Starting to name the pups...

Perking her audits towards her Kih when he asked her if she had learned anything she shrugged, talking to him between little bursts of grooming his wounds. "Kinda.. I can't really understand them like you can." She breathed, flickering an aud. "One of the females, she trusts me and she was the one that did this.." the fae nosed his stitches ever so gently, looking up at him. "The other two humans were terrified of coming anywhere close to either of us. I really don't think they are trying to hurt us, they seem to want to help.." she spoke, leaning back down to finish up his right side that she had gotten pretty much cleaned off. Pulling herself up onto her peds she moved to stand over the large brute, her fore paws on the terra beside his shoulders while the hinds rested near his stomach. Cleaning down the back of his neck she backed up slowly, rolling her tongue down his hackles as she moved.

He murrs falling still as he laid his head back, the pups still playing one another was a pleasant sound to his ears. He would much rather the humans feared them and stayed away, but this woman that his mate talked about. She sounded different then most humans he had ever met, if she did stitch him up...he owed her his life and one thing he never did was forget something like that. But then his mind was dragged away from all of that when she started to groom along his neck then down to his hackles, his tail starting to thump softly on the ground as he closes his eyes. It wasn't soon after that he was softly snoring, the sedative in his system still not fully out plus the fond groomings of his mate just lulled him into a pleasant nap.

Once the fae had groomed all the way down to the base of her mates tassel she moved over to lie at his left side, taking care of his entire pelt that still had a bit of dried blood clinging to the soft strands. Her audits flickering lightly towards her pups every now and then as she would look up to check on them as her Kih had fallen asleep. His pelt not being stained with the sticky red liquid once she had finished with his left side she went in to clean his wounds deeper, careful of the stitches that held his skin together and smelled of humans.

He whines a little in his sleep when she licks his wounds, it wasn't much pain but he was having a nightmare about when he had been taken from his parents. The days events with the humans had effected his mind terribly, especially the realization that his son was about the age he had been that day so long ago. His father had gotten to the humans first, having jumped them to fight them off it wasn't until he was thrown near the den that his mother a beautiful white wolf without a stain on her pelt had told him to run off and hide...that was the last time he had seen either of them alive. He jerks awake panting heavily and looking around, the human scent still fresh in the air around him. He growls and slowly rises to his feet, walking the area around the den with a heavy limp to mark it wanting the horrific odor to be gone from them.

Hearing her mates whines as she began tending to his wounds the fae stopped for a moment, looking over at him for a moment but when the whines didn't stop she figured it must've been a dream. Sighing softly she moved to lick at his auds, slowly moving down across his nape as she tried to comfort him in his slumber. Flinching when he suddenly awoke with a heavy pant on his lips she lowered her auds when a growl left him, watching as he rose to his pads. Pulling herself up onto her peds she followed her brute, wanting to help him with whatever he was doing so he wouldn't hurt himself. He started to mark around the den and she didn't hesitate to help, having marked earlier that day when instinct had told her to do so and this just gave her reason to freshen her markings.

When she marked the terrain his nostrils flared as he took in the scent, she was coming into heat soon his audits perked up on his head with instinct. His posture and stance changed completely from that of a wounded animal to that of a proud Alpha, even with his heavy limp he was strutting as he walked to mark the place plus he was marking with even more of a purpose... attracting her with his musky smell. His tail just moving between his legs enough to allow the scent to rise up into the air around them more. After finishing marking the small clearing where their den resided he turns to rub all over her, as was his thing to let other wolves know she already had a mate and she was his.

Her own nares flared slightly as they both continued to mark and she could tell now with how he moved and the scent that came off of him that he knew she would be going into heat. Once finished marking the fae tredded over closer to her pups that had found a stick to play with. Her Kih coming up and rubbing himself against her the fae murred, more than happy to let him rub his scent all along hers. Helping gently so he didn't have to move as much she ran her crown against his nape a few times, nibbling at his aud one or twice before the mistress moved to rub her spine all the way along her Kihs chin, turning to look back at him when his chin sat near the base of her tassel and only staying like that for a few moments before coming back around to loll her ribbon along his snout.

