Starting to name the pups...

Feeling her son come over to her also to try and comfort her the fae sniffled once before using her fore to wipe her cheeks off slightly. Grabbing her little ones up in her fores she buried her face in their bellies, Murring to them comfortingly as she breathed to them and herself. "It'll be okay.."

Laying sprawled out on the cold table the pup could hear muffled sounds around her, a certain buzzing sound reminded her of a fly and for a few moments she flickered her auds, thinking the bug may have been bothering them but actually it was just the sound of the machine working in the room.

He heard the noise of the machine inside the room and his hinds moved uncomfortably as his worry for his daughter grew a knot in his stomach that felt like a weight dragging him down and he lay his chin across his fores. The crowd of people were starting to move away, others were carefully daring themselves to draw closer at which he drew back his lips to show off the fangs that ripped into prey much larger then them. They backed off as he hoped, except soon a large man entered the room looking very angry. His face was beat red and it caused Kih to rise to a sitting position as he started towards him, but this slowed the man who looked over the wolf to the door behind him. " Susan! Susan you do this and you're off the project!!" he yelled and Kihyah started growling as he rose to his feet, he didn't like the tone the man was using. He wasn't sure what all was being said but again...he wasn't appreciating the tone.

Kodak knew that his mom was more telling them things would be okay because she was trying to talk herself into believing it too so he gives her kisses while wrapping his fores around her and his sister. His tongue moving across them both as he too tried to calm them. A soft murr rising up in him as he nuzzled into both of their black fur, hard to tell at times where his mother ended and his sister began with their similar pelts but he was starting to calm himself down as well. He could feel the tension in their home start to come down at least a little and it made him happy that he just might be helping.

She quickly moved to her lap top and clicked up the images, just as she had feared the little thing had a bleed on the brain and some severe swelling. She quickly moved, grabbing up an IV bag and needle...she tapped lightly on the tiny leg before gently feeding the long thin needle into her vein before moving again. Taking another syringe to fill it with a medicine that would reduce the swelling on her brain. If the pup didn't wake up after this...well there would be no waking up again she would stay in a coma possibly for the rest of her life. Then she waited after emptying the medicine into the IV. She then sat down to go over all the scans more thoroughly, she sighs when she hears her boss..if this little one didn't wake up soon she knew that eventually they would sedate the male drag him back to his home...and without his daughter ever coming back home. She sighed, nature could be very cruel she thought to herself as she discovered a slipped disc in the girls back, now with the threat on top of being partially or fully paralized as well. She wondered what had happened to the poor thing, god had a predator gotten to them...how horrible to see your daughter tossed around...she shook her head of the thoughts that had sent a nasty chill up her back and she set about writing down her notes about how she would next proceed should the pup wake.

Settling her crown down back against the terra the fae closed her orbs, Eclipse having joined her brother in kissing over her face and Mystery let out a light sigh. She tried to relax, every now and then her tongue lolling out to kiss her little Angels.

The pup twitched as the IV was put up her leg, breathing slowly as she was caged inside her dark...silent head. She didn't like it here anymore, a light whine eventually left the tiny fae as she started to come to. Not liking how it felt though as her head pounded again and there was a sharp pain in her back. Fore paws twitching slightly her claws made a strange sound against the table, orbs opening slightly she whimpered as the light hit her optics. She looked exhausted, worn out and still in pain but her head was very slowly starting to feel a little better.

The large man tried for the door and the silver regal snapped his jaws down near that mans hand just to frighten him off which worked well as he watched the wrecking ball shaped guy tumble over backwards as he yells for some people about getting some tranquilizer guns. Kih understanding the word gun quite well growled and moved forward towards the man, he was ready to have it out with the man when he heard the door behind him open.

He continued to kiss his mother and sister wondering if his father and sister would ever return to them, he knew it wasn't good to think about but his mind did wander. He lets out tiny affectionate yips to them both letting them both know how much he cared and loved them as his tiny little butt wagged out his happiness at having them both with him as he would have been lost without them.

When the small one woke she heard the little nails clip clopping on the metal table, Susan quickly got up and sedated the youth. She couldn't give her an anesthetic to put her out as it would send the youngster into a coma for sure but this way she could now actually start the surgery to repair the slipped disc in her back. This was iffy but she had to do it, if she just sent the girl home the disc could slip further and paralize her at anytime during her life. The surgery could too...but this way if something bad did happen at least they could raise the wolf in a sanctuary where she'd at least grow up pain free and some what happy. She started to prepare for the surgery when she heard the commotion outside the door and opened it to find the silver male, he slipped in quickly and she took the hint closing the door quickly on her boss and locking it. She turns to find the regal over by his daughter carefully checking her over, her heart drops seeing the fear in his eyes. " She's going to be okay...I promise." she tells the regal moving him aside as she grabbed the surgical tools. She watched as the male grew uneasy watching her, " Don't watch if you can't...I can't have unsteady hands." she remarks to him.

Mystery smiled gently watching her son try and cheer her and his sister up and the fae leaned into his belly to nibble at it and tickle him. Eclipse had moved to curl up beside her mothers nape, her worry getting to her as she sighed. What if her sister never came back? Her auds lowered with that thought, burying her face in her mothers pelt.

