Alone.

Kihyah smiles softly up at her, scuttling his butt a bit closer to her to give her a shy kiss to the cheek. Scooting his butt towards her again he nudges into her lovingly, a wide grin from ear to ear now held upon his muzzle as his tail softly swayed behind him. " You ready?" he asks getting up to make his way over to the shoulder mud and moss clinging to the fur on his butt. He shakes softly to rid himself of the collected debris before taking hold once more of the bucks shoulder waiting for her to join him once more in hauling the beast to a place he knew would be perfect for storing this meat for the days after they would have it.

Mystery laughs softly as she watches Kih scuttle over to her and she returns his shy kiss with her own to his nose as her tassle swayed happily behind her. She laughs lightly again as he scoots closer to her but her laughing is soon cut off by her murring when he nudged lovingly into her and she nuzzed gently into him. Watching as he gets up then she moves also, chuckling when she caught a glace of the mud and moss on his butt before he shook it off. She moved to grab the bucks neck as he grabbed the shoulder and she mumbled a 'Ready' to him between her clenched jaws.

Kihyah started off again, making their way up the large hill his nose twitching from left to right as his stomach grumbled. He was starving but it wasn't much further now, it was just a struggle to get him up and when they got half way he barked at her quick. " Wait and keep holding it, I'm going to get around to help give us some push upwards so we're not straining our necks." he tells her before letting down the shoulder gently before letting go and running around to the other side. He snarls only for a moment before his jaws snap around the rib cage ripping into the flesh to get a good grip there and he lifted up promptly to start moving the rest of the way up the steep incline.

Mystery nods gently to Kih after he finished telling her what he was planning to do and she shifted on her pads slightly before he let go so to make sure she had a good grip on the buck just incase it decided it was going to slide down somewhat. Once he let go the buck did slide slightly but not much, it was easy enough to hold until Kih grabbed it again. Her ayds perked at Kih then when she heard his little snarl and hearing the sound of ripping flesh her stomach growled at her, demanding that she eat, and she gave out a tiny whine as they started back up the hill.

Kihyah pushed and with her pulling it took them less time to make the rest of the way up the hill, pushing over to the gorge and the tall stones he had been climbing on before stopping and dropping the young buck. " We'll store it here. Let's eat." he says before snarling loudly and diving his maw at the chest cavity, latching down to rip a strip of flesh from the body to chew it as his stomach growled. His swallowed after while to lick his chops as his stomach stopped it's out cry, digging into rip another strip of skin from the body chunks of fiberous muscle coming off with it and he chews on the tender meat enjoying it's sweet flavor on his tongue.

Mystery dropped the buck's neck as they reached the top and she watched as Kih dropped the kill. Her stomach growled then when her mate informed her this was where they were storing their kill and the moment she heard lets eat she was making her way around the lifeless body to stand beside Kih as his snarl ripped through his throat before he tore into the chest. She let a low growl rumble out from her chest as she listened to him begin to eat and she shifted just slightly on her pads before ripping into the kill's stomach, her tassle flicking quickly as she practicaly inhaled everything her stomach didnt reject. She could eat the elk much easier than she could the fish for her nose only wrinkled a few times as she ate whenever her stomach turned to a certain taste or smell. She enjoyed the meal, her growls slowly turning to murrs as she filled her belly and started to realize how tired she was now that her brain didnt scream food.

Kihyah broke apart the chest cavity next, chewing down the tender meat between the ribs. He just about dies over those ribs as murrs start to emit from him as well while he enjoys his meal. They had done rather well for themselves and would give them a few days off, he'd want to go hunting before their meat ran completely out so he planned for three days out in his head as swallowed another strip of rib meat before calling it his last. His belly near stuffed when he stops only to start ripping large chunks of the elk apart to start stuffing them in between the smooth crevices in between the towering stones, it was a perfect spot the meat would be well out of the sun and kept cool by the smooth stone.

