"Well, we could set it on something. Like a shelf. Hmmmmmmm." Jasmine said sighing. She lay down to think.

Midnight lay down. "How 'bout we rest. We'll wake up with new ideas." he suggested. With that he closed his eyes. Midnight sighed, he shifted his position to get more comfortable.

Jasmine wasn't tired so she went exploring. She walked past the temple and soon found a hole. She heard sounds from it and stuck her head in to listen. She accidently fell. "Aaahhh!!" She screamed as she fell. "Ow." She said as she got up. She shook the dust off her fur. She looked around. It was a huge tunnel. Jasmine walked down and found many rooms. She stopped at one room and saw a piano. "It seems people lived here once." She said curiously. She had a flashback. Once it stopped she walked up to it and pressed down a key. Then she cried. She started to play her favorite song. Then she fell over,crying, and went to sleep.

Midnight felt an absence in his cave. He woke up, a little confused. "Jasmine?" he shouted. He had awoken by the time it was night. The mist swirled around the tree trunks. He laid his ears back. "JASMINE!" he howled. He walked out of the cave, and sniffed the ground. He found her scent and began to follow it. "JASMINE!" He shouted.

Midnight had been running through the dark, moonless, starless night. He found himself lost. How had he gotten lost? He knew his territory like the back of his paw. Thistle caught and scratched at his paws. He sniffed again. Jasmine's scent was lost as well. He was in the shags. Dead trees, thorns, decay. He smelt the ugly scent of a carcass. He laid his ears back. "JAZZ!" he yelled into the walls of mist. Midnight walked forward hesitantly. He hadn't been in the shags since he had first found the forest of mist. It was new to him, yet familiar.

As he walked, brambles clawed at his legs. One was sharp enough to draw blood. Midnight flinched. He sat down on the blackened ground and licked his wound. Shaking his coat, he stood up. His blind eye wasn't doing good to help him. And the mist was making it hard to see right in front of him. But he kept walking, determined to find Jasmine, and of course leave the shags and never come back.

Jasmine woke up to whispering. Her fur stood up and she was ready to attack. She saw a pair of red eyes staring at her. Then a wolf walked out of the corner of the room. It was Canus's brother. He walked up to Jasmine and gave her an evil grin. Then he said "Your next." She screamed as loud as she could and then he dissapeared.

Midnight could've sworn he heard someone scream. "JASMINE!!!" He shouted. He barreled towards the noise. All of the sudden he began to hear screaming everywhere. Midnight kept running the way he was, but it seemed as though thorns jumped out of nowhere and snagged on him. He tripped and tumbled down a ravine. He fell into a tumultuous river. He coughed and spluttered. Midnight was thrown underwater. He resurfaced just to be pulled back again. Then suddenly a huge form of a wolf took shape in the water. It grabbed Midnight's ruff and threw onto shore. It was Christina, the water wolf. Midnight looked at her, she howled, then dispersed back into the waves.

Midnight stumbled through weeds and thorns. He made his way through the mist. Midnight was exhausted. "Fenrir! Canus! help me!" He cried into the night.

The wolf that appeared earlier appeared again. He laughed evily and surrounded her. It was like decoys surrounded her because there was more than one this time. She screamed again. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!" The wolves striked at her, making her hit the wall. She was too weak to get up.

Midnight stumbled through the darkness. "FENRIR! CANUS!" he pleaded. He looked up into the pitch black night. Hew knew Jasmine was in trouble. Suddenly a flash of blinding light appeared ahead of him. This way. A kind voice whispered in his mind. He followed the flashes, hearing more praises from the voice. He broke out into a run. He noticed a familiar fallen tree. He stopped and sniffed it. It was marked by him. He smiled broadly. He was in his territory. The flashes receded and he was left alone. He would've preferred to keep the person's company, but he was on his own.

He ran through his territory. He didn't trip anymore, thank god. He came up to the temple. Odd...He thought. Midnight shrugged, circled it. He heard a demonic laughter. He ran up to the hole. I know this hole... He thought. He jumped into it, following the laughter.

Jasmine tried to attack but was thrown against the wall again. This time she coughed up blood. The wolf just laughed louder.

