The Silver Shine pack

Scar pricked her ears up slightly as mercury seemed to let a sigh escape out of his muzzle. She shifted slightly as the sun continued to warm her back, ever so slowly climbing higher into the sky. She felt like her fur started to get to warm after a bit but she didn't mind. She was lost in thought really thinking back to last night but shaking that away. Her mind soon wondered to other thoughts, why did there always seem to be danger everywhere now. Ever since that night that happened it seemed so long ago. She sighed herself looking over towards mercury with his muzzle under his paw. What had she called him last night though...it was faint on her mind, what was it...oh yes now she remembered. She had called mercury father. She wondered if that had made him mad or not. She knew she said it but she think she was too out of it to say it herself. She didn't know so she slightly closed her eyes drifting in in out of sleep slightly.

Mercury's eyes snapped open when he realized he had fallen asleep. Lifting his muzzle, he scanned the lake. He didn't notice any movement in the trees or the water, only the occasional splash from the fish. The silver brute stood up and shook his pelt. His hazel eyes shifted to movement on the opposite side. He face relaxed when he spotted Rubyeyes instead of the imaginary predator that prowled the dark parts of his mind. He flicked his tail and glanced at Scar. Her silver pelt glinted in the sun. His eyes narrowed. The echo of her voice last night lingered in the back of his head. 'Father...' His tail lashed at the though of him being a father. He betrayed his own, his whole family even, there wasn't much he could learn from that.

As scar drifted in in out, every once in a while though she would slightly open her eyes, one time she did that she saw mercury more alert. He didn't act like anything was there so she guessed he fell asleep and awoke real quick and was scanning the area. She slightly lifted her head too and seen rubyeyes was near the water. She shivered at the thought and looked over to mercury. She got up shaking her pelt, the sun shining off of it. She stretched out her front paws moving forward until her tail was behind her in the air and she seemed like a stretching cat. As she did that she yawned her little puppy teeth glinting in the light. One was missing on the left side. One of her little ones behind her lower canine. She slowly licked it feeling the gap and tried too look down at it looking like she was cross eyed.

Mercury backed up a step as Scar started waking up. He glanced at the lake to cover up the interest that he had shown the small pup. The word still echoed in his mind. He couldn't get it out of his head. She arched his back and he turned to her and feigned the surprise as she arosed herself from sleep. His ears twitched as the splashes of water persistence on the other side. He glanced over at Rubyeyes. 'What the heck is she doing...?'

After she got done starching and investigating her missing tooth,Scar looked up at mercury, he look surprised, but she didn't know why. Then she flowed his gaze too the persisting splashing near the water. She looked over to rubyeyes as she was doing something. But going against her curiosity to investigate she stayed where she was. She sat back down swishing her tail thinking of something to do. She looked around and saw a butterfly so she got and bounded after it too see if she could jump high enough to catch it.

The sudden breeze ruffled his fur, causing goosebumps to rise up on his skin under his pelt. Mercury tensed up to keep from shivering or chattering his teeth. The silver brute waved his tail and decided to investigate what the silver blue wolf was doing. He padded forward with a yawn. He decided to skim around the lake, and not swim through it. The weather threatened to rain, and Mercury didn't feel like getting pneumonia. Once starting to trot, he increased his pace to a fast gallop. The wind flattened the grass on the small moor. His pawsteps trampled the rest. His silver figure turned to a blur as he raced to the other side.

Silver, oblivious to what had happened with Mercury, Scar, and the other wolves, she finally slunk back to the pack, casting her eyes over the clearing with a silent huff before she sat and yawned. Her eyes flashing to the sky as thoughts ran through her head like they were pups on hyper-active speed.

(I'm so so sorry! I've been having horrid family problems and I've been out of it lately.)

Scar chased the butterfly and at one point almost caught it. Later as it was fluttering close to the ground she made a pounce/jump for it. She landed on it with a triumph. She slowly lifted her paw looking under it and the butterfly lay still. She pawed at it and it wouldn't move its colorful wings. She looked sadly at it and murmured "I killed it" She lowered her head to it and a little tear fell on one of its wings. She sat down by it for a while before getting up and going after another nearby butterfly, forgetting about the old one for now.

(Don't worry about it! Nice to have you back though!)

Mercury slowed to a stop a few tail lengths away from the silver blue she-wolf. 'Honestly...What is she doing...?' The silver wolf frowned at her hunched over figure. The wind had started blowing downwind from the fae, and along with it brought the scent of Silver. His ears perked and he turned to face the figure. 'Silver?' His hazel eyes widened a little. He hadn't seen the wolf for a while now.

(Hey look! We have almost 100 pages!!!!)

Silver lifted her head boldly, her eyes sparking with confidence as she smiled into the wind, her black fur ruffling into the wind. Her eyes moved about, finally landing on Mercury, she smiled, her heart beating faster as an almost puppy like joy shocked through her body. She stood still, waiting to see what he would do, though, out of the corner of her eye, she smiled when Scar disregarded the dead butterfly and went after a new one not far from her.

(So glad to be back ^_^ And, we can make it! And, just lost my dad, no worries.)

OOC: Sorry, that is something that I worry about though, and I know the exact feeling to. :( I don't feel good now, I might not post for a little while maybe. I got to go to college anyways soon.


Scar as she chased the new butterfly noticed a flash of a pelt just outside of her vision. She turned her head slightly, the smell hitting her nose with a slam making her stop abruptly. "Silvers back, silvers back!"

Mercury locked eyes with the she-wolf. Her crystal blue eyes stunned him, but he finally shook his head back into reality. With a frown, he galloped over to the white marked fae. His silver tail swished the ground apprehensively. He opened his mouth to say something, but he didn't know what to say. With an exasperated sigh, he managed to ask a small question. "Where the hell have you been? Scar and the others were worried about you." He said with a hint of irritation. Of course he was worried about her too, but he wouldn't openly show his care to others. He just wasn't that kind of wolf.

Silver looked at Mercury, looking deep into his eyes, she smiled and tilted her head slowly, "I was okay, I'm sorry for being gone for so long." She lifted her head over his, waiting as her eyes flashed almost playfully now, looking at Scar and smiling as she waved her tail towards the young wolf. Silver breathed in the smell of the wind, her eyes fluttering as she sighed and almost visibly sagged to the ground. She only shook her head and returned her crystal blue eyes gleaming brightly as she watched him while also keeping tract of what went on around them.

OOC: Ah....sorry about that episode, im back now, at least for this post, I've visited a few others too. Hope everyone is having a good summer now. And sorry this post is so short for a long wait.


Scar soon disregarded the new butterfly and went bounding over to silver and mercury. She had her tail wagging to its fullest extent. "Silver! silver! Your back! " Scar said almost bounding into her but stopping skidding on her paws as they sunk a few inches into the dirt causing friction to be a worthy ally at the moment. She looked back up at silver and then at mercury a lopsided puppy smile that seemed to take over her face as she looked between the two.
