Hunting in mist

Midnight woke up to a deafening ringing outside. He stumbled up and made his way to the main entrance.

Flashes of light struck spirits with a strange sensation of burning. It made Spirits yelp. The light guided together into a delightful view of a white wolf. He was glowing honey gold. "Go back to your wastelands. You aren't allowed in here! Go and leave them alone, or suffer my wrath Brother!" He howled. It was Canus, the highest wolf spirit. He stepped forward, shielding Jasmine and Midnight, whom was suffering with the ringing as well.

OOC: the ringing was only in Jasmine's head!

"Fine, you win this time brother. But I will get the girl. And then you won't be able to stop me!" The wolf said as he vanished. Jasmine still lay there with pain.

Canus growled, but his light dispersed into small glows. Midnight stepped outside. "Are you OK?" he asked. He helped her up, once again, and led her back inside. "We need to bury the shell, and the jewels." he whispered to her. He just couldn't believe Spirits had came in broad day light.

"Yeah. Why do I always get hurt?" Jasmine asked wearily.

"Weird right?" He said. He grabbed the shell and guided her back to the dirt room. He dug a hole in the corner. A deep, yet shallow hole. He set the shell and jewels down. "Would you do the honors?" he asked in a Scottish accent. He laughed, trying to be cheery.

OOC:Canus's brother is named Spirits.

"Aye, nice change, lad." She said also in Scottish accent. She buried the shell and walked into the main room.

Midnight laughed and followed her. "Well, not that there's a peril after us, what do you want to do?" he ashed, wagging his tail. He sat down and yawned in a bored way.

Jasmine sat down. "Honestly, I don't know." She said thoughtfully. "What do you want to do?" She asked.

Midnight scratched his ear and sighed. "I don't know." he said, shrugging his shoulders.

Jasmine sighed. She was so stressed she couldn't think straight. She put her paws over her head and whimpered.

Midnight looked sadly at her. He went to her and licked her cheek. "Hey, it'll be alright. Canus and Fenrir are on our side." he said soothingly. He put his paw on her shoulder. "And, we'll protect each other." he said, cocking his head and smiling.

Jasmine lifted up her head and licked Midnight's cheek. "I know. I'm just all messed up from this nutty stuff." She said sitting up.

Midnight stood up too. "Well, if it helps, I am as well." he said with a soft chuckle.

Jasmine wagged her tail. "Now I feel like doing something. Let's make something! Or whatever you want to do." She said happily.

Midnight laughed. "Sure, we can make something... what do you have in mind?" he asked. He smiled, then sat down again.

Midnight nodded and stood up again. He licked his lips in concentration. His eyes brightened. "How 'bout you teach me how to make baskets?" he asked, sitting down again with a smile.

Jasmine jumped up excitedly. "Great idea!" She said running outside. "Do you have any willow trees?" She asked excitedly.

"Certainly." he said. He remembered he hadn't shown them to her. He led through a small mist filled 'canyon.' It was more like a large crack in the stone that a wolf could fit in. It widened and revealed a pond with mist gliding over it. A willow tree sat right in front of them, leaves waving slowly through the wind.

Jasmine walked over. She saw there were so many branches. "Ok, you need 4 branches." She said as she took off her own four.

Midnight took off four branches. He walked over to her. "Now what?" He couldn't believe he hadn't shown her this sooner. Had he forgotten about this place? She had just mentioned 'willow trees' so he had remembered, a-ha, Willow tree lake!

Jasmine smiled. "Now we must bring them home!" She said in a Thor voice as she trotted back.
