Titus slowly but surely falls asleep, his breathing just gradually getting slower and deeper the more relaxed he had become before finally it turned into the light breathing of a sleeper. He was still in that place with her in his dreams, she was afraid of the pool because she thought it might have alligators in it so he slapped the top of the water. His paw twitches in the den but he hardly moves and if one wasn't looking carefully enough they might think he had even stopped breathing he was just so dead still in his sleep. " Come on in the water's fine..." he mumbles in his sleep before giving out a loud snore, groaning and going completely dead still again.

Leto's kissed to the brutes throat slowly ceased as he fell asleep beneath them, a soft smile spreading across her lips before she moved slightly and slowly to not wake him. Gently she slid her crown first between his fores and moved up so his fore would drape across her shoulder and ribs. The little fae buried herself into Titus's dense chest and closed her orbs, it only taking a moment for her to pass out right along with the brute. She slept soundly, not moving other than to try and press closer to him in her sleep. The little fae would sleep like that soundly through the night and into late morning with him, curled tight into his chest.

Titus slept soundly after that, however he was an early riser so was up when the sun was starting to peek over the horizon. It was still a little chilly from the previous night so he stuck his head out the opening to watch over the waters as the wetlands started to come to life again. Birds songs having started at the first sign of light were now loud and going about their daily business as always. He spotted a few gators up on some land a few miles away, they were sunning out on the dirt and sleeping heavily it made sense now why they traveled more safely during the day. He parts his maw and yawns, finally after a few more hours she started to stir he slipped out of the den to stretch his sore achy body out it felt much better then to breathe...it was like he was a new wolf born of the tree. He laughs at himself and then stops as his head perks and an audit twitches. Smelled like breakfast was all about them just waiting to be picked off so he pokes his head back in the den. " Rise and shine sleepy head! The early wolf gets the hare ya know." he announces proudly, his rump the only thing sticking out the den entrance as he woke her.

Leto squirmed being woken up, auds pressing into her skullcap to try and block out the noise as she groaned lightly. Eventually she pawed at the brutes nose as she stretched her lengthy fores towards him. Rolling slowly onto her belly Leto yawned heavily, shaking out her crown before pulling herself up onto her peds. Crawling out out her little den slowly the femme stretched her aching frame, whimpering as it hurt more now than it had last night. Finishing her stretch with her hinds and tassel she ruffled her pelt gently, letting her nares flare for a moment and groaning when she could smell herself in heat. Letting her breath out in a heavy sigh she looked up at Titus, her auds lied to their sides shyly.

Titus looked at her looking at him and tilts his head, " You okay there little fae?" he asks her with a somewhat sing song like tone to his voice. He was glad it was morning and not night anymore, the birds were chirping the air was still yuck but hey hunting time soon which was amping him up to the point he was hardly containing himself otherwise he would have been running all around the small area that held her den a top it. " We're going to miss breakfast if we don't hurry." like it was going anywhere and like he couldn't track it, it was just his impatience at hunting he was not at all seemingly phased by her being in heat to be precise he didn't even notice. His nose was sharp, but he had grown up in a pack where females came into heat almost year round there were so many of them and being bit so many times for trying to mate he had lost his sense of instinct about it so much that he could be civil around the females when most males couldn't even think for themselves. It wasn't that they weren't still there it was just that he had suppressed them for so long that he wasn't controlled by them any longer.

Leto brought her right aud up slowly when he didn't seem to even notice she was in heat, her aud dropped back again though as he spoke and she nodded, not really hungry but she figured he was by the way he was all hyped up to go hunting. She really didn't want to go, her spine hurt and her whole frame ached horribly. She wasn't sure if she liked that he didn't notice her being in heat, she wanted his attention and it was almost disappointing and a quiet sigh escaped her nares. Turning slightly with a whine to her sore body her auds perked, licking her nose gently as she looked around slowly.

Titus watched her, she was behaving strangely today but his mind was so focused on the thought of food that he couldn't figure out what it was quite yet. " Alright then weirdo but I'm going to go catch us some breakfast..." he says as he starts prancing off in the direction he had decided would hold the best prey, "...and you're eating some when I get back because you are too thin...and yes I felt you all close to me. Ribs are not a sign that you're healthy you know?" he says before bounding off after his meal, this time it was one of those dang pesky beavers that kept eluding him and he was going to taste one of those funny looking things if it meant he had to go toe to toe with a gator to do it. This however was a small sign of his instincts having picked up on her scent of heat, in his old pack a male showed his worthiness to mate by fighting for the fae he loved but he was terrible at fighting so he was doing the next best thing, facing down a gator for a meal...of course he was still effected by his instincts no matter how much he thought he was free of them of course to Titus he just merely thought he was out to catch breakfast.