Getting another needle stuck in her as Susan gave her her sedative Psyche squirmed slightly but not enough to make anything difficult. The human walked away and the pup started to feel funny, not knowing how to describe it but it didn't feel wonderful. She didn't like it. Her auds turned hearing growls and yelling in the distance before two clicks spread apart which was the door opening and closing. There was tapping then, footfalls on the hard floor as the claws touched. Then she finally saw her Daddy as he brought himself up to look at her with his fores on the edge of the table. She whimpered to him, "Daddy.." she breathed, barely able to hear her own voice as the funny feeling slowly got stronger.

He looks at his daughter, a smile crossing his maw as he saw her eyes looking back at him he had to bite his tongue to stop himself from sobbing right there. " It's okay baby girl. I'm here." he says quickly watching as his little one slipped back under and he tears started to roll down his cheeks. He would never leave her side, he set it in his heart and mind that no matter what the outcome he would never leave her. When he was pushed aside by the human he grumbles not wanting to go anywhere but when she spoke to him he settled himself next to the leg of the table as she worked.

Kodak jumps his mom bounding a couple of times before landing on her and his sister with happy barks and his tail wagging. Stirring up a good game of rough housing he was good at and he was hoping that this would get them both to get their minds off Psyche. He loved his sister and if he thought about it too he just wanted to lay about and mope but instead he wanted to distract them all with a playful game of tug on mom's ear which started with her large audit in his maw and him yanking on it with a growl.

Susan started the surgery that would end up lasting over a couple of hours if not longer, she worked hard not stopping to answer the door when a knock came to it or even responding when asked if she was alright. But they must have seen the shadow of her moving about in there as they left her to her work. She would wipe away the beads of sweat that formed occasionally on her brow as she worked carefully with the youngsters spine and nerves, she was so tiny that it was what made things difficult. Such an injury in an older wolf would have been easier on her then this, she sighs and talks to the male as she works. " I can't promise she can live with you...she's hurt badly...did she get injured by a predator?...god listen to me I'm talking to a wolf." she shakes her head and for a moment thought she saw the male shake his head no in response to her question but she blinks it away as nothing.

Kodak bounded on her crown and the fae growled playfully to her son as he latched onto her aud. Eclipse didn't take much interest in playing at the moment, she didn't want anything else to happen while Dad and Psyche were still gone. She had no dout in her mind that they were coming back she just didn't know when. Myst played with her boy though, pawing at him and trying to get him off her aud

Psyches eyes closed after her Daddy left her view, she was still and silent other than her breathing or the occasional twitching of her auds. She could still hear and felt pressure on her spine but that was just about it as the little thing sighed mindlessly. She wished Daddy would kiss her or something, letting her know he was there. She felt alone and still felt strange enough to scare her.

The silver regal stayed put as he continued to watch the woman work, he moved only to circle around and get a better view from there he could see his daughter was still awake. He growls deep, concern for her well being growing...were they torturing her as the humans had once done to him so long ago? He moves forward but the female just places a hand on his crown, speaking softly she reassures him that his daughter can't feel anything and that he needs to keep his daughter calm otherwise he will be removed. He stays close to her though and lays his chin down on the cold metal table so that his face was only inches from his daughters. " You're doing great...just hang in there my baby girl you're so brave." he tells her.

Kodak ignored Eclipse, allowing her to deal with the situation how she saw fit. But he was obviously doing a good job at keeping his mom and even himself from worrying too much over everything. Just like his sister he thought everything was going to be fine too. His father had been treated by those humans before along with them getting those light pricks to the back and still nothing bad had ever come from those two legged creatures so why fear them was his line of thinking before it went back to mom's trying to get me off new tactic and he bounds over to her back where he backs away from her with his little butt high in the air and wagging to and fro with his tail.

Susan finished her work just shortly after the silver regal had made his way around the other side of the table to be closer to his daughter. She was wiping her hands clean when the wooden door burst, breaking it at the hinges she quickly dove in front of the young pup scared they would move the innocent thing too soon. A barrel of a gun aimed what seemed like directly at her made her gulp as fear not for the wolves but for herself started to take over. Then she heard the solid thunk of a tranq. shot leaving the barrel of the rifle and watched as it stuck firmly in the silver regals shoulder and he swayed but kept himself close to his daughter. Instead of turning to fight the humans like she had figured he would, he remained in sight of his little girl and her heart broke for them both. Watching was all she could do as the male fell finally in a large thud to the floor and more of her co-workers scrambled in to take hold of him to drag him out. Her boss now in her face, with his own beat red face he almost spat out the words that came next. " You get that pup fixed up and out of here no later then tomorrow...as for the other wolf he was never here you got that?" she didn't understand what was going on but nodded her head knowing that if she didn't comply they would take the little fae too and that would most certainly kill her. " Good. From now on you'll do as this department asks of you or you're out, understood?" she nodded as she watched them cage the gray male outside of her office only to pick him up and take him further into the facility. " Yes but what will happen with him?" she asks out of concern for the wolf, " He's none of your concern at the moment...now go back to what you were doing." he says before striding out of the womans office. She quickly went over to the little girl to try to comfort her in her fathers place, knowing it was not going to help and her mind seemed to be racing with all the things they might do to the male now that they had him for good and it made her swallow hard and sent a chill up her spine...what were they up to?

