He continues to give her his wind, then pressing on her chest to release it. He did this about five times before he stopped to check her chest to see if it was helping in the slightest or if her spirit had already passed on. His eyes were filling with tears as he watched and waited for any sign of life from her.

Star laid there limp her ears laying back her tail touching the ground her feet touching the soft water fead ground and her face one side covered as she fought but she couldn't find the strenght to move or wake up

Silenthawk saddened by no movement just lays down, unable to do anything more as he lays his head across her neck. He silently starts to cry, his entire body hurt and he wasn't sure he'd ever have the strength to move again. He lifts his head up only to howl at the moon, a mournful eerie tone that said how upset he was at himself for not going after her sooner. It was his fault she was...he didn't even want to think it, but it was his fault...she trusted him to guide her and teach her and he failed...miserably too.

Star heard his howl but couldn't do anything she was worn out and was about to give up but then she started fighting again her breath slowly started increasing as she began to live again then she moved her ear but even that hurt to move her body was sore and she couldn't move and she wished she would have never brought up that she knew this place then she might still live a bit longer she had to fight for SilentHawk

Silenthawk felt her ear brush against his nose and he raises his head to look at her, she was still fighting but it seemed like it was not of any use...she still didn't wake and her breathing was shallow. It sounded like when a deer was taking in its final breaths and it shook him so hard to his core that his whole body actually started to shiver as if he were cold.

Star still tried to fight even thought she would probably die she couldn't she had to live she was to young

Silenthawk just tried to make her comfortable, he gently licks down her fur wanting her to look her best for when she passed...it hurt even more and even though it felt like he didn't have any strength at all to do this he still did. He didn't want her to die, he wanted her to fight and live but her chances seemed grim all the same.

Star was still in the dark cold place that she was in many hours it seemed she laid wait for something to happen but all she did was fight she tried to breath and make her body walk or even move

Silenthawk felt her move just a little, " Star...don't try to move...just focus on your breathing, you just NEED to breathe." he says to her, she was to weak to move and if she pushed herself too hard she would definitely die. He felt selfish for trying to keep her alive but he hurt knowing that she could slip away at any moment so he just couldn't help himself.

Star stopped moving she just breathed and stayed still

Silenthawk stayed by her side to tend to her, lifting her head to lay it on his paws so that her neck didn't get sore from laying there too long. " Don't worry about food...I'll bring us anything we need when you've got some more strength to actually eat, until then you just worry about breathing and getting that strength back." he tells her quietly in her ear before he went about watching over her knowing that the threat of predators was going to be something he would have to be weary of everything since most would want to make an easy meal of her.

Star was in pain she could feel her body sore and her strength gone her body was sore and she could hear foxes in the bushes but she could wake up she was trapped

Silenthawk stayed by her side, the wind changed directions and he smelled the foxes getting close. He didn't move however because he knew if they started to get too close his best bet was to stay as close as possible to her then growl and chase them off with some barks rather then leave her for them to drag off while they distracted him. He was keen to the way scavenging animals tended to get to a kill and steal it away so he would just do what he always did, protect her.

Star could feel that her breathing was starting to really hurt she whined but still breathed

Silenthawk heard her whine, he knew he was being too selfish and had to let her go. " If it hurts...you can let go Star...I'll be okay." he lied but he didn't want her to be in any more pain, " You'll be okay too, I promise I'll pray for your spirit...I'll make sure that nothing eats you either, I promise that...and when you get to the place beyond the living you can look up my grandpa I'm sure he'd be willing to teach you where I left off." he says softly, a low whimper leaving him as he tried to hold back his tears.

Star held up to it she wasn't going to leave him she wanted to know about the trees and wind and everything else so she pushed to keep breathing after a while she was laying and she really was hungry but she kept breathing she couldn't think about eating after the first half an hour the breathing was easyer

Silenthawk saw her breathing start to become calmer and his heart leaped at the thought that she was getting better. Maybe she could make it out of this after all and maybe what she needed was him to be strong for her. " Just relax, you seem to be breathing better..." he says encouragingly, he turns as a fox dashes for her and he growls threateningly and it scurries out of the way.