Mystery finished eating soon after Kih had started to rip chunks off the elk to go store them and after licking her chops lightly she started to help him, breaking off the large chunks for him so all he would have to do would be to find a spot between the rocks for the large pieces of elk. Having dismembered the carcass she started to groom the drying blood off her muzzle gently, licking her paw if she had to and rubbing on a spot where her tongue couldnt reach as she watched Kih finish up putting away their kill.

Kihyah finally carrying the last large hunk of meat over to cram in, he gives out a groan after finishing the work and trotting over to sit next to Mystery only to start laughing at her attempts to clean herself. " Um...I'm afraid you've forgotten love but...we still have a river to cross." his tail starts wagging behind him and laughs again as he gets his hinds up to start down the hill towards the river already desperate and wanting to get back to the den as he was exhausted from the hunt, then having to pull the dead weight up the hill which had done a number on his back so he was looking forward to the smooth rock. Unknown to him that the smooth slab aligned his back every night he slept on it, all he knew was it always did the trick and that was good enough for him. " Come on." he yips back at her before picking up his speed a little down the side of the hill seeing the river and knowing they could make a short cut by following the river up but this was the safest place to cross that he knew of and looking for another good spot would take even longer to find so that's where he was headed happily awaiting the water to clean his sticky face of the drying blood that was starting to make his chin itch.

Mystery rolls her eyes lightly when her mate starts to laugh at her cleaning. "I know that.. I didnt want to itch on the way there." She tells him, licking some blood off his wet nose before giving him a gentle smile. She lifts her hinds then as her did, following behind as he padded down the hill. Hearing his yip for her to come on she bounds up close to his side, murring as she licked lightly at his hackles. She was ready to be back home at the den again, wanting the comfort of their cave and she flicked her auds gently to a sudden twinge in her stomach reminding her it would be morning soon enough. Letting out a light sigh to the reminder that she was going to be sick in a few hours she shakes out her crown, pressing closer into Kih.

Kihyah felt her lick to his haunches before she leaned into him, he trots into the cold water of the river happy to be rid of the itchy dried blood that had lightly stained the white fur at the tip of his chin. He gets to the other side shaking off as he started to shiver in the chill night air before he started running home trying to pump adrenaline through his veins to warm him that and he was anxious to get home with his mate.

Mystery hesitates slightly when they come to the river but she doesnt let it slow her much. After a second she padded into the cold water after Kih, dipping her crown under the water before she got to the other side to clean it. Once her pads hit solid ground again she shook out her pelt, flanking Kih again and picking up her pace as he started to run. She stayed a half a step behind him, her stomach starting to reject the movement somewhat as she ran.

It doesn't take long before Kihyah is strolling into the opening of their den panting heavily as his tail wave quickly behind him from the rush of the run through the forest with her, he had felt her hot breath on his back end so he had known she was right behind him the entire time not having to slow at all for her as they had moved through the light mist that was starting to cover the ground now that the sky was growing lighter. He hadn't realized it was already that time but it was just as well, he moved deep into the cave so that they would be out of the sunlight so it couldn't try to seep past his eyelids once the day was upon them. Finding a perfect spot behind a small rise of stone where he could lay his head behind it and expect his head to be shaded from the invading light, slowly allowing his hips to twist and slowly fall to the stone floor as his shoulders quickly followed. His head promptly following the rest of his body before his silver iris' would raise in their sockets to look up at her, a soft smile creeping across his muzzle.

Mystery's auds perk as she sees thier cave through the dim light, her tassle swaying fiercly as she let out a soft happy whine to the terra. Her stomach had slowly gotten worse on the way back home and all she wanted to do now was lie down before it started gagging her. She gave out a content sigh as they walked back into the den and she watched as Kih found their spot where they would be sleeping in and she moved to lie beside him, dropping her hinds then her fores onto the smooth stone before curling up into her Kih, her stomach cringing to even the little movements now. She nudged Kih's belly and let out a low, short whine to tell him that she wasnt feeling the greatest anymore. Cradling her head between their frames she closes her eyes, waiting for her stomach to calm down with a little whine.