Mystery giggled watching her little boy bound away from her and throw himself into a playful bow. Eclipse having moved to curl up,in a ball near the back of the den she tucked her snout slowly beneath her tassel and sighed, about a million things running through her mind. What if her sister never came back? The question made her body ache, a shiver rippling up her spine slowly. Myst had rolled onto her side to continue to play with her son, stretching her fore out towards him and growling playfully. Everything stopped for her though at a certain moment when her heart dropped and her frame screamed at her that something was wrong. Her jades were glazed over in thought, staring blankly towards the entrance of the den, her tassle didn't twitch and neither did her audits in those few moments.

Feeling her Daddys breath against her face the tiny faes orbs opened slowly again, nares twitching as she looked at him. It was comforting seeing him there and her fore pads twitched trying to stretch out her fores towards him but they didn't really respond to her. Her auds flickered then hearing a loud crash near them and her whole body almost flinched but again didn't respond. Looking back over and seeing her father had gone a whimper escaped the pup, taking a few moments for her orbs to find him down facing a man who didn't look friendly. A strange but familiar sound hit her auds then and her stomach turned, tears welling up in her eyes as she watched her Daddy fall and a muffled yip barely made it past her lips. Tears soaked her cheeks watching them take him, heart pounding in her head as she cried and pain gradually started to make itself known in her back and head again now that she was crying.

Kihyah woke to a needle stuck in his arm and he turns to snap his teeth down trying to nail the hand that was injecting him with the medication that was counter acting the sedative that had been loaded into the tranquilizer. But he was in some kind of metal contraption that kept him completely fixed to the spot...standing and muzzled, fear started to fill his chest as he saw some humans in white coats coming towards him with more strange metal instruments that didn't look like any fun at all. He starts to cry, whimpering and whining as he tried to pull himself free with no luck he couldn't manage to get loose. Everything was so bright too..white everywhere he looked except for the black cages that housed other animals...a bear, foxes, mountain lions etc. all the locals. They looked rather worse for wear as they seemed to have an assortment of different scars upon them, they were doing experiments as for what he had no idea as he had never seem such miserable looking creatures before in all his years.

Kodak stopped as well, he felt the tug as well that his sister and mother felt...he however moved to the entrance only to turn his head to look at his mom as if to ask what are we waiting for before giving off a bark trying to snap her and his sister out of it. He hops on his paws and barks again before he turns and runs out, he was after his sister and fathers scent having picked up the nasty smelling monster that crashed through the trees and he was barking up a fit calling forward any help he might be able to get. Of course being small he wasn't getting very far very fast but he was bounding through the forests debris as quickly as he could knowing in his heart something very wrong was happening and he wanted to help.

Susan saw the little things grief and she just couldn't stand by any longer, standing for this crap for far to long she grabbed up one of the small carry kennels and lines it solidly with a quilt she had brought out here from her grandmothers estate. Placing the small pup in the middle as if to cushion the babe like an egg in its crate, then she puts her in the back of the jeep and stands there to speak with the pup. " I don't know if you understand me but I'm getting your dad out of there...you just wait here and don't worry okay?" she throws up the back, letting it latch before she grabs the stick with the cable coming out of the end and one of their electro rods ready for battle she storms into the front office where her two friends in the compound are waiting for her. " It's about time we're doing something about all this crap..." the air headed girl says with a smile wielding a mop handle for a weapon, the guy smiles and nods. " Let's get the big guy back...and report these assholes to who ever we can." he says picking up the electro rod he had grabbed as well. Susan smiled having been unsure how she was going to take on an entire team of people she now had more confidence that her plan of escape would really work.

"Kodak...!" The mistress barked after her son who had just darted out the den entrance, sighing and quickly rising to her peds. Her gaze shifted, looking back at Eclipse and telling her to stay here. They would be right back. The femme trotted outside fluidly, her son not having gotten very far. Jumping into a light run Mystery easily caught up with the pup, sighing as she picked him up by the scruff of his neck only to turn and start to head home in a gentle walk. "Sweetheart we can't go.. we have no idea where they are. They would both want us to stay here..safe." Her voice was strained towards the end, silent tears carefully streeking down her cheeks. She felt so useless right then, defeated.. there was nothing she could do. Even if she tried she wouldn't be able to move unnoticed through the city, even more so if she took the pups as she would have to hide them as well. Plus there were several cars there, their scents just overlapped constantly..they probably weren't even able to track.

