Hunting in mist

Midnight looked at her. "It must be afternoon." he said. Shaking his fur he walked up to her. "What do you say we go to the waterfall and cool off?" he asked, panting.

"Sounds like a good idea." Jasmine said also panting. She started walking towards the waterfall.

Midnight was soon by her side. The mist was cooler than it was on the hill top. Yet, in some parts of the walk, it was like being in a hot shower. Mosquitoes buzzed in Midnight's ears. He flicked them away. "Lets hope the walk is over soon." he said with a sliver of irritation in his voice.

"Yes please! Let this be over!" Jasmine said dramaticly. She started to laugh.

Midnight laughed along. "That's a good way to look at it." he said, chuckling softly. He heard the gushing sound of the waterfall and smiled. "We're here." he said, relieved. After a few more strides they encountered the falls. "Ladies first." he said, sitting down.

"Why thank you kind sir." Jasmine siad in a british accent while bowing. She to a few steps back. Then, she ran and did a front flip into the water.

Midnight jumped in after her. The water was nice and cold. The mist around it was cool, and the movement of waves repelled mosquitoes and flies. He sighed, relieved, then smiled. "Ah.... this is better." he said.

"Yes, much better." Jasmine said with a smile. She started to splash Midnight with water

Midnight laughed and splashed her. "That was refreshing." he said, spitting water out from his mouth.

"Eeewww! You spit in the water!" Jasmine said splashing Midnight and laughing.

Midnight laughed. He splashed her back again. This time he had kept his mouth closed when she had splashed him. He laughed again.

Jasmine laughed again. She dove under water and looked at the seashells. Out of the corneer of her eye she saw some thing sparkling. She swam towards it and picked it up. Then, she resurfaced. She got out and sat it on the ground. It was a golden seashell filled with jewls of all sorts. "Midnight, come look at this." She said shaking water off her fur.

Midnight hauled himself out from the water. He trotted over to her. "That's very pretty." he said. He smiled at her. "What would you do with it?" he asked.

Midnight smiled broadly. "Hmm..." he muttered. He paced, occasionally looking at the seashell. "Let me think." he said, he sat down and licked his lips in concentration. Midnight tilted his head from side to side. He sighed, "How about you decide." he said looking at her.

"I don't know. Mabey we can use it to decorate the cave?" Jasmine said. She wagged her tail.

Midnight wagged his tail as well. "Great idea." he said. He stood up and began panting in the heat.

"Great." Jasmine siad wagging her tail and panting. She started to walk towards the cave.

Midnight was soon beside her. Once they got to the cave, Midnight's fur had plastered against his skin. "It's so hot and humid!" He exclaimed. He shook his fur, and it puffed up. He shook it again, and it settled back down. He sighed, and sat down, panting.

Jasmine sat down the shell and sat across from Midnight. "Yeah, it is hot." She said panting.

"I'm thirsty." said Midnight. "I'll get us some water." he said. With that, he disappeared into the other side of his cave. He looked at his collection of wolf-men nick-nacks. He found two woven bowls. He smiled and grabbed the small bowls. He filled them with water from the small cavern stream. He took it back to the main room and set them down. "There you are. Fresh groundwater. Taste it, it's nice and cold. It has that taste of fresh." he said smiling. He lapped the water in his bowl and sighed. He wagged his tail. "OK, where to put the shell.." he said, looking at her.

Jasmine laughed. "The taste of fresh?" She said still laughing. She started to drink some water. "Ok, we also need to figure out a place for the jewls I found in it." She said smiling.

Midnight cocked his head, considering her question. "There's a lot of stuff we can do with both of them." He said.

Midnight looked around. "I'm not sure. We can display the jewels on this moose skull. We can hang the seashell, but I don't know how..." He said. The moose skull was displayed on the wall behind them. But there wasn't anything to hang the seashell with. He shrugged. "I don't know what to do with the shell." he said, sighing.