Midnight passed the room with the piano. He stopped and looked in. Jasmine was on the ground, with shadows surrounding her. He growled, hackles raised, tail high. He was a mirror image of Fenrir, sort of. He didn't know it but, Fenrir was right behind him, same posture and everything.

"You leave her alone! I'll show you!" He growled in Fenrir's thundering voice. He stepped forward, and snarled.

The wolf just stood there. "Both of you are next. See you next time Fenrir." He said in an evil laugh. Then he dissapeared. Jasmine lay there gasping.

OOC: Jasmine is the only one that has things like this happen to her. Midnight should be saved for once.

Midnight ran to her. Fenrir disappeared. "Are you OK?" he asked, helping her up. He observed her, "I'm so sorry I wasn't here sooner!" he said.

She coughed up another wad of blood. "I guess, I don't know." She said wearily. "I was playing the piano and then I fell asleep. When I woke up, I saw red eyes and he appeared. Do you think it was because I played the piano?" Jasmine asked still weary.

Midnight shook his head. "No, that piano is perfectly normal. There's something else about this. We must get to my cave." He said. His mind was spinning with confusion. He had seen an element wolf. Fenrir had stood with him. Canus had led him back to their territory. What was going on?

Midnight looked at her. "We'll speak at the cave. Right now, let's distance ourselves from the temple." he said. His voice was stern, but it had a sliver of shakiness in it.

Jasmine took off in a blazing speed. She wanted to be safe and away from that cursed place. She reached it in what seemed like seconds. "Ok, now, what happened?" She asked sternly.

Midnight reached the cave a few seconds behind her. He gestured into a different room. This was a serious conversation. They slid down a tunnel, and into a small dirt room. He sat down, and gazed at her with a hazed expression. "I went to find you. After a while I became lost in the shags." he said. The shags took up most of the forest of mist and was usually where people got lost and died. Midnight had been lucky and found that cave that led to the waterfall. "I heard a scream, probably from you. I ran to follow it, then the scream seemed to rebound off of everything. It was everywhere. I kept running the direction I had first heard it. Thorns grabbed at me like claws in a battle field. I tripped and tumbled into a deadly river. The water goddess, Christina saved my life. After that I kept aimlessly wandering through the shags when I saw a flash of light. I swear Canus was leading me to you. Then I came up on the temple. I heard evil laughter and followed it. I came down the hole, and you know the rest." he said slowly.

"Ok, you saw an elemental wolf and canus helped you find me. Then I saw Fenrirbehind you. What's up with all these spirits and gods showing up lately?" Jasmine asked shaking.

Midnight shook his head. "That is the greatest secret." he said. Midnight was exhausted, and needed some sleep. "How about we get some rest. We do need it. Tonight was not the best of them." he said, his voice cracking. He lay down and sighed. Blood from that one thorn trickled from his leg. He was still damp from falling into the river. He heaved a sigh. This was one of the lesser used rooms. It was very comfortable and cozy. It had an earthy warmth and Midnight liked it. This cave was more of a bedroom than the rockiness of the main room.

"Hang on, its my turn to patch you up." Jasmine said and then took off. She brought some guaze and w4apped it around his bleeding wound. "Better?" She asked with her ears perking up.

Midnight smiled. "Yes, thanks." he said looking at her. He placed his head on his paws and closed his eyes. "Good night." he said, curling his tail close to his wound.

"Your welcome. And goodnight." Jasmine said as she lay down. She curled close to Midnight. She always felt safe when she was next to him.

Midnight smiled and sighed, relieved. He was back with Jasmine, safe in his cave.
He felt a enveloping warmth, and a calm voice speaking to him. Rest now, for we will protect you and your love. Bury the shell in this room. The jewels with it. Spirits won't think to look anywhere in this cave. Midnight nodded in his sleep, with silent agreement.

Jasmine woke up. She walked out to the main room of the cave. A shadowof her step parents led her out of the cave. Then morphed into Canus's brother. "Hello again. I see you have yourself a boyfriend?" He said smirkishly. "Leave us alone!" Jasmine growled. "I think not." He siad with an evil grin. A defening ringing started in her ears. Jasmine fell to the ground and started whimpering. She tried to get up but it pained her too much. She only could struggle on the ground. the wolf walked up to her and watched her in pain. "Grraaaaa!" Jasmine screamed out loud.
