Starting to name the pups...

Whimpering lowly to herself the fae was a bit calmer now as she paced, close to the house now though as her fur almost rubbed up against the old wood, parts smelling like they were slowly decaying. Her audits perked with that thought, able to actually think starlight now that she wasn't consumed in rage. As she passed the window she gave the girl again a glance, it was gentler though, only lasting a few moments before she turned her crown forward again. Nares twitching she found her way back over to the front door, the wood at the bottom having a small gap between it and the floor she lowered her crown to try and scent the inside. When she couldn't though the femme whined, using her talons at the bottom corner of the door to try and open it. When it didn't budge she whimpered, having made small grooves in the wood. It was starting to rot and she wondered if she would be able to make a small hole at the bottom. Taking the bottom corner firmly in her canines the fae jerked her crown back with it, having to pull a few times and listening to the wood snap in its strain. Eventually it gave out, a small piece of the door snapping off and the gap was just big enough to stick her snout in and look inside with a whine.

" And she left her pups for him, now that's one to write down in the books." Susan says not seeming at all frightened by the femme wolf who was now closer to achieving her goal of getting into the small shack. " Why?" the ditz asks scooting over closer to the woman as if it would protect her, she had seen the kind look in the wolf's eyes but then the ruckus with her trying to get in again scared her so badly that she didn't trust the wolf anymore. " Because wolves don't leave their pups for one another, if one is thought dead the other takes the pups and leaves. Look at her. She's ready to barge in here and kill us not a thought in her mind on anything other then her mate. It's fascinating..." she said picking up a ragged looking journal and writing in it. "...I wish humans would have such devotion when it came to love." the man snorted to himself as he again changed the bag. " I think he may need more blood Sue." he said to the woman now sitting and writing. " He'll be alright with the two, besides it won't be long before she's through that door and I don't think we want to be in her path when she does." she said before closing the book that looked filled with notes on wolves. " However once that second bag is done we'll head out, make it for the den and give those kiddies their shots before the parents are any wiser to it." she says with a nod while putting the book in her bag of tricks. Brad watched the blood bag slowly empty, " Come on...she's going to get through before this blood is in him." he mutters to himself looking to the back door and thinking about just making a break for it.

Once she could smell and see inside the faes destruction of the bottom of the humans door ceased, not able to even fit her auds past the gap but as long as she could watch she was satisfied with it for the moment. Her hinds lowering she lied outside the door, setting her chin on the cold floor that the humans had inside. She just looked up at them and listened, not really able to understand but she tried. Her jades were softer than before, her pupils not contracted and the amber around it not as bright and threatening as it had been. Finally she fae looked away from them all, her gaze shifting to her Kih. Her frame ached from the distance between them, she wanted to groom him and clean his wounds like she was supposed to. Taking in a deep breath the mistress let a long loud whine escape her, completely still and silent other than that one pain filled sound.

A tear came to the older woman's eye and she stood, " Brad help me move him." the man looked at her like she was crazy, " You know how much strength it took just to haul this guy in?!" he asked throwing his arms about in the air. " I don't care! Help me do it now." she grinds her teeth together just staring at him, of course he caves and helping Susan and the other girl lifts him, " Alright now over there near her." They both looked at her like she was crazy, " She will rip our faces off if we get that close." Susan groans and rolls her eyes, " You guys are idiots, look she can't get in through that hole and all she wants is him so lets give it to her, the blood bag is just about done and it'll give us the distraction we need to get out the back soon she'll discover the back open or he will wake and find it either way it's what we've been wanting since she got here." she says finally they moved and gently plopped the brute down in front of the onyx fae. " That's it...easy there, we haven't hurt him we just fixed him...next time keep an eye on him for us okay? We need him alive." Susan says to the wolf not sure if she understood her or not before standing. They all pack up their things removing anything from Kihyah that he no longer needed, such as the needle and blood bag putting a little band aid on where the I.V. had been inserted before heading out the back to leave the door open for them as they hurriedly made for the jeep.

Watching them all move towards her Kih the fae pulled her lips up over her canines as they touched him, squirming now as she tried to force herself though the tiny hole. Once they started to bring him towards her though she relaxed slightly, nares flaring as they lowered him close to her and she whimpered, trying to run her gentle ribbon along his chin and face. The fae noticed quickly when the humans started to leave though, slipping her crown back out of the door and it only took her a few moments to dart around the house just as they opened the door. Stalking slowly between them and their vehicle she lowered her auds, not growling or lunging or anything just glaring at them with her auds pinned as she silently asked them if they thought she was that stupid.