Star breathed and relaxed soon she felt no pain but she still wasn't awake and she couldn't move her ear twitched but that was all

[Forgot to put this in the last post, it's up to you whether she lives or dies. I would rather see her live but if it's all part of the story then that's whats meant to be. In other words it's cool with me either way.]

Silenthawk wards off a few more foxes until they went back to just circling and watching, it reminded him oddly of a flock of vultures circling a carcass. Testing their boundaries and where they could go before he would bark at them to make them flee. Once they realized though that he wasn't going to chase them they started trying to push their boundaries further but then he snapped his jaws towards them and they got the hint that he wasn't going to give her up without one fierce fight so they backed off again.

Star opened her eyes she couldn't hear anything she moved because she felt water in her ears she moved more and she saw foxes getting closer and closer

Silenthawk didn't like the foxes getting that close, he finally stands on his paws and allows his fur to stand threateningly upright along his spine. His eyes dart from fox to fox as he growls low in his throat, stepping over her so that he stood just over top of her. One to his right made a dash at him before leaping for his neck, he ducks just as the fox was only mere inches away and moves forward towards another that had dared enter in the brawl. This fox had a little more luck as it latched onto Silent Hawks ankle and gnawed at it furiously trying to hinder him, only Silent hawk wasn't having it. His teeth latched down around the foxes scruff of its neck only to rip it off his leg to then fling his head to the side while letting go of the fox, it landed in some bushes and he turns to watch the others slowly starting to creep in. He knew they were about to gang up on him so he moved from her, only a foot away so he could still protect her but not hurt her further by needing the space to ward off the impending attack from the foxes.

Star saw that the moon was still high in the sky this was the time that foxes had the upper hand so she felt like getting up but when she tried to stand up she fell down then she tried again and forced herself to stay up but then she fell again she felt like she was a nuisance she stayed still hoping the wind would help her but she felt nothing she knew that these foxes would kill them there were just to many she knew that they attack one and drag the hurt one away

Silenthawk was quick to notice one going for her and he charged it to ram it full force and it flew just a few feet but landed in the water giving him enough time to turn to deal with the others. Three were on his back chewing away at his fur but he didn't pay them much mind, knowing he needed them to be more distracted with him then her. It didn't even cripple him slightly as he was such a big wolf that three small foxes on his back were nothing to him. Another lunged for her and he made a grab for its throat only to nail it's tail, he was getting slowed down not that there were two more at his back ankles. As he thrashed his head to throw the fox away from her he also bucked like a bronco being ridden in a rodeo, it threw two from his back and by stomping down with his back legs he freed them from the two who had clutched on. By this point he could smell his own blood and he snarls even fiercer as he hated when others brought it to this, he turns to rip the other from his back and when he threw it to the ground he snapped it's neck in one fatal movement from his head. Then he glared at the others who were making another rush for him, " You want blood then death is what you'll get." he growled menacingly before snapping his jaws down on a leaping foxes muzzle and it yelped pathetically as he slams it down too to snap it's neck as well, but this was slow and meticulous to kill each one he had just hoped to scare them off and now he had even more on his back and at his ankles as they were trying to distract him from her as three of them made to drag her off. " NO!!" he growls struggling to free himself so he could help her.

Star yelped but still was down she pulled her self up but then fell over she clawed her way over to him then she pulled herself up then laid down she had do do something so she turned around and hit one of the foxes that was getting closer to her's muzzle but that made it angry she clawed more but Silent was a long ways away and the foxes she just hit snarled it ran for her biting her leg she growled and bit its her clawing its head and biting and clawing it's eyes then it let her go and fled she saw the others getting closer "Silent just run, they'll kill you leave me" as she said it she knew that he would never leave her but he had to let go

Silenthawk knew she was right, he runs at a tree and slams his side into it smashing a few of them into its trunk. They yelped and let go as he heard a few of their ribs break, they were now limping off into the woods not wanting any part of the fight. It dawned on him that instead of killing them all he needed to do was injure them so they'd get the hint to get out of there. He now had enough movement to reach her, she had a fox trying to drag her away and he grabbed it in his powerful jaws to latch down hard then shake it about as it yelped for him to let go which he obliged. " I won't leave you Star." he struggled out as he turned to grab another off of him and then flops down to roll over top of all of them hoping that would free some of them from his frame.