Leto blinked and turned as Titus started to prance off as he intended to get them food and she whimpered, not wanting him to leave her but not wanting to go either and he spoke back to her while he walked "But- ....Okay" she sighed and lowered her hinds to watch him bound off to get them their breakfast, it made her smile lightly. Once he disappeared and she couldn't see him anymore she sighed and glanced about slowly, she didn't like it here alone anymore.. she missed him already. She hoped it just wasn't her being in heat telling her that, she didn't think it was. Pulling herself up the little femme moved to crawl back into her den, turning to lay with her crown outside the entrance as she waited for her brute to return.

Titus got closer to the beaver as he went and as soon as he was too close to be upright he got low to the ground, it waddled a bit ahead and he commando crawled forward as he scraped his belly across the dirt. It stopped, he stopped hoping it wouldn't turn its head to look back for it would see a wolf mid crawl only a few yards from it. Luckily for him it had just been keeping an eye on a gator that also had its eyes on it, but he moved quickly compared to the tired and slow gator that was really probably only looking for a mid snooze snack. But not today, no today Titus planned to prove to smart or fast for the gators which ever one proved to be true. He watched as the beaver went about chewing through a log, it was interesting to watch because they looked like they were thinking in depth on how best to proceed in every move they made. Which accounted for why they eluded him before, they were smart and stuck close to the water where he wouldn't dare slip in especially with a gator it could slip into a different pool of water and by the time the gator got to it to go after it it would be to late. He just hoped that by keeping the beavers attention he could sneak upon it in such a way that even if the gator jumped the gun he would catch the beaver in its escape. It was fool proof, within a yard of the animal he wiggled on his peds to gain up the tension it would require to fling his body over the landscape as quickly as possible to his prey. The gator saw it and took it's opportunity to try at its luck but just like he had predicted the male beaver tried to dive for the other side where it met Titus he snatched it up in his jaws and ran knowing that gator would be hot on his tail if he didn't. He just kept pressure down on the beavers throat like that until finally the thing stopped squirming. The next thing Leto would see of him was him running past the entrance to the den laughing like he was a mad scientist having just completed his greatest creation as he went by still obliviously running from the long gone gator as he had gotten caught up in his ego of having gotten one of the elusive critters he had missed the den completely not being entirely familiar with the area yet.

Orbs closed and half asleep when Titus ran by Leto woke with a jolt, auds perking and watching as the brute ran a bit aways and she chuckled before calling him back. "Titus, over here!" She smiled, laying her crown back down and yawning heavily as she waited for him to come back so they could eat and she could be close to him again.

His audit swiveled back when he heard her as he slowed to a stop, then his whole body swiveled round to look for where she was. Spotting the hole of the den he trots proudly back over his head held high as he made his approach before setting the beaver down in front of the entrance. " Tah dah~" he says with a big smile as he waited for her reaction to the meal, some part of him was starting to realize that he was trying to impress her but he still had no idea as to what end.

Leto couldn't help but smile as she watched Titus trot back over to her, head high and beaver in his jaws. Tassel wagging gently inside her den as he came over to her and plopped the carcass down infront of her she murred softly, picking herself up to step out from the den while she still smiled at him. Stepping over the beaver to get close enough to the brute her orbs closed as she ran her gentle pink ribbon slowly and tenderly up the brutes muzzle in a kiss to thank him for the food, plus she just wanted to kiss him. Her orbs opening and she looked up at him as she gave his maw a gentle lick before moving slowly to stand beside Titus. Leaning down the faes nares flared gently as she nosed their breakfast, trying to find a spot where she wanted to start to eat. The little fae still wasn't very hungry but she was going to eat for him, as much as she could atleast as she started to rip into the creatures chest cavity.

Titus had fallen when she had kissed him, he didn't know why but his knees had just given out on him and down he plopped onto the dirt. He quickly recovers, standing so that hopefully she wouldn't have noticed he takes notice that as he returns to standing her eyes were just opening again and she licks his chin. He smiles like nothing had even happened as she had smiled right at him when she had looked up into his blue eyes, then she moved to go back to the kill and he continues to watch her movements completely interested in how she would like the meal he had brought back. She had seemed quite happy that he had brought her back such a great breakfast but wanted to make sure he hadn't just misread her.

