Ashton, on top of the world (reserved Raelynn)

Ashton walked out of the forest and towards the cliff. A cool breeze wrapped around his body and rustled through his fur. He turns to look at Rae, who was still right behind him. He walks forward, sitting in front of her.
We're finally out, he sighs, closing his eyes and lifting his head into the air.

Raelynn padded out onto the cliff, the rocks scraping the pads of her paws. The breeze drifted around her, chilling her body through her thinned fur. She shivered slightly and watched as Ashton sat in front of her, muttering before raising his head. Normally, she would have lunged at that moment to bite his throat, but she... couldn't this time. For some reason. She sat as well, trying her best not to shiver.
"Finally," she agreed. She couldn't remember when she entered that forest anymore, and that thought scared her.

Well, now that we're out of there, lets find ourselves shelter before it gets too cold, he said, noticing Rae was shivering. Ashton stood and softly nudged her with his muzzle, walking away a few steps and looking back to make sure she was following. The wind brushed through his pelt.

Raelynn followed after, but she was confused. "But... you already got me out of the forest. Why... why are you still helping me?" she asked curiously.

What, do you expect me to just leave you hear in the freezing cold? That would only give me a guility conscience. he says.

"Well, i did expect you to do that... but if you're sure.." she told him. She followed as they found a hollowed out crevice in the cliff. She walked in, sitting down slowly. It was more spacious than it looked from the outside. The wind didn't enter the cave.

Ashton let Rae go in front of him. After she was safly in, he squeezed his massive body through the crevis, barely making it in. He lets out a sigh of relief when he makes it in and looks over at the fae.
Warmer? he asks.

Raelynn nodded, sending him a beautiful soft smile. "Much," she whispered, but it was louder due to the enclosed space.

Good Ashton says, happy to see her beautiful smile. That fits you better, he says aloud without meaning to.

Her head tilted. "What fits me better?" she asked softly.

He looks at her, I said that aloud didn't I. I mean your smile. It seems to make you more...hopeful. he says.

Raelynn smiled crookedly, showing a little chip in her sharpest tooth. "You did say it aloud. And... I'm always hopeful. Hoping I'll live to see another day, or whatever fits. I just have an odd way of showing it. My sarcasm, for example."

Ashton shrugs and sits down on the cold floor of the cave. Although warmer, the cave was too dark to see much. It's especially hard with the darker coats on both of the wolves. Making out Rae's figure, he looks at her, Get some rest. You'll need it. I'll keep watch so your safe.

Raelynn hesitantly laid down, but she was scared to fall asleep. Could she really trust Ashton? She decided yes. And if she didn't wake up, oh well. At least she ended her life well.
She closed her eyes, and sleep took her over quickly.

He smiles as the fae falls to sleep and pads over to her, curling up beside her and lays his head on his front paws. Ashton felt slightly dozy, but knew he couldn't fall asleep, but even without wanting to, his eyes slowly shut and he drifts into a silent slumber.

Raelynn opened her heavy eyelids, blinking at the bright light outside the cave. She felt warm, so warm and comfortable, when she heard a soft snoring beside her. She glanced over to see a sleeping Ashton. A gentle smile lit her face, even though he had said he'd keep watch. He needed the rest as well though. She rested her chin lightly on his shoulders.

Ashton snored slightly and opened one eye. Out of the corner of it he saw Rae resting on his shoulder. He smiles and lifts his head to look at her. Now that she's rested, she looks a lot better, but still not one hundred percent.
Feeling any better? he asks quietly.

Raelynn startled when he spoke, quickly taking her head off its resting spot. "Y-yes," she muttered, slightly embarrassed. "I'm quite hungry though.."

Ashton nods and slowly gets up, walking towards the caves crevis like entrance. He looks over his shoulder and back at Rae, smiling, I'll be right back, OK?

Raelynn nodded back, a spark of life retuning to her deep blue eyes. They were the same color as the ocean outside now. She smiled, a toothy grin. "Of course," she told him.

He nods, OK. Quickly squeezing his way through the crevis, he lopes off towards the forest again, looking over at the shore line and watches the calm water. He quickly finds a rabbit and pounces, snatching it up in his jaws and began to return to the cave.

Raelynn stood, padding over to a corner of the cave. She dug her claws into the sandy ground, digging. Soon enough, she hit water. She dug out a small trough and took a sip. It seemed drinkable! The liquid was cool on her throat and she sighed, happy for once in a long while.

Ashton walks over to the crevis and throws the rabbit into the cave, squeezing his way in afterwards. He picks up the rabbit once again and gives it to Rae.

Blair smiled, thanking him as she dug into the rabbit's meat. She paced herself, not wanting to get sick, but one could tell she felt better after the meal. She trotted over to Ashton, brushing past him in a teasing way as she exited the cave easily with her thin body. She loped over to the waterline, crashing into the shallow water and barking.

He smiles as she brushes past him, her scent devoring his. He follows out the cave with her and watches her jump and bark in the water playfully. Ashton walks forward after her and touches the water with his paw. It was cold, but he could handle it. He walks further into the water.