Psyche didn't stop crying, she didn't understand why all of this was happening..why couldn't they leave us alone? Sadly the quilt she was set on was comforting. It felt safer than the hard metal tale she had been on before. Her tears soaked the fabric under her chin, starting to get feeling back in her limbs she slowly struggled to place her fore over her muzzle, trembling as it moved. The cage was set down and she whimpered, looking up at the blurry woman that had been touching her. She didn't understand what she said..she honestly didn't care. She just lied there, crying. Not really caring what happened to her anymore, she was in pain again. It shot up her spine and she curled into herself,

Kihyah continued to try and pull himself free now as the people got closer and closer with those metal instruments. One yelling at the one who had injected him with the counter agent that he had given the beast too much. He could hear his nails click against the metal surface he was dangled above in that strange contraption that kept him still. " Now hold still or this will hurt you more then it should." he stuck another needle in him yet this time in his head and he yelped again trying to get away and the human had been right it just hurt worse so he stopped. " That's right ya dumb mutt..." he snickered as Kihyah slowly felt that part of his face and head go numb. He heard a commotion coming his way and his eyes turned to see if he could tell what was going on praying that it was Mystery here to save him but he didn't see anything. " Go see what's going on." the man instructed what seemed to be his assistant, before turning away to grab another tool that sent Kihyah screaming and trying to run away this one even more menacing then the last as it hummed to life. Then he felt a pressure on his head and then the pain set in, he wasn't numbed enough so he cried...the man only laughed and continued.

Kodak hadn't really been running after the car scent the scent he had picked up on was a bears, having confused it for the vehicle but luckily his mom was there to save him from that disaster. However when he listened to her words he pointed with his little paw to the ground. " Mom look!" he says pointing to the tracks left by the car. Amazingly enough the little tyke had been following the right path, there were deep tire tracks in the dirt where the vehicle had pulled out. He was desperate to find his family, the tug at his heart just growing and hurting him more and more the further and further his mother took him away from where he had been going. " Mom please...we have to do something." he cries, loud whines and whimpers escaped him as he did.

Susan and the other two stormed the first front room, security guards a few tried to pull their mace and taser guns but they were all quick to stun the men into submission and use the plastic ties they held in their security belts to cuff them up so they wouldn't have to worry about them later. Taking a few of the plastic ties for whatever else would come their way an assistant ran in and then was about to scurry back out when Susan's friend caught him in the back of the knee with her mop handle bringing him down quickly. " Where were you going to I wonder?" she asks peeking through the doors, " Susan! There he is...this doesn't look good come here guys I think they're doing an autopsy on his brain while he's still alive." she said sounding flabbergasted at the mere thought of it. Susan quickly made her way over and peeked through the door as well she confirmed that was exactly what their intent was, she was about to bust in when her other friend stopped her he had just finished cuffing the assistant. " Whoa now, he's got the upper hand...he's got the wolf if we just storm in there he'll kill him. We need a different approach and I think I have just the plan..." he said eyeballing a few white coats and gave them both a smile. They quickly went over and changed, hiding their weapons so as to sneak up on the guy. Now entering the room the man looks up from his work, the wolf looked like he wasn't awake anymore. " Ah...where is my assistant?" the man asks having put down the bone saw. Susan responds, " He's dealing with the matter up front, some wolf got loose and he's working on sedating her." she says getting closer. " Ah good then we have his mate?" the man asks with glee making Susan want to reach across and strangle him but she knew she still had to keep her cool. " Yes." the man turned and she took her chance her arm bent up and shot down to make the electro rod shoot down her sleeve and she activated it and caught the man in the neck. She spits on him after wards while her friend was tying him up and she quickly turned to help the poor wolf, his skull was wide open with his brain exposed and it made her shiver. She got to work instantly with the help of the air head at putting the poor guy back together when he jerked to life and he was not a happy wolf. Apparently he had devised his own plan of getting out as well for his weight was rocking the table and he was going to go crashing to the floor if he didn't stop. " WAIT!! We're here to help...it's me big guy...I got your girl in the back of my jeep we're getting out of here." she says to him and he immediately stops. " dang...he understood you." the guy says and Susan shakes her head. " No...it's impossible." she says as she numbs the poor wolf up until he couldn't feel anything and replaces the piece of missing skull before slowly moving the flap of skin back over it and suturing it. " I thought that too but there's no way a wolf could work out the human language." The brute snorted and her eyes grew big, " Did you really just understand me?" the wolf groans and she laughs, " Holy smokes I think he does!!" she says getting giddy. " Susan...we're rescuing him remember?" the air headed girl asks. " Right." Susan says getting to unstrapping the brute, they all three lift him out to the jeep carrying to rest him near where his little girl was. " See? I told you that I'd keep you both safe." Susan smiled and gave the brute a pet before closing up the jeep and hopping in with the other two. " Let's go set things right." and they started the vehicle and took off.

