Getting away from moon cliff

When Vita told Sephera he loved her to, her heart pounded and she couldn't stop a smile from spreading across her face. She didn't think she'd ever get used to that feeling she got whenever he told her this. It made her feel as though she was on cloud nine or higher. He rubbed his muzzled in her fur, causing her to giggle at the feeling, then when his muzzle was buried, he relaxed and went still. She watched him for awhile, just looking. She could tell he was hers to have, and hers only. Not only were they bonded by this connection thing, but they're bonded by heart. His presence had her relaxed and open. Open...

Sephera hadn't been this open with anyone before. She had talked more than ever with Vita, without even thinking about it. She said more to him in a day then she has in the past year or so of her LIFE. Ever since... Ever since she left her pack, she had been quiet. Most of the brutes she would pass on her journey to nowhere noticed that, and tried to take advantage of her. Little did they know, they had a fighter on their hands. She fought back, clawing and biting, and the look of surprise when they did made her feel good. If they didn't back off by then, she actually wouldn't be afraid to kill them. Word traveled, and many called her "Shadow Killer" because she was so silent, her kills so smooth and clean. She became known as a murderer, which got her into many fights, and caused her to not be able to find a place to stay for even a night. That's how she started to starve. She would stay in a pack's land one night or so at a time, and they would be nice enough to feed her, give her a home. Or rather, a house.

But as soon as she became known as a murderer, she wasn't allowed in to any pack lands. And the packs had claimed all the good hunting grounds. So she never got food anymore. That's how she got weaker, skinnier, and even more unhealthy. But her feet never stopped walking. During day and night, she continued on to nowhere. Then, Blossom Forest. The only pack land she was easily allowed into. Many wolves gave her looks. Males gave her weird looks, while females gave her worried looks. Some tried to approach her, but she shied away and kept walking. Then she found Moon Cliff. The moon was out, and bright, and it reflected off the water. Water. Just what she needed. She loped to it, drinking in some but bathing in the warm water. It felt good to get at least the dirt off her at least. There, she met Vita. A friendly brute whom cut open his paw (she have to check that soon). It was the first person she helped, yet she was still wary due to the fact that he was indeed another brute.

Sephera hadn't noticed that silent tears had started streaming down her face as she thought.

Sephera was shocked when Vita asked the reason for her crying. Sure enough, she felt moisture on her cheeks. She sniffed, rubbing her cheek on her paw as Vita rubbed his muzzle on her neck as comfort. She opened her eyes again to see Vita's beautiful orbs staring into hers. She blinked back further tears. "I was just thinking," she whispered, her voice gone hoarse from crying. She wasn't lying, she was thinking. She just didn't mention what she was thinking about. It was painful to think of her past, but it needed to be done in order for her to move past it.

Sephera reassured Vita that she was fine, but he didn't like it. She was upset, but if she wanted him to know why she would have told him directly. He respected that. After a short hesitation, he mewed out a quick "okay" and laid his head back down. Soothed by Sephera's soft coat, he slowly drifted into a deep slumber.

Sephera was about to open her mouth to speak again when she head his breathing slow. He was asleep. She chuckled very softly so as to not disturb Vita's slumber. She continued to think, her thoughts moving from what she was thinking of earlier, to the last conversation she had with her adoptive parents, to a million other things that could possibly cross her mind. She wasn't going to get any sleep yet.

Even though he used an extremely gentle and soothing, Vita whispering in her ear still frightened Sephera and made her jump. She took a deep breath to calm her racing heart as his words registered in her mind. She nuzzled him in thanks for offering in the first place. "I know i can trust you... I just dont want to burden you with my problems," she told him, but she knew he wouldn't let her get away with that. She sighed. "Fine. I was thinking of... well, my past," she whispered, averting her eyes to the den's wall once again. She wanted to tell it all to him, to rant, to spill it out, to tell him every little detail. But, if it's so hard on her, how hard would it be on him? To know that every day your mate (or whatever you would call their relationship) is hurting inside? And that you can't stop it?

Sephera began, but only spoke one sentence. She brought up her past, and Vita felt a bit better. The past is something that you aren't in control of. He rubbed his head on Sephera's back, in a way that just seems to calm a wolf down. He spoke softly, but with a lot of emphasis. "The past is the past, you can't change it now. No matter what happened in your past, there's no changing it now, so there's no use worrying about it. Focus on your future." He stopped for a moment, laid his head right next to hers. "Tell me everything."

Sephera smiled at Vita's first words and how he emphasized that she should focus on the future and the present, not the past. She nuzzled her head into his when he laid right next to her. But his next words surprised her. He wanted to know? What was she gonna do now? She had a shocked expression as she spoke incredulously. "Are-Are you sure? It's a bit of a brutal truth." She took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "And... I don't the truth to hurt you everyday like it hurts me. I don't want you to go through that."

Sephera still hesitated when Vita requested she tell him everything. She seriously didn't want to burden him, but he didn't seem like he would mind if she did. So, she took a deep breath to try and stop her trembling. It worked for the most part, but she still buried her nose in his fur and took another breath. Her tense muscles relaxed, and then she seemed to feel numb. Once this emotion took over completely, she began her story. She told him everything, from her pack's death, to her life of running and being attacked, to her state of numbness, to her state of utter exhaustion, to every little detail she could possibly tell him to the point of when she first met him. She would've even continued on about how she felt when they first met, and how her feelings progressed to the love she feels now, but she shut her mouth as she noticed the fur on her cheeks were wet from tears.

