Slowly blinking his eyes open from a deep sleep he lets out a huh? as he starts focusing in on the world again. Then his mind caught up with him and he shook his head, let out a long yawn and stretched before responding to her. " Oh them? They won't bother us...probably looking to see if that kill is still around, the scent of blood is near where we lay and they like to clean up after what we leave but once they find nothing they should move on..." he says before letting his head flop back down onto his fore and closes his eyes not really wanting to get up yet but if she woke him again he'd be up for good, he was never much of a morning wolf when he was allowed to get deep sleep.

She fell asleep but she didn't dream it was just black when she woke up nothing had happened she got up and bit his ear and pulled "Wake up!" she wanted to start moving she wanted to see if she could find a place that was beautiful it was a water spot and the fire bugs would go there and preform the lighting dance she wanted to show him but it was a days trip away right where they were going to go to it they needed to move and now they could walk slow and take breaks but they would have to get threw a lot of bushes

When she finally woke him up with a nip to his ear, he yelps a little and pulls his ear free while slowly rising. " Alright alright I'm up, watch the ear." he says as he rose to his front fores while he sat and gave his left ear a good scratching as some waxy build up had made it all itchy on the inside. He sets his back foot down only to yawn, get up on all fours and stretch out his long body across the ground so that all his muscles loosened from laying on such a rough spot of ground. " What's the hurry anyways? I could've slept a few more hours." he says, still not happy to be awake but he was at least not cranky about it.

Star smiled "But if we don't leave now we won't be there" she said not even telling him where they where going but she just started walking west "Come on" she said this way her favorite place and she wanted to show SilentHawk

SilentHawk trots a little to catch up to her before he took up her side wanting to see where it was she was leading them both. " Something the wind said to you?" he asks wondering if it had spoken to her as he slept. His tail wagging lightly as they walked.

"You could say that the wind led me here when i was just a real young pup i was on a small hill very small you know and then the wind blew so hard i went tumbling down into this please that has lightning bugs all around it and water rabbit go there and so do deer" she said walking that was where she caught not stole he first rabbit

He smiles wide hearing her tell of it, it sounded like a beautiful place indeed. He had grown up surrounded by such nature made beauties but not one such as she described and the more he thought about it the more his tail wagged in anticipation to arriving there. " How far is it from here?" he asks a little impatient to get there as he already had an image of it in his mind but wanted to see it for himself like she had so long ago.

"Its a bit away and them we can hunt and wait till night but it will be dusk by the time we get there" she said happy to hear that he wanted to go it was beautiful but it took so long to get there but she was glad that she could still remember where it was she walked a bit and looked down this is where they turned because she put a claw mark on the tree in front of them she turned so that she was north and she walked a little bit but stopped seeing a deer "You or me?" she asked quietly not wanting to scare it off

He walked listening to her and nodding where appropriate, he noticed the deer before she had so that when she asked him the question of him or her he knew what she was talking about. His voice always in that low soft tone kept most prey from ever hearing him when he talked normally but yet he still took caution and whispered, " How about this time we both take it?" he offers not having participated in a hunt since he had been helping her to practice taking larger prey down, he wanted her to also get the feel of how a group hunt would go if she were ever in a pack plus he was a hunter and it was something he did like to do as it kept him agile and stealthy.

Star nodded "Thats fine just don't bite me" she said "And also you lead ill follow" she crouched waiting for him to sneak up a little bit and attacked it then she would she was planing in out in head

SilentHawk nods and goes into stealth mode, crouching low to the ground as his paws started to gently lift from the ground and place themselves back down. He did this several times knowing that he couldn't sneak in too close before he'd have to strike seeing as there wasn't much cover for them. He slowly moves then, having built up enough tension in his ligaments that when he needed to call upon them he sprung forward like a loaded spring would. He ran and it made it feel like a strong wind was blowing in his face, his mouth parted as he jumped for the deers back ready to take it down so she could make the kill. The force he hit it with when his jaws came clamping down on its spine reeled it over onto its back where it tried desperately to get back to its feet as its hooves moved like it was trying to run away. He held it down though so she could take its life as he lapped at the blood that was starting to fill his mouth.