Leto placed a paw pad firmly on the beaver carcass as slowly she lowered her small frame to lay against the terra. Using her pad to keep the carcass still she tore fur and skin off the thing until she was happy with what she had gotten off. Starting to strip the beavers ribs the little fae let a soft murr escape her, it was nice she had to admit the fresh kills, they tasted so much better then anything that had already been dead for who knows how long. Once she had started eating she realized she was hungry as the emptiness of her stomach became apparent when she started to fill it. Flicking an aud Leto brought her crown up to look up at Titus with perked auds, wondering if he was going to come lay with her and eat, she wanted him to as she moved to kiss his nose lightly before going back to eating.

Titus had been standing back also because of his natural instinct to eat last but when she kissed his nose it was like the approval he needed to dig in, plus he had seen enough to know she was really enjoying the meal. He slips down along side her to start tearing off strips of his own to chew up into a fine paste before swallowing it down. " Not bad...I have to say I liked the bird better but it's not bad." he says before going back to eating again, he had a thing about prey and how they tasted of course the beaver was on the list of things to eat but not his favorites list that he had built up in his head. He was never satisfied with his skill though, he always thought there was something to perfect or critique whether it be the food he caught or the way he caught it. " What do you think?" he asks after swallowing down another strip he had half turned into a gooey paste.

Leto shivered softly and swallowed when Titus moved to lay beside her, something about the way he had rubbed up against her when he laid down set her instincts off with being in heat and she had to take a breath to calm down before she went back to eating her breakfast. Flicking an aud she continued to eat as she listened to her brute speak about the meal and how it was. When he asked her what she thought she swallowed what she had been eating and licked some blood from her maw before responding. "I think it's amazing.. but I'm a scavenger so the two meals you've caught me are the best I've had in who knows how long.." she breathed to him moving to lick some blood from his maw before going back to eating, she was determined to stuff herself.

Titus listened to her while he ate and smiles, " Well good as long as you've got me around your belly will be full of good things only." he says before stripping off another piece and eating away at it, it wouldn't be long before he had his fill as he ate at least three times a day and almost always got his fill. So his stomach wasn't nearly as empty as hers had to be, he felt bad for her and wondered how she had ended up in such a rut. " Leto...if you don't mind me asking, how did you end up here anyways?" he asks as he went to cleaning his fur of the blood that would try to stain his pelt if he didn't take care of it now.

Leto smiled to his comment about her only having good things in her belly as long as he was around.. she hoped that would be a long time. The fae began cleaning her maw gently, cleaning it of any blood she may have gotten on it while she had been eating. A heavy yawn escaped her then, curling her tassel gingerly around her hind before Titus spoke and her crown turned to look at him as she listened. The question made her sigh lightly and she looked down at the marshy ground before replying to him. "Most wolves aren't as accepting as you of what I am.. here is just.. away." She breathed quietly, having left out the part of her giving up on trying to find anything that accepted her.. he didn't need to hear that. Leto laid her crown against he brutes shoulder, a soft, quiet sigh escaping through her nares. It was okay now though.. he had found her and he had already accepted her. She nuzzled lightly into his shoulder with the thought.

Titus snorts after hearing her answer, then he looks terrified and quickly tries to recover the laugh. " Sorry sorry it's not that I'm laughing at you...I just was thinking join the club, but why stop here? Why not try to find others like you...I mean look I found you and I haven't stopped looking for wolves to accept me. Maybe you just gave up too quickly on the world, it's big and if you give it a chance..." he smiles and closes his eyes taking in a deep breath, " It'll give you everything you could ever want," he turns to her to look down at her then, " You just have to be willing to put in the effort to go out there and take it." He says getting up and starts to squirm he had this wonderful urge to run, it was spur of the moment and running always made his spirits feel so light as he seemed to fly over the land. " Hey...let's go for a run, it'll take your mind off of everything...we'll make a game of it. Who ever gets wet first loses, how about it?" he says his tail wagging quickly between his hinds.