A pleasant chill had run down his spine as she ran hers along his chin, he got a dopey lopsided grin on his face as he continued to watch her. Swallowing hard when she turned and he watched the crescent shape her body made with the twist that sent the setting sun glimmering off her beautiful coat, his jaw dropped open almost as if it had unhinged only to shut it quickly when she looked up at him with those golden jade eyes of hers to lick his snout. Which sent more pleasant little chills down his back while he murred heavily in his chest. He nudges her playfully before allowing his tongue to come out to groom at her neck while his tassel wagged even faster behind him. He sits to relieve some of the tension he felt in the stitches but continued to show his lover affection as his grooming moved to underneath her chin.

Feeling her brutes playful nudge the mistress smiled, bringing her right fore paw up to bat at his nose once as her tassel swayed. When he started to groom out over her nape though the fae murred, tilting her crown to offer more of her fur to him. Seeing him lower his hinds the femme did the same, scooting closer to the silvery brute and tilting her crown back as he began to groom underneath her chin. Flickering her auds back she listened as her pups were starting to make their way over to them, light fussy sounds leaving them as they were ready for their dinner.

He sighs hearing the little ones making their trek over to mom for dinner, he moves slipping his tail under her chin before he heads off for the kill. Knowing Mystery would be busy tending to her motherly duties he figured that eating would be a good idea now instead of later and that way he could bring her some back. He steps in some fresh scat and shakes out his paw pad before continuing forward, the dirt and grass wiping it clean as he walked up the hill to fetch the meat. Once there he rips three large pieces off, before bringing them back for dinner his trek slow as he hobbled down careful not to tumble down this time as his head was much clearer now as the sedatives wore off more and more.

Turning to address her little ones once Kih had tredded off towards their kill she nosed her sons rump towards the den and they quickly darted off inside with their Mother at their heels. Once inside the fae plopped down onto the cool dirt, rolling softly onto her left side while her pups pushed each other to get to her stomach first. Smiling at the little things as they started nursing and suddenly went quiet other than their soft suckling sounds.

It wasn't long before the silver brute returned and entered the den, he lays down two long strips near her and lays out on his chest to grab his own between his fores. Starved from the days events he instantly starts to maul the meat, tenderizing it with his molars and canines before swallowing it down. It was the best meal he had ever tasted, maybe because he had almost not lived to taste it either way it was delicious. He looks over at the pups who too were having their meal for the evening soon they would be drifting off to sleep for the night probably still curled up into her with milk in mouth as they usually did.

The faes gaze turned to the entrance of the den when her Kih strolled inside, it was dim inside with the sun setting but she could see the large strips of kill that hung from his maw. Licking her chops lightly her nares twitched, taking in the scent of her dinner as her tassel began to sway lightly. Her mate leaning down to set the meal infront of her she kissed his muzzle before he moves away to eat his own. Setting a paw atop the flesh she didn't waste any time, it had seemed like so long since she had had a meal and her stomach growled lowly. Using her canines she tore a chunk from the large piece, Murring softly as the flesh touched her tongue.

Kihyah watched her eat from time to time, proud that he had brought her something that was a change. Looking by how she was enjoying that meal it was a good change, he too tore into it as crimson flooded his mouth and the muscular tendrils were easy to chew. The elder had been an excellent choice as his meat wasn't too tough, instead because of its lack of movement recently it was tender and delicious. He finishes his piece rather quickly as hunger was setting in from the long day, he rises to his peds moving out of the den to find the small spring nearby that would give him a nice cool drink.

Listening at her mate left the den only to slink off a ways she twisted her crown towards the entrance, finishing up her dinner soon after he had left to get his drink. Licking her chops to clean it of some blood that was sticking to her maw. Settling her crown down against the terra the fae gave out a soft content sigh, her pups sound asleep at her stomach now as they slowly seemed to migrate closer to each other. Stretching her fores out infront of her the femme yawned, quickly relaxing there now that her belly was full.