Star stayed close when he ran she watched when he bit down after 30 seconds she started moving in she ran at it but it pulled its head up so she grabbed its lower jaw she quickly let go and found a point on its neck and bit down it moved a bit she felt it take its last breath before laying limp she didn't eat thought for a minute she was thinking of how she should have been better than just grabbing its jaw. she felt like she couldn't eat so she would just wait

SilentHawk was digging in as soon as the last of his chant left his lips, he was famished after going so long without food. Normally with how large he was he snacked almost all day long on things like mice, birds or rabbits all the small prey that would just fill his belly enough to give him energy to do the things he did all day long. But with her around he wasn't able to do much of that anymore and not that he minded it, for with her they would be able to start taking on bigger prey like moose and elk which he hadn't had either in a very long time but that was more due to the herds being further northwest during this season. He tore off part of the deers hind as he almost inhaled the tasty bloodied meat, hardly stopping to take a breath before he finally noticed she wasn't eating and he turns to her with a piece hanging from his mouth. " Something the matter?" he mumbled out as he went about gnashing up the flesh between his molars.

Star sat down by the deer thinking that it wasn't right for her to est after she messed up that what he parents taught her even though she was so hungry she had to think about the tons of times she almost staved because she was sick and couldn't hunt for herself she didn't think it was normal but she just didn't want to eat when she heard SilentHawk talking she turned around "Nothing" then she went back to thinking

SilentHawk swallows before continuing the conversation, " Well...then why aren't you eating? You were the one who wanted to hunt...and I know you're hungry." he says before he rips the leg completely off the deer to then set on the ground next to her and nose it forward, " Go on and eat...don't want to have to stop again before we get to that amazing place of yours." he says trying to encourage her to eat with him as he really didn't feel right eating like such a pig without her digging in too, she had after all killed it for them.

"Are you sure my parents always taught me that if you were messy with killing it or didn't kill it at all you didn't get to eat" she said looking at it she slowly moved forward then stopped not knowing if she should eat

SilentHawk shakes his head, " Does it seem fair that any wolf should starve?" he asks her. It was a simple question, yet to most it seemed not that simple. He didn't go back to eating but awaited her answer instead while he tilted his head slightly to the one side.

She looked down remembering again when she went so long without food and her parents and brother would eat in front of her but she thought that was normal "But i thought it was normal not to eat when you messed up" she said taking another step to it then she put her head down but couldn't take a bit she was afraid that he parents would attack her even thought they were probably dead

SilentHawk shook his head, " Every animal has a right to eat. Does the sun stop shining because the clouds cover it up?" he says before nudging the meat forward again, " If you had grabbed it's throat right away you may have taken a hoof to the stomach and lost it completely but here it is, dead and given it's life so we could live on. You only don't eat if you don't catch it at all, that's the true rule of nature." he explains before he leans down and eats on, she had to get past those misgivings because she was now in his company and learning how to live. " If you were on your own it would be the same." he mumbles after swallowing down a chunk of meat.

Star smled and took a bite of the meat it was so good because she was starving she kept eattng till she was full then she looked up the sun was just barely getting to be half way high "Come on we need to get going" then she stood up and started walking more

SilentHawk nods in agreement having stopped eating before her he had just sat quietly waiting for her to finish, once she rose though he too stood to follow. Once starting off he took up her side and licks his chops then starts to clean himself during their walk from time to time, along his fores and face to rid himself of the blood that had coated his fur slightly.

Star stopped at looked up they should be there anytime now the sun was high it the sky it would be dusky anytime as she walked she saw a grass like flower thing she brushed up against it and her sick itched she scrachted then it started to hurt so she kept stopping to itch it

SilentHawk after about the third time she stopped to itch watches her curiously, " Pick up some fleas for the trip?" he chuckles jokingly not realizing she had brushed up against anything to make her itch in the first place.

Star kept inching "Its that plant don't brush up against it!" said she bit her foot she didn't know what it was but they didn't have time for it so she walked a bit off and she dragged her paws to make them stop itching

SilentHawk had brushed up against it but he was unaffected by it in the slightest, " I have no idea what you're talking about...I've ran across that plant many times and I've never started to itch because of it." he says as he watches her start to drag her paws, " Although I do know that if you itch something it tends to only make matters worse." he states having been bitten by fleas before, it was lucky that his pack knew so much about them that he knew a special plant that rid them of their troublesome pests. It had been discovered by his grandma one day while she went out to roll in the field to try and help her itchiness only to find that one particular plant seemed to be killing the pests off and those that weren't dying were fleeing from her. " Of course in some cases it does help with like mosquito bites...but other then that I've never known it to help matters." he said still following her closely.
