| Vita walked over to the bed in the den, laying down without a noise. Why was Sephera angry with him? He was trying to be a good friend, telling her his worries, letting her know everything he did. He heard faint clawing sounds, but he was too upset to really process it. He lied his head between his forepaws and began to whimper, hoping that she would forgive him. | |

| When Sephera had cooled off and relaxed, she dried off her coat and padded back to the den. She entered silently, her head ducked down and looking at her paws. She heard Vita whimpering and her guilt grew. Slowly, she looked up from her paws and at him. "Sorry," she whispered. Her word drifted through the air between the two of them, almost echoing in the near silent den. | |

| He hadn't even heard her enter, and Vita jumped as soon as he heard Sephera apologize. He could tell by the tone of her voice that she felt bad, but didn't like apologizing. He could relate; apologizing is admitting that you are wrong. He sat and stared at her for a moment, then broke out of haze and turned his head to the side, gesturing acceptance. The sun was disappearing, and the moon was breaking the horizon. He hadn't realized how tired he was until night. He was hoping Sephera was actually sorry and not apologizing out of pity. He still felt as if he did something wrong, but didn't understand. | |

| Sephera shuffled her paws under his stare, nervous that he wouldn't accept her apology. She almost sighed in relief when he gestured his acceptance. She padded over to him, running her muzzle against his fur lightly. She sat beside him, glancing at the rising moon. When she did so, energy ran through her body once again. It confused her, how just seeing the moon could change her from dead-tired to fully awake and active. What was it about the moon that made her like this? It wasn't right! ... Then again, she was called 'Daughter of the Moon' in her dream... But that isn't possible! How could the moon have a daughter? Sephera shuddered softly. | |

| Vita's restlessness began to disappear when he felt Sephera's gentle fur brush up against his. As she sat down beside him, he instantly felt better, and he relaxed. He felt her muscles tense and relax multiple times, and knew that something was bothering her. He wanted to start a conversation to help her take her mind off of it, but he couldn't think of anything to say that wouldn't possibly anger her anymore, so he just snuggled closer to her. | |

| Sephera smiled as Vita snuggled closer to her and nuzzled his jaw softly. Guilt gnawed at her gut and she knew she had to tell him. "So, I had this dream...." she whispered softly, scared how he was going to take it. Would he be mad? Would he be sad she didn't tell him sooner? Would he be able to help her figure out the dream? | |

| Vita felt her return his affection. She began to say something- about a dream, and suddenly knew why she was so upset earlier. She had had a dream that she didn't understand, either- but wasn't sure she wanted to talk yet. He turned his head and watched her, waiting happily for her to tell him the story. | |

| Sephera took a deep breath, then just let it out. "I trotted to the lake's edge, looking at my reflection in the water. The moon was an exact replica of the marking on my shoulder and I tilted my head up to look at it. Then, I howled to the night. And the night responded. The trees bristled and the lake lightly crashed its waves onto the shore. My marking burned with a fire but I-I soaked it in and shut my eyes. A large flash erupted from my mark and the scene went white.
I walked cautiously through the never-ending white. A large white wolf stepped in front of me. 'Daughter of the Moon. I have come to bring you a message. You and the male slumbering next to you, you are linked. You must ignore the burning of your mark and howl together if you would like to have that connection forever. Only then will you know the effects of the link. I can not tell you them now, for I have limited time. I must go. Goodbye Daughter of the Moon.'"
I finished telling him, looking outside to avoid looking at Vita.

| Vita sat, shocked. He didn't say anything, but he could feel that Sephera already knew how he felt. His eyes didn't move for a short while, but after her words had passed through his mind, he spoke quietly. "Well... That's a good thing, right?" He gazed up at her uneasily. This obviously meant something, otherwise they wouldn't have seen the large white wolf in their dreams, at the same times. But why? Why were they linked? Why was she called the 'Daughter of the moon?' why must they howl together? This doesn't make any sense! | |

| "Is it a good thing? You tell me. Cause to me, it's a good thing for us to be linked. But I'm not sure if I want the responsibility of being Daughter of the Moon. That's a big title, and I'm not sure if I deserve it," she whimpered. She was glad and relieved by Vita's words, but she wasn't sure about the rest of her dream. And what kind of link was the one the wolf was talking of? And did this link have to do with Vita's dream as well? | |

| (Sorry it's been so long)
Vita could feel Sephera's nervousness. She was slightly shaking, but after a short while she began to calm. "But what does that title mean?" He asked. Vita was never really one to wait to know the answer; he had to know now. Before she could speak again, he began to speak again. "Well... should we... howl together? You know, just to see what happens?" He wasn't exactly sure he wanted to howl together, because he was scared. Would they be a normal couple of wolves? Would there be this- this strange thing that would change their lives forever? He wanted to be a normal wolf, to hunt, own territory, have pups and start a pack. If something did happen, would he be able to live this normal life?