He returned with a very full belly and quite satisfied, her scent in the air caused his tail to have a confident swing about it as he headed back to their home. Once entering the den he smiles seeing the brood of babes sleeping comfortably against their mother all huddled up together for warmth. He crosses over to them and gently lays himself down behind his mate, pulling a paw up to rest across her shoulder as he gave her neck affectionate kisses to groom her hair back and help keep its beautiful sheen.

Feeling her Kihs frame lie up against her spine the inky mistress sighed contently, her orbs closed in her relaxation and the exhaustion of the days events was quickly catching up to her. Her frame relaxed into her mates affectionate kisses, sliding her crown back closer to him as he put his fore across her to hold her gently. "I love you.." The fae whispered to her silvery brute, suddenly realizing that she might not have been able to have him beside her tonight if things hadn't turned out the way they did. Her tongue sliding out from her maw she kissed his muzzle tenderly once, her crown sliding back until she could feel his chest against it.

He smiles softly, " I love you too." he says gently giving her neck a playful nudge before laying his jaw out across it. A large yawn escaping him after that parted his maw so wide that his tongue curled. Once his enamels clicked back together he rose his head to shake it somewhat and blinks heavily before resting it back across her neck again. " We have such a beautiful family." he says with a content sigh, taking them all in he too realized just how close he had become to being no more and never seeing them again but he moved on from that because he was here thanks to those bi-peds and even though they had shown kindness he was still very wary about their true intentions. These were the thoughts that were running in his head as his eyelids started to droop lower and lower until finally he was asleep for the night.

The fae listened her her mates long yawn beside her aud as his chin rested against her nape, opening an eye to look up at his as he shook out his crown but soon closed again. Hearing his words to her she gave out a mumbled 'Mhmm' to him, normally she would've said more but the poor fae was already half asleep there cuddled into her pups and mate. It only took a few more minutes before the femme was completely knocked out, draping a paw over her snout in her sleep before going limp.

Kodak woke before the rest of his family, the sun having hit his eyelids first. He pulls back his mouth to widen his jaw in a small yawn as his eyes closed. After admitting a tiny squeak at the end of it he turns to make sure his siblings and parents were all sleeping before his gaze turned to the opening of that den. He had one thing on his mind today, exploring without anyone to hold him back.

Kihyah was still sound asleep, he could at least be out until lunch from the previous days events as his body was still recovering from the trauma it had endured. He shifts momentarily in his sleep just to get closer to his mates bodice, it was a soothing reminder that she was still there beside him and all was well. Little was he aware that his son was already tip toeing out the dens entrance.

Feeling her brother move out from underneath her crown Psyche squirmed in her slumber, snuggling closer into her sisters larger frame before her orbs flickered open. The light just catching her optics as she lifted her crown the tiny fae flinched, blinking away the white spot in her eyes. Looking up again to find Kodak trying to leave the den again she perked her auds toward him, her right aud still folded over slightly as it didn't stand straight like her left. Yipping ever so gently towards her brother so she wouldn't wake anyone else she waited for him to atleast turn to look at her.

Mystery still slept all cuddled up against her Kih, her fore that she had placed over her snout blocking the sun from waking her from her much needed rest. Her breathing was deep and there was no way she was waking up anytime soon without being jarred from it somehow. Audit flickering in her sleep when her daughter yipped the fae squirmed lightly, only to go still again when she felt her mate press closer into her frame.

He stops mid stride when he heard his sister yip behind him, his head and ears drooping low as his tail went between his legs thinking he was already caught by his parents. Surely they had heard his sister, but when he didn't get a scolding from his dad he turned to see that Psyche just wanted to come with, he sighs rolling his eyes but motions for her to follow waiting near the opening for her to join him.

Kihyah had heard the yip and had been about to wake to see what was going on when it fell silent, half asleep he just figured it was one of the pups either trying to get milk from their mom or was having a dream either way he was still too tired to wake. Letting out a soft yawn he drifted back into his deep sleep.