Kihyah gently lifts his head to gently lick her crown to try and soothe her, his grooming slower and softer then normal knowing her stomach was the cause of the sudden whine. He just gently cleans her crown for a long time, he wouldn't stop until she either felt better or fell asleep underneath his affections which either came first as he forced his eyes to stay open so he wouldn't be the one to fall asleep on her. A gentle murr rises in his chest while he continues, his breathing soft and relaxed as his chest pressed gently up against her back as it rose and fell.

Mystery soon fell asleep under her mates comforting grooming as her body relaxed with a content sigh leaving her before sleep pulled her under. She cuddled up with her Kih more in her sleep, burying her crown in his warm pelt and tucking her peds close against her frame. Mystery didnt move in her sleep after that, completly still other than the slight movement of her chest as she would let her mind wander to let it find something for her to watch behind her eyelids.

Kihyah's licks became softer the more she had relaxed underneath him, it told him that the soothing affections were doing as they were intended to. As she fell into rest he let out a gentle yawn with a light whine at the end of it before he'd lay his crown around hers, he snuggles into her fine soft ebony pelt to wrap his brute body around her petite one a loves embrace before he finally was pulled under the surface of sleep his own body becoming still and dead weight as he found dreams of her awaiting him.

Mystery lowers her auds in her sleep when she feels the comfort of her Kih wrapped lovingly around her, sighing contently as she dropped her gaurd completly and nuzzled her crown unthinkingly into her mates pelt. She dreamed of him, when they had first met. Her tassle flicked lightly in her sleep as she remembered his crooked grin and her shy smile. Her mind played out the memory for her as she slept and her tassle continued to flick ever so slightly as she watched silently.

Kihyah's dream was much different then his mates, the soft music of birds rang out as they ran together, their pads drumming out a steady beat. They were running across a long dry prairie in the dead of night, full florescent moon causing the mist they ran through to glisten as it cast droplets of water onto their fur. Mystery's fur glimmering in front of him entrancing him as he saw stars in the ebony pelt, constellations and shooting stars when the droplet would become to much for the strand of hair to carry any further and it let free. He lunges forward and tackles her with a wide grin upon his lips as they tumble down into the ground. His fores on either side of her as the fur on his massive crown finally starts to settle he slowly gets his fores underneath him before his gaze is trapped by her jades and they hypnotized him, his chest heaved between his fores from the early exertion. He watches a smile cross her brilliant ivories and she paws up at his muzzle before giving it tender licks from her pink ribbon. A murr rises in his chest the trance broken as his head comes down to nuzzle gently into her neck and face, hearing a murr rise in her as well his tail starts to sway behind him.

Mystery woke once her dream faded gently away from he. She squeezed her eyes shut as she begged silently for it to return to her, squirming ever so slightly inside her mates frame. Having waited a while to see if her dream would reappear in her mind and allow her to drift back off to sleep she sighed when she was positive it wasnt coming back to her. Her orbs opened gently then, gazing around the dim cave mindlessly before a long yawn forced her jaws apart, her lips curling gently over her enamels as she gave out a low whine before her maw came quickly back together with a light click of her enamels. Licking her chops gently she opened her orbs again to figure out what time of day it was in the day with how dim the cave was. The sun was blocked by the over hang of their cave and she guessed it was early in the morning considering where the sun hit against the rock. She moved slightly to comfirm this and was proven correct when her sick feeling jabbed harshly at her stomach.