" Whatever you do don't look into her eyes Brad." Susan instantly scolds him as she would a child, " She could view you as being a threat then, just look down and bow your heads as if she were royalty then slowly get into the vehicle. Oh and Diana grab the box that fell off the back will ya?" she asks before she moved only ever looking into the femmes brilliant jade and gold eyes once everyone was secure inside the jeep. She started it up giving the black creature a tender nod as if to give her a farewell and good luck before the vehicle went crashing back into the woods from whence it came. Kihyah was slowly starting to wake inside the shack, but he was still so doped up he didn't know a mouse from the ceiling at this point.

Growling low to herself the fae bared her enamels towards the vehicle that had started off in the direction of her den and her pups, groaning lowly she darted inside the shack, whimpering and rubbing her face against her mates. She could feel his breathing and heartbeat and it sounded fine so she whined and kissed him gently before starting to head back to the den. She didn't leave him just like that though, she rubbed herself all along everything in her path in the house to leave a trail for him. When she got outside she did the same but she quickly picked up her pace, once she was certain she was in a place where she knew Kih would known where he was she took off in seconds. Her mind shut down and she steadied her breathing, tracking the Jeep by its horrid scent and it didn't take long before it was in sight and it wasn't at the den yet, she hadn't wasted her time. Her talons gripped the terra like cleats, driving her forward towards the den faster with every step. Her tassel helped her keep her balance, the car not able to move as fast as she could through the trees and brush. Gradually she passed up the thing, finding a way up to the den without them seeing her as they seemed to be right on her heels. Panting heavily, her heart raced as she slipped inside the den a smile coming to her lips when all three little ones she found curled up together and asleep, they had no clue any of this was happening.

The silver brute slowly starts to rise to his pedistals after Mystery had left, " Hey wait...you're pretty..." he slurs his words and stumbles forward hitting the side of the door. " Whoops pardon me ma'am." he says before weaving his way out sniffing the air as he shifted forward so far almost onto his face before he caught himself letting out a weeeee as his head flung back and he fell to the ground with a chuckle. He stared up at the blue sky to watch the clouds pass, he tries to paw at them then pull them back in to eat them like a big fluff marsh mellow.

Meanwhile...the humans approached the den carefully after bringing the jeep to a halt. " Alright lets get in and out of there quickly there should be no need to stay long." Susan said grabbing once more the bag out of her jeep and leads the way towards the den for the rest of them.

Slipping over to her pups Mystery kissed each of them tenderly, not wanting to wake them just yet she let them sleep until all this was over. Perking and aud backwards as she heard her new human friends starting towards the den she turned, tredding out of the den once again only to twist her hips as they lowered to the terra, her fores following soon after as she lied with the den to her left and the approaching humans to her right. The mistress was completely calm, simply waiting for them to come into view as she swayed her tassel just for the fun of it.

Finally after trudging up to the den panting steadily they had made it, Brad keeled over to catch his breath as the ditz ran off playing with flowers and things that floated about in the air. Susan however had looked up and seen the fae waiting for them, she was stubborn though knowing those pups needed their shots to have the best chance of survival. So she slowly started forward trying to gauge the fae's reactions on whether or not this was an okay idea.

Meanwhile...Kihyah was happily and almost as if he were drunk stumbled his way along the ground following his mates scent before picking up his own and the elk. At least that part came back to him that he needed to get it home, he took hold of the bucks neck and pulled only to fall backwards. He laughs at himself and pulls himself out from under the elks frame only to do it all over again...again his poor mind wasn't exactly thinking straight due to the large amounts of sedatives that were still inside of him.

Cupping her audits forward as the female who seemed to be the leader of the small group started slowly the fae stretched out, her tassel swaying faster as it would touch either side of her rump lightly. All stretched out like that the fae was long enough to make entering the den impossible without having to step over or move her somehow. Looking like a playful pup down there as she looked up at the female, purposely trying to give her the wrong idea when there was really no way in hell she was getting inside her den. She wanted to see how close she would actually get to her though, panting lightly in the heat as a wolfish grin seemed to spread along her maw.

" Now come on girl...I need to see your pups." Susan said as the fae stretched out in front of the den, " Please don't make me tranq you too. I'd rather you be awake to see I'm not going to hurt them." then she does rather the unthinkable she sits down leaving herself wide open for an attack and sets her bag of tricks down opening her arms in almost a display of hey I'm not going to hurt you. " Um...Susan I don't think that's a good idea..." said Brad who was backing away from the wolf, " The professor says they will kill you if given the chance." he quickly got back into the jeep unready to face the wolf the ditz wasn't slow to follow though. " Come on now..." she held her hand out slowly towards the fae to show her that she wasn't a threat to her or her pups.

Meanwhile...Kihyah giggles and then chases his tail it was an amazing thing that stuck out of his butt and had to be chased at that very moment. He runs into the elk and trips, " HEY watch where you're going." he says gruffly before getting up and realizing it was the dead elk then remembers what he was supposed to be doing and sets out to drag it back again.

