky to live here." said the owl.

The owl nodded and smiled. "I'm going to hunt." He said. With that he flew out of the temple. Midnight came over to Jasmine. "Must've been taking wolf language classes." he said. He laughed.

Midnight shook his head. "This really is a nice room, you know, besides the depressing snarling of theses statues." he said, looking at every face of Fenrir.

"Yeah." Jasmine said also looking at the faces. "Are you ready to explore another room?" Jasmine asked snapping out of the trance the statues put her into.

"Most certantly." he said. He walked back into the hall. He rounded a bend, then waited for Jasmine.

Jasmine trotted after him. "Where to?" Jasmine asked. Just as she asked, she felt something crawling on her head. "I think there's a spider on my head." She said through a clenched jaw.

Midnight looked at her. He swiped it off. "It was a turantula." he said. He shrugged and kept walking.

Midnight laughed. "Your welcome." he replied. He then saw another room. He smiled and bounded into it. A huge circle made of gold was imprinted on the ground. Around him were dusty shelves filled with old scrolls.

" Hey, wait for me!" Jasmine said as she bounded in after him. "Whoa! This [place is awesome!" She said with amazement.

Midnight nodded. "yep and you can thank the vikings of Norway." he said. He walked around, viewing the scroll on the floor. It had unfamiliar writing. something like this

Dear brother,
This valley of mist surely has ghosts haunting it.
We will settle here in this newly built palace.
Beautiful places are still yet to be found.
Somewhere with gold and silver.
I will see you again brother.