Kihyah's dream continued, lost deep in slumber as his pads starts to softly scrap along the rock floor slow twitches at first before they picked up again. A smile spreading across his maw as a few muffled barks and yips come from behind his teeth and lips to be stuck firmly in the throat that had produced them. His audits twitch back and forth as his paws pick up pace, his pedistals completely still except for the paw pads that twitched in place feverishly as his barks and yips become more desperate and he springs up eyes shooting open as his pads continue the race forward and he slams into the cave wall throwing him backwards onto the smooth stone surface as an echoing yipe resonated around the cavern.
Kihyah raises his head as his eyes started to loose their blurriness from the stinging tears he was blinking away, he slowly rises wondering exactly what went wrong when he realizes he's not out in a prairie with his mate but is staring at the stone wall of the den and it dawns on him that it was only a dream. He slowly rises letting out a loud groan as his muscles and back protest as they were throbbing with pain from their introduction to the cave wall and floor. His pink tongue curls out of his lips to lick at the tip of his nose and with the light taste of snot was the distinct taste of blood, he blinks realizing the time and panics only to run out of the cave opening and fall. Tumbling all the way down the embankment as he let out more sounds of pain until he finally stopped his roll landing right next to the embankment. Apparently his thinking of get out fast so the look and smell of blood wouldn't upset his mates stomach hadn't processed its self thoroughly enough. He groans dipping his face into the cool water of the river only to have a fish bite the end of his nose and he pulls it back out of the water without the fish still attached.
" It's not going to be my day..." he groans not even attempting to get up yet.

Mystery smiles at first as she watches her mates pads twitch and scrape against the cave foor, lieing her crown down on his shoulder as she continued to watch his pads and she listened to his muffled yips and barks. Her auds flick then as his paws were basicly flailing now and she looked over at his face just before he sprang up and she jerked her head back off of his shoulder. Jumping back from his sudden movement her stomach screamed NO as it cringed, she squeezed her orbs shut then as she felt like she was about to puke and the feeling wasnt going away quickly. She whined lowly, partly because of her stomach but mostly because she had seen Kih smack into the cave wall and she heard his groaning. She opened her eyes only to see Kih lick his nose then dash out of the cave and she whined loudly,crawling just slightly only to be stopped by a jabbing sickness as she saw him fall. Wanting to go find him she crawls forward again and that did it as she dry heaved, barking once after to beg for Kih to come back.

Kihyahs audits perked when he heard his lovers bark, he tried to get up quickly but pain in his left ankle caused him to yip lightly and he winced forcing himself up onto it as he growled taking the pain by grinding his teeth slightly. He limps lightly as he makes his way back up to her, he trudged up that embankment determination and pain set in his face as he moved not allowing the ankle to hinder him. He reached her just as quickly as he would've if he hadn't injured his ankle, he whines seeing the distress in her face from feeling sick.
" Lay down love...let's get that tummy of yours settled." he says, he wouldn't hear anything different from her.
He kisses her muzzle a few times to coax her into relaxing before he'd make his way over to where she had heaved and moving over to snap down into the dirt in grass, picking up a clump in his maw before moving over to throw it onto the bile so it's smell couldn't induce more sickness in her. He went back over to her to slowly lay his sore body down next to her and lick at her crown trying to soothe her until the morning sickness passed.

Mystery whimpers to her mate when she saw him limp into the cave, trying to crawl over to him again but was soon stopped by the morning sickness that threatened to force her to heave again. She listened as he talked, her auds low and she whimpered again. "But-" She was cut off by the kisses to her maw and she closed her orbs, sighing and giving into his kisses by lowering her frame to the smooth cave floor. She watches as he limped off a ways to cover her bile where she had heaved as she rolled extremly slowly onto her side to wait for him to come back to her. Once she felt him lie down beside her and start to lick her crown she sighed and opened her orbs to ask. "Are you ok..?"

Kihyah smiles softly to her when he heard the question, " I'm fine...now close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing okay? Just think in and out alright." he tells her before going back to licking her crown.
He actually had no idea how bad his ankle was or if there was anything else wrong because all he could think about right now was his mate, she was his only concern and he knew they could worry about him later when she was feeling better. A warm soft murr rose to his lips trying to lull her into a relaxed state perhaps even into a nap if it would help her get past the sickness that had her laid up in the den. It wouldn't bother him any if she did fall asleep knowing if he was in her place he'd want to sleep through feeling nauseous too.