| As Vita spoke, Sephera wondered what the title meant as well. How could someone be a daughter of the moon? The moon is a planet, not a wolf! So how is it possible for the moon to have a daughter? Is there a wolf representative for the moon? Vita's next words sounded hesitant, as if he wasn't sure he wanted to howl with her. And she completely understood. When Vita first met her and fell for her, he was probably expecting a normal, calm relationship. To be honest, so did she. But that dream ruined it. Sephera took a breath, then quietly spoke, "Do you want to? Because I'm guessing you want a normal life, a normal relationship." She took a deep breath, sighing softly as she admitted her next words to herself. "I can't give that to you. I can't give you a normal relationship anymore. If you care about that, then... it would be best if you just walk away now." It cracked her heart, saying those words. But they needed to be said.

| (It's fine, honestly I prefer referring to people by their real names, too. Mine's Evan, and I can tell yours by your signature. Again, sorry about the long wait time inbetween posts, hectic life.)
Vita could tell by the tone of her voice that Sephera understood how he felt. He knew deep down that he loved her and didn't want to leave her; but then again, he was a wolf, not some higher life-form. After a second of staring at the ground, he understood that the choice was clear. He slowly raised to all fours, and stared up at Sephera. (She is standing, right?) He slowly moved forward and rubbed cose next to her. After a moment of silence he said, "let's see what happens."

| (It's nice to meet you Evan. Yeah, i get what you mean. My life's been pretty hectic too. And yes, i do believe she is standing :D)
Sephera looked at him, shocked as he said he wanted to see what happened. On the inside, she was nervous. What if he did decide to leave her after they howl together? What if them howling together injured her? Would it burn worse than last time? Last time hurt bad enough to make her yelp out. What would this time do? She licked his cheek, quietly thanking him, and walked hesitantly from the den on trembling legs.

| Vita didn't even have to try to sense how nervous Sephera was. All of her movement was shaky and uneven. He was nervous, too, but he never really showed nerve. he walked over next to her, then whispered in her ear. "Don't worry, we're in this together." He hesitated for a second, but then took a step out into their territory. He trotted out by the lake, and peered into the still, blue water for a short-lived moment. They were about to do this, to enter... well, he didn't exactly know what he was getting himself into, but that didn't matter. He was with Sephera, and he knew that she wouldn't leave him, and he wouldn't leave her. he threw his head back and gazed up towards the sky, and noticed that the moon was a bright, vivid bluish tint, along with all of the surrounding stars. He lowered his head and turned to Sephera, ready for whatever was about to happen. | |

| Sephera calmed when Vita whispered in her ear, and she found it much easier to move. She walked fluidly over to the water's edge, following Vita's lead. She looked into the water, looking at her own reflection. The moon was bright overhead and it made her eyes look silvery, which confused her. Why would her eyes look silver when their original color isn't even close? She then looked up at the moon above her and sucked in a breath. For an instance, she swore she saw the white wolf's face on the moon, but when she blinked it was gone. Sephera quickly glanced at Vita to see if he saw the same thing, but he showed no signs of having seen it. He was looking only at her, and it caused her cheeks to softly heat.
"Ready?" she whispered, the word floating over to Vita gently.

| Vita's nerves calmed as Sephera told him she was ready. "let's go." He turned and threw back his head, letting out a clean, smooth howl. Time seemed as if it had slowed down. What was about to happen? Would anything happen?
(sorry about the short post, I'm not really sure what you want to happen here, so go ahead and take over.)

| For a moment, Sephera just listened to Vita's howl, admiring him. Then she raised her snout, looked the moon straight in the eye, and howled cleanly and beautifully. Her shoulder seared with heat, but she didn't let her howl or gaze waver. The pain got steadily worse, but she ignored it the best she could. After what seemed like forever, a bright flash like the moon exploding hit her eyes. She collapsed, unconscious.
As she lay there, her breathing was even. And, for some reason, she felt a strong sense of worry. But she herself wasn't worried about anything. So why did she feel worried. A sudden realization came to her. She wasn't worried. Vita was. She could... She could feel his emotions.