Leto listened to the brute, having squirmed to press gently into his side while he spoke to her. The fae didn't think it mattered that she had given up already.. others were cruel to her and she just wasn't able to deal with their abuse anymore. Besides.. the only thing she wanted right then at that second was for the brute she was leaning on to stay close to her, longer than a couple days. He looked down at her then and she smiled just gently up at him, giving his nose a little kiss. When he finished speaking she nodded slowly before he moved away to get up and a quiet whimper escaped the fae, wanting his comfort that closeness gave her. Leto pulled her achy frame up onto her peds slowly, shaking out her derma lightly before turning to face her brute. When he spoke about going for a run it seemed like her whole frame tried to convince her not to go all at once as it seemed to ache more than it already did. A light sigh passed through her nares, she wanted to go and really she wasn't hurt at all so what would be so bad about going anyways? Looking up at Titus she smiled and nodded softly, mumbling out a soft agreement as her tassel started to sway at her hinds.

Titus smiles and his tail wags even faster when she joined him, " Alright...how about you lead since you'll probably know the areas where the gators live mostly and I'd rather not run us into any danger unknowingly." he suggests as he squirmed upon his pads anxious to run with the fae. The pup in him eager to play moves across her left side to circle her flank and come up on her right side ready to head off. " Oh and we should find a big group of birds..it'll be fun trust me." he grins at her and gives her chin a playful lick.

Leto giggled at the brutes playful nature, gigging his nose a little kiss before she liked around for a moment with auds perked and flickering one for a moment. "Flock of birds huh?" She mumbled quietly to herself before looking back at Titus, tassel swaying quickly at her hinds. "Okay, this way." She breathed before bounding off to her right a little ways towards a big pool of water where lot of birds liked to hang about and fish most of the time.

Titus quickly followed her and nearly slipped once into the water but caught himself with a aha! like thought you got me kind of way as they made their way to some place he hadn't ventured with her before. Then he saw a gathering of them dang birds and he slows as his natural hunter instinct started to kick in. Beaver for breakfast, crane for lunch it all sounded delicious to him oh but he remembered the rules. NO touching the water and she made it near impossible for him to catch their meal without doing so, as his mind toiled a way to figure out how to capture one without getting wet his eyes flung from one place to another as Leto could obviously see the wheels turning inside his skull. Every move precisely executed in his head and if it failed, he started over again a lengthy process before finally he sky rockets into action. A hard run at an oak tree to then turn and kick off it, landing on the floating log in the midst of the birds where he grinned. " Hello ladies." and the birds started to scatter. His more limber body made it easy for him to use the backs of the birds like lily pads until finally he caught one over land and took hold of its elongated neck to then swing down, breaking its neck easily. Then he started to dance with his rump, " Who's the wolf. I'm the wolf. Oh yeah, Oh yeah." he said proudly without noticing the alligator who too had seen the kill and was now almost on top of Titus ready to take a chunk out of him.

Leto quickly looked back at Titus, knowing the sound the muck made when something slipped and her audit flickered as she watched him stumble then catch himself and she couldn't help but giggle. He slowed then and she quickly did the same, letting him take the lead and perking her auds as she crouched to hide. She watched him think and couldn't help but smile. Then suddenly he bolted and she blinked, standing and watching as he bounded off a tree only to land on a log in the water. She stepped forward, heart racing as all the birds took off and blocked all her vision from him. She quickly ran over to the waters edge, catching him just as he came down on a large Crane and forced it to the terra near her. His expression then made her laugh, hopping into a happy trot towards him with a grin. A moment later fear spread all through her, gasping and choking on her breath. "Titus.." Her voice was a whisper as the gators jaws began to part and its deathly rumble sent a tremble through her whole being. Something clicked then, instincts kicking in and enamels baring as she bolted forward towards the reptile. "Leave him.. ALONE!" She screamed as she shoved her fore pads into the side of the beasts head, forcing it to close its eyes and sink back under water before turning to Titus. "Titus run! Now!"

He didn't have to be told twice, except he grabbed up the crane and started running like mad. Gators from all sides were now trying to catch the flopping carcass he was dragging along unwilling to give it up. He prayed like mad that Leto had made it out of there safely, perhaps his running around with bait would help her elude the what seemed to be a pack of alligators. Eventually he stopped finding a place on enough land that the ferocious gators gave up unable to match his speed on land, but he dropped the crane now uncaring of its well being as his ears perked and he searched for Leto with a whimper. " Please be okay..." he says to himself as his heart felt like it was breaking in two. She had saved him from certain death and now what had become of the girl he was falling in love with.