"Sweetheart there's nothing we can do.." The mistress choked out to her son, the words were painful as they made her heart sink and slowly her tassel had begun to tuck between her hinds as she continued to cry. Her frame ached and screamed at her along with her little boy that was begging her to just do something. For a moment she just wanted to fall and lie there, letting something, anything take her out of her misery. A roll of thunder broke her from those thoughts though, auds twitching. They were about home by the time water started to fall from the sky, only enough to leave a light mist on her back but Kodak she had been able to keep quite dry. Back inside the den the fae slowly set her son down, once letting go looking away quickly so he would see her crying if he hadn't already figured it out. She sniffled, wiping her cheeks on her shoulders before looking over, her daughter not having moved much. Leaning.down Mystery kissed Eclipse and the small pup looked up to kiss her Mother back on the nose. A weak smile formed on the mistresses lips only to fade when she turned towards the entrance of the den. The rain was pouring down now, hitting the terra with loud smacks. Sighing through her nares the fae looked back at her pups. "Stay here alright..I'm just going to sit outside." Silently the ebony femme stepped out into the cold autumn day, water pelting her coat and easily finding a way to seep down and soak her skin. She walked slowly, auds down to the sides and crown low. Once far enough away from the den, about a few yards or so the fae dropped her hinds. Out here the rain masked the fact that hot tears flooded over onto her cheeks. She sat there, motionless besides her chests gentle movements. Sitting there was unlike her, she hated the rain..her pelt was thin and water ran over betaking easily. She shivered, freezing herself but needed to be alone, if only for a few minutes. A sudden relief flooded over her at one point though, the pit of her stomach twisting but her worry didn't nearly fade. A deep breath was pulled through her maw, slowly the faes crown lifted only for a sorrowful song to pass her lips.

The pup listened to the rain on the roof of the Jeep, it sounded strange..unnatural. Sniffling she just waited for what seemed like forever, feelings abandoned by everyone at this point..she was alone. It was a long time before finally the back of the Jeep startled her, apparently having fallen asleep. The humans were always so loud and for awhile she didn't even look over. The back of the Jeep closed, making her flinch before finally moving her fore to look over. Her heart leapt seeing her Dad, laying right there close to her and the tears started up again. "Daddy...?" The babe choked, forcing herself to pull herself with her fores across the quilt towards him, using her hinds to push her. Getting to the very edge of her wire cage her tiny fore reached for her fathers face, whimpering and crying when she touched his nose.

The silver regal had endured the entire ordeal and was glad to get the heck out of there, hearing the crack of thunder over head and then the light rain hitting his pelt before he was put into the back of the jeep. He let out a deep breath that it felt like he had been holding forever, then ready to fall asleep he let his eyes close until he felt something at his nose and he looks to see his little girl. A big smile crossing his maw he licks at her paws, " Hey there baby girl...don't move, I don't want you to hurt yourself okay? These humans are going to take us home." he explains to her before he paws at the cage trying to unlatch it as he wanted to get his face closer to her. A human hand came into his line of vision and did what he couldn't, as soon as the door was open his face was in the kennel and nuzzling his little girl. " See, it's all right." he says with a soft murr in his words so happy to see her again she didn't know the kind of danger he had been in and he wasn't about to let her know since it was over now.

Kodak had watched his mom and then whimpered softly when she walked out of the den, he started after her but when she stopped just outside he stopped only to tilt his head and watch her. His heart hurt and he turned back to look at Eclipse and he bounded over to her, snuggling up with her as he didn't want to get wet by following his mom and she looked like she could use the cheering up too. Then over the rumble of thunder that caused him to jump he caught his mothers voice rising over the rain in a mournful cry. He had heard this cry before and it scared him to the point it sent shivers down his back and tears started to roll down his cheeks. It caused him to lift his head and raise his own song of sorrow.

Susan drove back to the forests of Yellowstone, she was a commander and chief now running on an adrenaline high. " Open that cage for them, I hear that pup crying back there come on you two." The guy reached back and unlatched the cage. " Alright, now we have to take them to a shelter or police station Sue..crap I mean look at that dude he's going to have a gnarly scar across his face now I mean...RAAAHHH" he slammed his hands on the dashboard of the jeep. " How could someone do something like that and not even flinch!!" he almost growled. " I know I know but that's the worst we could do...one of you should take pictures because we're not stopping...they're going home now. I should have never tried to play god but I couldn't see them suffer and now look what I did..." the adrenaline boost was now wearing off and tears were starting to fall down her face. " I almost got them both killed." The air headed girl touched her shoulder lightly, " Susan...you saved them both, don't sell yourself short and I've got enough photos to put those guys away for years..." she laughs and holds up the camera that usually dangled from her neck. " I'm the one who takes the pictures remember? Well...for a little insurance I took my opportunity to..." Susans jaw dropped as well as the guys, " What? You didn't really think I was THAT stupid do you?" they all laugh lightly before taking hold of the walls of the jeep as they bounced onto the dirt road that led close to where the wolves lived. " The collars...we'll need to get rid of them." Susan quickly remembered it was how she tracked them every time. " But...we'll never see them again..." the guy said looking back at the wolves and it caused her to look back at them through the rear view mirror for a moment. " Yeah...I know...but I think it's best." she said still gripping the wheel and she pressed on the horn blaring it as a few deer jumped to get clear of the jeep.

Eclipse looked up when her brother came to curl up beside her, she welcomed him happily glad to have him there actually. Her chin lied across his scruff, a sigh leaving her nares as her eyes closed. She heard her brothers howls before her mothers but it didn't matter, her heart still dropped. Tears finally broke her, throwing her crown back to join her brother in their mournful song.

The mistresses songs went on for a long while, until her throat was sore and she was sitting there just shivering away. Her voice died off gradually, crown low now as she stared down at the terra beneath her. Mystery sniffled, auds falling as the wind howled and another roll of thunder boomed throughout the forest just after lightning had lit the land. Slowly the lightning began more frequent and the thunder of course had to follow. It shook beneath her pads, shear power in every strike. A gasp suddenly caught the fae, crown up and auds perked. It felt like her heart had just stopped and was now thudding back to life. She had heard the Jeeps faint horn in the distance. Trembling the femme threw her crown back once more, praying that Kih could hear and would answer.