Mystery blinked when the female plopped down almost beside her, her playful antics fading as curiosity took its place. Sitting up slowly so her chest was back against the terra the fae just looked at the human as she talked, starting to pick up on a few things like how the others addressed her as Susan. Seeing her sitting there when the mistress could easily lunge and latch onto her neck she was confused, tilting her crown lightly. Frankly she didn't seem dangerous when she was this low to her but the fae didn't know what to think. When the hand came forward Mystery took the offer, leaning forward to almost stick her nose in her palm as her nares twitched. When the girl didn't do anything the mistress stood slowly, careful as she tilted her auds to the side and kept her crown low as she moved forward just to scent the fabric it wore, first on its leg then slowly moving up to its shoulder and the faes inky pelt would rub up against the extended hand every now and then.

Susan beamed looking like she was having a hard time just sitting still from such a close encounter with a wolf, she moved carefully to open the bag of tricks. Pulling from it her journal and pen, only to give it to the black wolf for smelling so she knew it was nothing of harm as she only wanted to note this down. " I promise I won't hurt you dear. I just want to study you and your pups, well we do and I want to keep your pups healthy...would you be kind enough to let me see them?" she asks flicking her gaze towards the den to indicate what she wanted but making no move to go get them herself. Brad had rolled down the window at this point just a crack so he could speak, " What are you doing!? That things going to kill you first chance its got."

Meanwhile...Kihyah drug the carcass for a few minutes in the wrong direction before turning around to head the right way. He shakes his head as he starts to come out of the foggy mess wondering where he was and what had happened. Finally remembering his encounter with the mountain lioness he looks to his wounds to find them stitched. What the heck were those things that seemed to hold his skin together. He wasn't sure but he figured it was a good idea if he left them alone so he went back to dragging the kill until he finally had it up on a ridge a few yards from the den in an area where predators could get to it but their family would be safe otherwise before he pranced his little doped up butt down to the den.

Mystery watched as the female moved to get something out of a little pouch type thing, stepping back a half a step to give her room before the items were offered to her and the fae perked her auds forward to scent it, one of the things faintly smelling of trees. Licking her nose after smelling the things the mistress lowered her hinds infront of her, twisting her hips so her hinds weren't stuck beneath her and she could sit more comfortably. The fae listened intently as the human spoke, auds cupped forward as she tried to understand and gradually she got the point. Glancing over at the den as the girl did the fae twisted her audits to their sides, looking back to the female and letting a light whimper leave her, the thought of exposing her pups making her hackles ruffle and she didn't want to have to hurt the female considering in all that she had somehow helped her mate.

Susan caught eye of the male making its clumber some way down the hill almost half rolling down it in the process she knew if she wanted to get those pups their shots she had to side with the female because if that brute got too close it would be the end. Looking back to the jeep then to Mystery she held a plea in her eyes, " Please...your pups are so beautiful...I really want to see them all live and if we don't give them this shot they could...anti-rabbis that's all." she pulls one of the shots out to show it to the femme.

Meanwhile...Kihyah was half rolling down the hill at this point, he was more then excited about it as his tail wagged happily behind him even with running into rocks and trees it really didn't hurt. Of course that was the pain killers in him too, once he came to a stop he rolled up onto his feet and without even flicking the dirt off wobbles forward once more.

Sighing deeply the fae pulled herself to her peds, having felt the girls emotions rolling off of her. She was sincerely worried about her pups safety and the femme couldn't ignore that, she had helped her Kih and now she would let her help her little ones. Tredding silently into the den she picked up her girls gingerly by their scruffs, their brother squirming but not waking yet. The mistress slinked forward out of the den slowly, Psyche and Eclipse half asleep as they began to stretch in their mothers grip. Standing infront of the female she waited with her auds low for her to take one of her darlings. Her instincts screamed no but something told her this was what had to happen and it was the easiest way.