(Dow, I made that pack before Vita and Sephera had met, so would Sephera be part of the pack? Especially with the connected souls thing that's going on? Sephera began to unravel her long, saddening life-story. She had been terribly mistreated and branded a murderer because of something she had to do to defend herself, and when she had met Vita she had hoped to start new and gain a friend, but it ended up as something more than that. He continued to listen intently, until she abruptly stopped at the point in which Vita had come along. He knew better than try to temp her into telling more, mainly because she had been crying already, and he already knew how she had felt about him.

"I... I'm sorry..." Was all he said at first, but after a moment he continued. "Now I understand why you didn't want to tell me, but don't worry about that. our eyes are in the front of our head so we can look forward, not to the past." He really didn't have much else to say, so he pressed himself against her as an attempt to comfort her.

(I do believe Sephera would be part of the pack. What position though? o: And it's alright, great to have you back ^^)


Sephera listened to Vita's words and took them to heart. She needed to stop looking back. She needed to look forward from now on. Sobbing into his shoulder as her heart ached, she tried her hardest to cast her memories into the small locked box in the back of her head where they were before. That way, she wouldn't think of them constantly, but she still had them when need be.

She sniffled as a little moisture threatened to drip down her muzzle, shuddering slightly as she took a deep breath. It took a little amount of time before she was calm, her eyes stopped tearing, and the only sign that she had cried were her sniffles, her red eyes, and her pulsing headache. She moaned lightly at it before pressing into Vita more than before. She hoped he hadn't felt the overwhelming pain and sadness she had felt as she told him her story.

(Shall I notify Lanrox that we are ready to battle?)

Vita had still been lying awake when Sephera pressed into him more for comfort. He was only saddened now by seeing her grief, but she seemed to be calming down. He pressed back towards her. He decided to stay awake for a short while, at least until Sephera's sadness had gone. He licked the top of her head affectionately, then closed his eyes in wait. Even in his attempt to resist the temptation to sleep, he was slumbering in a few moments.

Sephera was grateful for Vita's being there for her, being her stable thing to lean on. He licked her head and she shut her eyes, a gentle smile on her muzzle. Suddenly, she heard his breathing deepen and slow. He was asleep. Sephera chuckled before putting her head on his back. "I love you," she whispered before letting a deep, deep sleep take over her.

(They are alphas I guess, since they are the only pack-members)

Vita's eyes slowly began to blink open. Sephera was still asleep, and he heard the soft pitr-patr of light rain outside the den. He gently stood up, careful as to not awake Sephera. She was graceful when she slept. Vita smiled and made his way out of the den, into the rain. He sucked some air into his nostrils deeply to pick up as much scent as he could. A heron had been here recently, probably fishing in the lake before the rain started. The sun hadn't risen over the horizon yet, so he noted that he might encounter some nocturnal hunters when he left to catch breakfast. Sephera probably wouldn't be awake for a good while, so Vita was in no need to hurry.

Vita quietly made his way through the forest. It was a rather large wooded area, he never knew what lied beyond it. As he traveled over various obstacles, he sniffed the ground for scents of prey. He gazed into the sky and noticed an owl flying ahead, and decided he would follow it- owls have senses even more keen than a wolf's, it would probably find some small game rather quickly. As he followed, he picked up the scent trail of some sort of deer.

It was an easy catch. The whitetail deer he was dragging in his mouth back toward the den was wounded and couldn't run. Its glorious scent made Vita's mouth water, but he wanted to eat with Sephera, especially because of the story they had shared the night before. Sephera probably still would not have recovered from the sorrow.

Lunar saw a wolf and watched it carfully he knew he was downwind of the wolf but the wind was about to change so he was clearly visible when the wind changed,he knew he would be clearly visble he was a black wolf that looked like a skunk in the daytime so he just sat and waited for an attack.

Sephera blinked open her heavy eyelids, drawing in a deep shuddering breath. It filled her lungs, puffing out her ribcage, before blowing back out slowly. She lifted her head, scanning the den. She was startled to notice that Vita was nowhere to be seen. Heart pounding a little harder, she bolted to a standing position. She trotted, well... more like stumbled, out of the den. A gentle rain dripped onto her pelt, and she raised her head to the sky. The light gray reflected her mood. Slightly dark and dull, but still mainly light.

A raindrop fell on her cheek, beneath her eye, and followed the same trail down her face as her tears the night before. She smiled before fixing her green (i think they were green...) eyes on the forest in front of her. The scent was delightful, the trees mixed with the freshness of a new rain. The trees' needles and leaves had captured lonely raindrops, and they slowly fell to the ground.

Sephera let out a short, sharp bark and waited for one in reply. Vita had to be around here somewhere, he had to be...

Vita was right past the entrance to the forest when a loud bark startled him. He knew instantly that it was Sephera's. He barked back an "I'm here" before he broke through to the clearing. He saw Sephera standing in the open, but there was something else- yes, that was another wolf out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head and glared at it and made his way towards Sephera. He whispered into her ear, "Attack or invite?" asking whether to react hostile or friendly.

Lunar noticed a wolf and walked towards it"arent you going to attack me like every one else?"he asked when he was a foot away from the wolf.

Sephera glanced at Vita, relieved that she found him, before locking her eyes on the stranger. Her ears perked at the stranger's words. "Let's find out who he is, see what he's like, and then decide," she whispered in Vita's ear. "For now, be neutral."

Luner was a eaceful wolf so he just waited.