Psyches tassel thudded against her blanket when her Daddy answered her, squirming against the bars of her kennel. When he told her to sit still she just whimered happily, trying not to squirm but she was crying again just so happy she wasn't alone. "Daddy...-" she started but was cut off by him trying to get in her cage so she waited, watchimg to human open it for them and she whined, burying herself against her Fathers cheek and rubbing her face against his over and over. "Don't leave again Daddy..." she finally finished, tears streaking her cheeks still.

Kihyah softly cried, as his tail thudded loudly against the Jeeps back end. " I won't leave you sweetie I promise...I'm so sorry I hurt you..this is all my fault." he says feeling terrible for the predicament he had gotten his family in. He heard Mystery's voice finally now that the Jeeps horn had stopped blaring to announce their arrival and his ears perked. " You hear that? Your mothers waiting patiently for our return..." he smiles, " I bet your brother and sister are looking forward to seeing you too. We must be close..." he says but doesn't respond to Mystery's request for information, between the roar of the jeeps engine and the claps of thunder overhead he wasn't sure she'd hear him anyways since he had barely even heard her.

Kodak continued his sorrow filled song with Eclipse until he was hoarse and couldn't cry anymore so he turns and buries he face into his sisters fur. " They'll be okay...they just have to be." he says trying more to convince himself then his sister but he bounced up to wrap his fores around her wanting to be close when he caught his mothers new call. He moves and bounds to the entrance of the cave, " What does she see?!" he says desperate to know what was going on.

Susan drove, turning on the windshield wipers as more and more rain came, it was a pretty bad storm but fall did tend to bring the rain around there not just spring. " You have that tracker up cause it's getting harder to find the road here..." she asked as she strained to make out which way to go. The guy pointed left, " That direction, they're not far now just a few miles out from here." he explained before the air head voiced in, " Aww look at those two...I need a picture of them before we completely unload them...for showing to the police so they believe us...but I'll make copies for all of us as a reminder of these guys." She said right before they hit a bump and they all bounced lightly in their seats. " Just about there!...turn here!!" the guy yells over the next clap of thunder.

Eclipse rose to her pads quickly as Kodak had ran over to the entrance of the den and she trotted over to stand beside him. Looking out she could barely see anything through the rain, it was dark too and she could barely even make up the shape of her mothers frame. A sudden flash of lightning made her yelp, shuffling back to lay back down deeper inside the den.

Mysterys auds perked once her voice had died off once more, thunder crashing above her head as she begged silently for her Kih to answer. Her frame ached, her chest slowly moving to breathe and that was the only movement that came from her. Several minutes she waited, tears rolling down her face constantly the longer she waited. Finally, not being able to take it anymore she collapsed onto the wet grasses, defeated. She lied there, crying silently and it someone didn't know and better she would appear dead there, rain pelting her harshly and her orbs slowly closed.

The pup smiled at the thought of being home, a soft content such actually leaving her for a moment. Still rubbing her face all over her Daddy she murred softly. She didn't blame him for anything that had happened, it wasn't his fault. Burying her face in his cheek fur the little thing sighed giving out a soft I love you to him.

" I love you too sweetie." he gives her crown a soft lick, careful of where the human had worked on her. The jeep came to a halt and he started to move away from his little girl, " I'm gonna check for your mom and let her know we're here." he tells her before he pops his head up out of the cage and over the tailgate of the jeep he wouldn't admit it to anyone but he couldn't see anything anymore something that person had done had left this haze in his eyes of course his eyesight had been horrible to begin with but he had to get that close to Psyche to even see his little pup now. So he couldn't make out his mate laying still in the rain and he just howled to let her know they had made it safe and sound. However the humans were starting to panic and when he finally made out what they were saying he started to worry too.

Kodak didn't run from the clap of thunder but when his sister left his side to go cower in the back of the cave he quickly joined her. " Hey wait!! It's okay it's just a noise." he says licking her face to try and calm his sister. He rubbed into her not wanting her to be afraid and then he heard that monster of a jeep outside then shortly after his fathers howl and his tail started to wag. " THEY MADE IT ECLIPSE!!" he hops up so happy and excited that he ran back to the entrance and shook in anticipation for their arrival.

Susan finally saw the den and she almost didn't see Mystery, " HOLY LOOK OUT SUSAN!!" the guy reached his foot over and stomped on the break. Just coming to a halt right in front of the onyx mistress, " That was too close...what is she...oh no.." Susan said seeing no movement from the fae, " Come on girl...get up...please don't tell me I hit her." The guy shook his head, " We didn't..it was close but we didn't." They all moved forward in their seats on edge as they heard the males howl behind them and Susan white knuckled the steering wheel after shutting the jeep off in anticipation for the fae to move. " Move...come on...you guys see anything?" Susan asks the rain so heavy now it was hard to see more then a foot in front of them and the darkness didn't help much. " Throw on the headlights." the air headed girl suggested and she flashed on the lights immediately.

