The Cliff of the Moon

Cearus closed his eyes and snorted with his black nose. "Was bored. Had to move alittle. Checking the place out and such. Nothing interesting." His answer was and he sighed heavily, making some old dust fly over the rock and down into the water.

Jasmine didn't answer but did a slight nod and she pressed her body onto his for warmth. "Night, then."

He arched an brow as Jasmine cuddled tightly against his warm fur and snorted lightly - Clearly not understanding why she kept trying to win his feelings, or atleast it was what he though she tried. Sure, others have fallen for me, true. He though with a snicker before placing his head on hers, to share his warmth.

The Next Morning..

Jasmine got up slowly and she trudged down the rocks slowly and boldly. She sniffed the ground for prey, and when she caught the scent of a duck, she just went berserk. She followed the tracks quickly and she spotted the tiny quacking duck, nibbling on rubbish. She lowered herself to the ground and she bounded to the duck and it screamed and tried to flap away. Jasmine was too quicky, however. She, suprizingly, didn't feel hungry today. She padded up the rocks again and set down the duck, just like Cearus had done to her before. She padded down the rocks and sat down, watching the sunrise at the water. She wondered if.. Cearus was trying to avoid her. Had he had enough of her? She twisted her head to look at Cearus sleeping then she turned her head back to the crashing waves. Guess so.. why else would he have went out last night? Snorted and snickered when I was trying to get warmth? Jasmine pulled back her ears and let out a soft whimper and she laid onto the ground and watched a crab waddle by.

Cearus sneezes and raised her head up and rubbed his nose with a paw. Getting up and shook his fur. Peering down at the water where the soft whimpering Jasmine lied and raised an brow. What in the world is she doing? He wondered and shrugs, appearently taking her gesture as a sign and started to trott down the cliff silently and into the bushes, sleeking inbetween it elegantly.

Jasmine heard a sneeze but she ignored it. She sniffed the crab as it turned and pinched her nose. She sat up and shook her head quickly and it fell into the water and it dug into the sand. Sand crab.. She scooted closer to the water so it soaked up her paws. She dipped her nose in the water then she walked closer into it. Jasmine stood up in slow movements, scanning the area, she saw it was safe enough where no crabs would get her, and no sharks would either. She pounced into the water when she saw a tiny thing swim by. She shook some droplets off and she lapped up the water.

Cearus didn't come back soonly, hour after hour he was gone somewhere..

A spot in a field by the forest Cearus had spotted an Elk and its heard of a several females and two calves. He was hungering for blood, he haven't hunt for real and mercyless for days after being with Jasmine, which have made him very restless. He didn't like waiting and didn't do well to wait enough at times of his eager for blood - But it never effected his kills by his brute strenght instead. After many many hours while the sun raised for the next day, he was dragging the heavy Elk back toward the beach till he arrived and lied down, ripping its flesh to feel the warm, sweet blood on his tongue. It was worth the hunt. He though with a light smirk and licked his bloody lips. He glanced to the water where he spotted Jasmine and shrugged. She would come when she was hungry.

But Jasmine didn't come. She stared at her reflection for a long time. She smelt elk wafting into her nose but.. She turned and saw Cearus. She hadn't remembered how long she had been looking into the water! Probably hours. She felt a little hungry so she just walked cooly over to Cearus and the elk. Must've been long since solo elk hunts, you need to concentrate harder. She just took one bite and that was all. "Thanks.." She answered low.

Cearus watched jasmine finally come over and start to eat, while she mumbled thanks to him. He nodded in responde, but not too mcuh attention as he chewed at the carcass of the Elk. Soon enough being pleased with a full belly and new energy and strenght. He trotted down to the water and lapped up some due of his thirst after the long hunt.

Jasmine looked up and saw a few sea gulls going to scavenge the leftovers of the elk. Ugh, take it! She padded down the cliff after Cearus and she sat a few feet away from him.

Cearus kept lapping up water to falther his thirsth with the cooling water. Soon enough lifting his head up and lick his lips. He started to stretch and then slumped down with a thud as always on the rock, closing his eyes to rest.

Jasmine peered at him then the water. She picked up a rock in her mouth and tossed it at the water. It bounced over it and then stared to slow down and skim the water. She watched it stop and then sink. Jasmine sighed and leaped into the water. She dipped her head into the water and then bringing it back up with trout. She tossed it ashore and when it was dead, she snapped it's head and gulped it down. She left the body since the bones were sharp. The head, however had none. She had remembered how to eat trout. Out of nowhere. Jasmine lapped up the water then looked at the sky. She took in a breath of misty air and then blew it out in a long howl. She ended her howl with a growl and then looked down at her paws.

Cearus slowly lift his head to watch Jsmine fish and soon enough howl. He shivered by a wind coming by, he wasn't sure if he do join into the song or not. He did feel sorrow and the tingling feeling crawled up his stomach, into his throat and soon out as he raised his head and howling out along with Jasmine till she stopped. He shook his fur, it was time to go. He had stayed too long. None would come here. None owned this place. He couldn't get what he wanted and he was still restless after such calm times.

He trotted over to Jasmine and gave her a lick before taking off with his paws, his legs gave him a good start, but he would become tired in less then an hour. He knew that. He passed throught the bushes and vanished..

Jasmine felt a warm lick on her cheek. She turned quickly to see nothing was there. "Cearus?" She said, gazing around in wonder. She stood and sighed. She felt more hungry, now. She scampered up the cliff and saw there wasn't much remainings of elk. Jasmine pulled her ears back. That, and Cearus wasn't anywhere. "Cearus?" She called agian. H.. He'll be back. He's probably just.. just hunting or something.

After many minutes, Jasmine's heart pounded harder than ever. He's gone.. Jasmine just face it. She scolded herself. But.. I need to find him, probably? He might change his mind.. or or.. She stood up, turned and walked slowly into the bushes, unaware that she was going to meet a young wolf, like herself. Named Zaeli.