| After a moment of listening to his own howl, he heard Sephera's howl chime in with him. They howled together for short while, but then... Well, he didn't know what happened next. All he knew was that there was some sort of explosion, which knocked him unconscious for... well again, he didn't exactly know how long. His eyes began to twitch open, and the blur that he did see at first was nothing but white, with the wolf that he had fallen for laying motionless. He didn't think much of all of this at first.
As he finished hazing into consciousness, Vita began to realize what was happening. His closest friend- his mate, even, if he could refer to her as that- had howled with him, and, something strange happened. He had no idea what, but he wasn't sure he wanted to know any more. He needed to be with Sephera. He pulled himself to his feet, wobbly made his way towards her through the open white, and then dropped down next to her as gently as he could.

| Sephera was stuck in the haze of white, and she didn't know how to get out. She ran every which way, but her body felt heavy. She knew she was still unconscious, but how long would it last? The white wolf suddenly emerged in front of her, but this time it had a crescent moon of gray over its left eye. Sephera whimpered, dropping into a bow. "Rise," the wolf told her, and she did so. "Now, you and Vita have chosen the path of howling together. The two of you are bonded now. You can read each other's emotions in separate ways just as you can occasionally read each other's thoughts if they are strong enough. The two of you are linked by soul. I must go no, Daughter of the Moon, but we shall see each other soon."
With that, the wolf touched its muzzle to her marking on her shoulder, and it erupted into black.
Sephera shot up from laying on her side to laying on her stomach, gasping for air. She looked around to see the lake and the trees and Vita laying next to her. She was about to lean into him, then stopped herself. What if he didn't like what had just happened to them? She glanced down at the marking on her shoulder to see the crescent moon a brilliant white.

| Vita had no idea how to feel. He felt... Nervous, but also scared. Was it possible to feel two different ways at once? What was actually happening? Was Sephera seeing something that he wasn't? When would she wake up? What had he gotten himself into? He turned and gazed at Sephera. She was unconscious, and he longed for her to awake. He needed his closest friend to help him through this... Or maybe he needed to help her through it?
Another explosion. This time, he wasn't knocked unconscious; instead, he was sitting next to Sephera, out by the lake. She was sitting up, but didn't move. He turned and looked at her, and nuzzled her shoulder. He stopped for a moment, and muttered a line, almost muffled by Sephera's fur. "Wha... What just happened?"

| Vita nuzzled her shoulder, and she took in a breath but showed not reaction otherwise. On the inside, her heart pounded and her whole body warmed from just that small gesture of reassurance and... love? Nah, he couldn't possibly love a silent, masochistic fae like her. I mean, her parents didn't love her enough to stay with her, so why should anyone love her?
Sephera shook herself from her thoughts just in time to hear Vita's question. In response, she gently said, "We are linked by soul. We can... feel each other's emotions and read each other's thoughts if they are strong enough." She decided to just lay it on him, and let him soak it in. Sharp pain rather than long, drawn out torture.

| After a moment of silence, Sephera muttered out something that Vita didn't come close to understand. 'Linked by soul?' 'Feel each other's emotions and thoughts?' What? He raised his head out of Sephera's fur, and stared into her face. She wouldn't lie to him; she was either insane, or telling the truth. If she was telling the truth, then was that why he had felt two ways at once? Was that why she had been so much easier to read than other wolves? a few moments of silence had passed, and neither of them had moved. He slowly stood up, and left towards the den with a short nuzzle to Sephera's shoulder. Maybe if he thought about it for a little while, he would begin to understand. | |

| When Vita left is when Sephera broke down. One tear streamed down her face and she looked down at the water. Her reflection looked back at her and she growled, swiping a paw across it to mar the image. She didn't want to see herself as more tears, both sad and furious, ran down her cheeks. Vita left her (in a sense). That meant he didn't like what she told him. Or was he just thinking it over. She felt a strong sense of confusion, which she knew wasn't her own. So maybe he was just soaking in the info. But that didn't stop Sephera from collapsing onto the ground and laying her head on her paws as the droplets of water cascaded down onto the ground. | |

| After a short while of trying to understand... Whatever was happening, he decided to embrace it with an open mind. He was about to exit the den and ask Sephera some questions, but then, a wave of sadness and grief hit him. He whispered in his head, "...Am I feeling what Sephera's feeling?" A sudden crash of guilt overcame the grief. He never meant to hurt her, he just needed some time to understand it!
Vita wasn't in the den very long. As soon as he poked his head out the opening, what he saw was worse than what he had at first thought. She had fallen to the ground crying. Tears were streaming down her face. Vita almost cried just seeing her like this. He quickly jogged over to Sephera and laid down beside her, pressing against her to try to help calm her. He quickly spoke up. "Sephera..." He hesitated for a moment. "I love you."