The mistress woke slowly after the light was flashed on, a whimper leaving the fae as her mind just seemed cloudy. Her auds rang painfully, her orbs opening slowly as she tried to regain herself. Her pupils instantly contracted, the amber that surrounded it becoming all the more apparent along with the deep jade that engulfed it. The fae stared up at the humans, her frame aching as she lied there. Pulling herself slowly up onto her peds the femme whined, shaking like a leaf atop her peds as the rain still pelted her bodice and her auds fell to the sides.


"Okay Daddy" Psyche mumbled, setting her chin down a top her blankets and watching her Dad, it was loud outside with the rain but she could hear the voices of the humans in front. They didn't sound very happy and it made her stomach knot up slightly even though she didn't understand what all they were saying. Squirming there on the quilt she whined softly to her Dad, wondering what was going on as he seemed to understand.

Meanwhile Eclipses auds perk hearing her brothers exclamation that announced everyones arrival back. Bounding up onto her peds she trotted over beside Kodak, trying to see through the pouring rain as her tassel whipped their hinds.

The silver regal licked his pup once to calm her, before he hopped out of the jeep. Almost face planting in the mud from his lack of vision now he had to regain himself and his surroundings through scent and sound which was all the more difficult in the hard rain. It made scents drop and pounded a steady beat in his ears other then his own hearts rhythm, he moved slowly looking for Mystery even though he knew it was impossible. He was a proud male and unwilling to admit to his own weakness now more then ever, " Mystery?" he barked out once knowing she had to be close and perhaps she could see him already. He certainly hoped so, his heart started to race suddenly in his chest as he thought about what the humans said.

Kodak watched in anticipation from the doorway and saw his dad first, he was the most noticeable wolf when it was dark like this outside since his coat was always those light tones of grays and whites that made him up. " LOOK ITS DAD!!" he started to yip happily and turned to his sister to give her a lick to the cheek in excitement that his family seemed to be home. " Wait...I don't see Psyche..." he says as his demeanor falls then, scared his little sister hadn't made it back.

Susan watched as the large wolf jumped from the back of the jeep, the three humans watched as the male searched for his mate who was almost right in front of him. Susan's heart dropped as she realized something was wrong with the wolf. " Oh no..." her sadness webbed into her words as a few tears streaked her face. The others looked at her with some shock but were still just as hurt by this as she was. " I thought we got to him in time." the guy half whispers as if to speak what was wrong would just admit it was true. " Poor thing..." the air headed girl whimpered softly. " You know there's nothing we can do for him.." the guy says placing a soft caring hand on Susan's shoulder who just nodded and stared out through the rain coated window.

The fae was in a daze, her auds still rang in her crown and it hurt. Everything hurt. Her bones hurt, her chest, her head. But the second her mates voice hit her auds the daze faded and she instantly turned, a whimper left her though as her muscles screamed not to move but she did anyways. Kih was easy to find, his coat stuck out so much and as soon as she was close enough she buried her crown into his neck and whined, glad to have him back but she still ached horribly. "Are you okay? Where's Psyche?" The femme whimpered out, backing up slightly but staying close enough that he could feel her close as she knew he couldn't see very well in the rain.

Psyche waited quietly in the Jeep, flickering her auds a few times when she heard her Mothers voice faintly through the rain and a soft happy whimper left her as she squirmed softly in her blanket. Slowly she pulled herself onto her peds, shuffling forward slightly and her back hurt a little but it wasn't bad. She yipped a few times, getting all shaky all alone now as she shifted on her pads.

Eclipse saw her Dad just as her brother had, whimpering happily as she squirmed inside the cave and almost bounded around Kodak in her happiness. When he mentioned not seeing Psyche though her heart dropped, Sabine escaping her before she spoke, her tassel having stopped moving all together. "Maybe...maybe she's still in the big smelly thing.." she suggested, truly hoping she was right.

Kihyah was so glad to feel her close to him, her scent instantly in his nose as he buried his face in her ebony pelt. It felt so good to be home, so much so he had almost forgotten about the jeep, humans and his little girl until his lover left him to speak. He smiles and nods gently prodding his nose towards where he had just come from, the headlights were something he could make out at least and so he turned towards it to find the back of the jeep. He hops up to stand on his hinds so he could curl his fores over the back of the jeep and lean his head down towards Psyche. " Mom's here to see you." he said as his tail slowly wagged behind his hinds.

Kodak couldn't stand it anymore, he was just too impatient and he yipped at his father and mother seeing them reunite he stops, tilting his head to the side and taking in what he was witnessing. Two wolves so deeply in love with one another that everything around them seemed to stand still for a moment and Kodak gasped at how amazing it was. The rain seemed to slow in its fall, the voices of the humans seemed faint and far off. He knew in his heart that one day, one day he would have a mate that loved him just as much as they loved each other. The little pupper seemed to snap out of it only to turn to Eclipse and smile then yip at her. " Let's go see." he hopped up and down as the memory of that moment faded into his mind like putting away a photo in ones mind.