" Thank you." she said hurriedly as she takes the boy, taking him by the scruff poking it in and squeezing it out so fast the little tyke didn't even squirm or put a fuss until he had been put back down on the ground. She gets the next shot ready, pulling Eclipse for her mothers jaws next and repeating the process. Kihyah at this point noticed something was going on at the opening to his den but he couldn't quite make out what. Eclipse had made a little squeak to the poke but she too took it in stride with her brother. However it was Psyche who fussed the most, apparently not too keen on the idea of a needle being stuck in her back after watching her siblings go through it. Finally she got the pup under control enough to stick her and she wailed like she was being killed. It was the final thing to snap the silver brute out of his daze and he flung forward sprinting to take on the woman who had just made his youngest cry and it was all coming back to him...the crashing through the trees them chasing him through the woods. It was to get to his family...he growls as the woman scurries to collect her bags the two humans from the car bouncing up and down demanding she move faster as if it would get her into the car any faster. He slams into the side door of the jeep as it closes behind her, she holds her chest heaving as she watched the brute back up only to ram into the side again and jerk it. " Susan just go!!" the others screamed scared of the silver male who was determined to get into their vehicle now instead of out. She tried to get it to start but all she was getting was a raaa raaaa raaa sound then nothing. " dang it...must be over heated or something." Susan said slamming her palm into the steering wheel. Kihyah still at the side of her door then sees there is a better opening to get through and with one leap he's on the hood with the second he's inside the jeep via the cloth roof that ripped under his weight. They screamed and deserted the car running in different directions, he was angry they were supposed to take the dang thing with them...he snorts and growls seeing that they stopped to stare at him and the car. He slinks out of the vehicle via an open driver side door to loop around to his family, little Psyche running over to him with tears rolling down her face cried all the way to him. He let a few drops fall from his own face at her distress and he licks the top of her crown a few times before looking at Mystery. " Why?" he asks not sure what had provoked her to trust the creatures he warned her so many times about. It was at that point when he was very much so distracted that the group of humans jumped into the jeep and took off, it starting almost instantly.

Mystery watched in horror as Psyche wailed out as she was pricked with the long stick, just as her siblings had but they hadn't even barely made a sound. Suddenly stumbling back slightly as the female grabbed her things and ran for it, her Kih suddenly sprinting past his mistress and she whimpered, gathering the pups closer to the entrance of the den and trying to comfort her daughter as she sobbed. Next thing she knew Kih was heading back towards them and the humans had gotten their Jeep started and were heading off. Psyche running over to her Father the fae lowered her auds as he looked over to her. He only spoke one word but in hurt, her frame ached and it didn't help that he was still covered in his own blood. "Kih.. if it wasn't for her you would be dead right now.." Tears welled up in her eyes slightly. "Babe I thought you were dead.. look at yourself, I saw all that when it was still pouring out of you. You didn't feel it Kih.. she was worried about them, all she wants is for them to be healthy.." the mistress whimpered, at the moment with her girl crying and Kih looking down at her she felt like she had betrayed them and that she wouldn't be forgiven. But deep down she knew that she hadn't done the wrong thing, but then again she had. She whined, confused and eating herself alive inside.

He nods, " Alright. I trust you." he says before rubbing into her side and murring softly as he leaned down to lick his little Psyche's crown. " There there now little one, you're fine aren't you?" he asks her, she sniffles and shakes her head no. " You're not? What's wrong?" he asks the little girl points and presents her neck to him where she had just received the shot. He smiles softly and gives it a kiss, " There all better." the pup grins up at her father murring her happy little head off before running to play with her brother and sister. He lays down feeling weak and exhausted, " There's dinner up on the ridge over there." he nods towards where he left the elk, " I'm feeling sick right now otherwise I'd join you but I'll stay here and watch the pups or you could take them with but I need to sleep or something." he says laying out, unaware that it was the anesthetic the humans had given him that was making him feel like...oh well correction, made him puke. It came out of him quickly and he hadn't been expecting it, ugh how horrible was that he thought a naming day to remember indeed he just had to open his mouth. He slowly paws dirt over the bile and sighed looking down at the stitches in him, there were a lot and he knew what she had told him was the truth. For some reasons unknown to him the humans, those same creatures that had destroyed his very life were now trying to protect it. " Humans are strange creatures." he says out loud.

The mistress was relieved when her mate muzzled into her side, sighing lightly as she had some reassurance. She watched as he talked to his Psyche, smiling when the little one bounded off to play with her siblings. Her gaze shifting back to her mate she moved to lie beside him, listening as he spoke and careful not to press up against his side much. "I can eat later babe while the pups are asleep.." she breathes to him just before he heaved and her stomach tied itself in knots as she was forced to listen. Lowering her auds she helped him move some dirt over it to cover the smell or else she might hurl herself. Sighing lightly she turned to tend to his pelt, gingerly running her tongue along his bloodied fur to clean it, her gaze flickering up every now ans then to check on the pups as they played. Hearing his sudden remark about humans she mumbled softly to him between licks. "Mhmm..I practically spent the evening with them while you were out cold." The fae breathed, her grooming slowing slightly as she moved around his stitches carefully.

" And? Did you learn anything from them?" he asks her curious if she found out their intentions for messing with them only to put collars on them and fix him up apparently plus do whatever they did to the pups. He knew a lot of the human language himself having lived with them most of his life before the swamp but it was all memories before Mystery and his life before her wasn't anything he really wanted to remember. He looks over to their pups playing, he was just around Kodaks age when his parents were killed by humans...perhaps that's why he had been so upset when he found out his mate had done such a thing, he normally always trusted her decisions with everything. He turns and kisses her softly, " I'm sorry I didn't trust you...I know you would never let our pups come to harm and that was my fault not yours." he explains nuzzling into her neck.