The occupants of the jeep let out a collective sigh of relief as they saw the silver males mistress move finally, when they reunited the entire jeep almost broke out in tears. The air thick with emotion they all started to hug one another, happy they had saved the family they had been studying for almost a year now. But as the time drew on and the wolves looked in on their pup they all began to realize it was time for their final goodbyes. Their hearts sank but one by one they filed out the jeep to help get the little one out and into the den, they did after all still have to get in touch with the authorities and report what had been happening in that facility that was supposed to be protecting the wolves lives not endangering them. Susan pet the male and scratched his ear, " I'll miss you the most big guy.." the hard rain covered her tears as the rest pet him and said their goodbyes as well while Susan prepared to move the pup to the den.

Mystery followed her Kih quietly around to the back of the Jeep, watching as he stood on his hinds to speak to Psyche. The fae bounded up onto the bed of the Jeep, smiling seeing her littlest laying there across the quilts and she instantly was kissing her crown. Her tassel swayed heavily against her hinds, rubbing her muzzle gently up and down her pup in her loving greeting go her. Kissing over her stitches the fae was examining her at the same time, making sure her girl wasn't hurt in any way. Her aud twisted hearing the humans come out and she soon saw Susan near them, watching her pet her Kih before she started to move to pick up Psyche. Before she could though Myst cut her off, standing infront of the other female as she stared at her for a few moments. Then, without warning, the fae pressed her crown against Susan's cheek in a thankful nuzzle, her pelt still drenched but she had forgotten for the moment.

Psyches little tail whipped her hips seeing her Mother, happy whines escaping her as she received her Moms affection and every now and then she would run her little tongue across her mothers wet fur and rub her head against her a couple times. When her Mom moved away she whined softly but watched as she thanked the human that had fixed her back, whether she had liked it or not, she was thankful too.

Eclipse couldn't see through the rain as well as her brother, twitching her auds as she tried to make out shapes and figures in the distance. Looking over at Kodak when he said Lays go she blinked, really not wanting to get wet and it looked like everyone would be coming back in just a minute anyways. "Mom said to stay here Kodak.. They'll come in soon don't worry."

The silver regal watched as his mate nuzzled the human, he snorted at the thought of it but understood his lovers need to show her appreciation towards the woman. He got down and shook his head to rid it of the thick wetness that had taken over due to the rain, he loved the rain most times but this was cold and easily drenched ones fur in a matter of minutes. He started towards where he thought the den was knowing the humans would have to carry their pup back into their humble home, he ran smack into a bush and backed out shaking his head before attempting again knowing Mystery would be distracted with bringing the babe inside more then him. He was a proud male and didn't want her to see that the Alpha male she cherished and loved was now blind as a bat. His ear twisted and he ducked as a small branch creaked above his head, he was surprised and happy when he felt a small pup near his leg guiding him home.

"But-" Kodak whined, no one in this place is any fun he thought to himself. He wouldn't be content sitting in the back like Eclipse was but sat his hind down onto the entrance floor to stare out and watch. He couldn't make out much of what was happening by the jeep but when he saw the outline of his father move and start heading towards him he couldn't contain his butt from quickly picking itself up from the floor to let his little tail move it as he waited. But what he saw confused him, first his dad ran into the bush. After that his dad looked like he didn't know where he was going and he whimpered, " Dad..." he ran out dodging mud puddles and large rain puddles as he sprinted towards his father concerned for him. As he ran there he saw his dad duck from a creaking tree branch that was feet above his head and he knew something was wrong. He got to his dad and there was nothing, not a get back to the den Kodak or anything and he realized he father couldn't see him. He whimpered under the crack of thunder as he stood tall next to his dads front right paw and started to lead him forward through the storm.

Susan near had a heart attack when the black fae had nuzzled into her face, the air headed girl screamed as usual to any situation that scared her while her other friend just kind of smiled. " Um...you're welcome." she said before moving away from the onyx mistress, the silver regal had moved giving her the needed space to take up the little one in her arms. " I'm just going to move her home." she told the fae, her mind was already working away at how she could possibly be a part of these wolves lives...even though she knew it was impossible. She sighed softly as the realization left her feeling a little empty inside, she had grown to know these wolves and love them...now she would have to say good bye.

The fae had whimpered and cringed back when the air headed girl had screamed, her head still throbbed in pain and it had caused her auds to fold back as she stepped away from Susan. Mystery watched the human pick up her littlest, jumping down out of the Jeep and when her paws hit the damp ground she actually stumbled, having to regain herself as she could suddenly feel the ache that she had been ignoring slowly creeping out through her frame. The mistress tredded slowly back to the den, at Susans heels as they were about to slide inside. Chilled to the bone the fae could feel herself trembling now, shivering hard but it was hard to tell with the rain pelting them. A boom of thunder startled her and an almost inaudible whimper had escaped her as she almost slipped climbing into her den. It had been a long day and the femme was looking forward to it being over.

Being picked up Psyche squirmed just softly in the humans arms, whining as she didn't feel safe up there in the air and her back hurt slightly for her trying to hold into the females clothing. Some rain hit her and she curled up slightly, trying to protect herself from the cold drops. Suddenly being set in her den her tassel started to sway softly and she was soon greeted by her big sister and happy whimpers escaped her as they both kissed each others face.
